Brumder Mansion B&B
George Brumder, a prominent Milwaukee business leader, built this majestic brick home in 1910 for his eldest son. Designed in the English Arts and Crafts style, it blends Victorian, Gothic, and Arts and Crafts elements. All common rooms contain massive oak fireplaces, exquisite woodwork, and beautiful antiques.
The formality of the interior contrasts with the home's relaxed, friendly atmosphere and the warmth of your host, Carol Hirschi. The home's lower level contains a small theatre which is home to professional productions and acting classes. I invite guests to join me in the audience.
Close to Interstate 94 and downtown, the Mansion offers easy access to festivals, museums, State Fair Park, Miller Stadium, Marquette Universiy, shopping, and dozens of restaurants. You'll stay in a comfortable, urban, multi-cultural Historic District surrounded by grand Victorian homes and historic buildings.

Similar to an open-faced omelet made with heavy cream, nutmeg, mushrooms (and other vegetables or bacon as requested). It is started on the stove and finished under the broiler with Gruyere, aged Swiss, and parmesan cheeses. Served with fresh fruit and potato galette.
