Been trying to get back for 13 years

    May 08, 2013

Arbor House was the first B&B I ever stayed at and it is the one that all others have had to aspire to. I'm not the most comfortable at sitting family style with a bunch on strangers so I usually prefer hotels because breakfast can be shared with just the person you are with. At the Arbor House breakfast is served in a café atmosphere that lends itself open to talking with your neighbor and just concentrating on the person you are with. Looking forward to going back.

We were going to Madison for a Badger football game and thought we'd try a bed and breakfast after having good luck at one in Key West. The Arbor Inn was very nice and comfortable. Cathie was a fine hostess and is also a great cook. We enjoyed the interaction with other guests and the food was great. We stayed in the John Nolen room and it was very cozy. We certainly would stay there again.

    Great location, great stay

    September 05, 2011

We were dropping off our youngest daughter at UW-Madison and wanted to explore the Madison, Wisconsin Campus area. We wanted to bike around the beautiful city and our friends recommended Arbor House (http://www.arbor-house.com) as a great place to stay. Rooms were spacious, quiet, friendly staff, and a great location for upcoming Badger games and visits. You feel like family when you stay at Arbor House and would recommend again. The arboretum is directly across the street, and quaint shopping is just a few blocks away. This video captures everything we were looking for. Grret time and we will stay here again.

    Can't Say Enough!

    June 13, 2011

I stayed at the Arbor House for a Girlfriends' weekend away. We had a very clean room with excellent service. The smell of fresh baked brownies is what we arrived to. All the natural/organic products were a plus. The walks around the area were beautiful and it was always quiet/relaxing. The best part was how accommodating they were with my Gluten-Free diet. Not only was I able to enjoy the desserts, meals and snacks that the rest of the guests were able to eat, but the Gluten-Free version was absolutely delicious! My next visit to Madison will include a stay at the Arbor House. I thank them very much for the comfort and the service.

    urban oasis

    October 26, 2008

Spent three nights at Arbor House, an urban oasis not far from the University. Great walks in the area, beautiful rooms, a sauna, and attentive service.

    Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Very much appreciated the bicycling facilities, excellent way to see around Madison. Lovely company at breakfast. Remarkably quiet despite proximity to main road. (visitors from Austalia).

    Food service needs some attention

    June 13, 2008

My husband and I stayed two nights for a couple's get away in June. We loved our room, the Inn, and the location. The only problem we encountered was at the cocktail hour and breakfast. There was never enough food, glasses or plates for the number of guests staying (around 8 each night). The guests who arrived a little later during the service were stuck hunting down someone to replenish the food and service items. Seems like they could either put out enough at the beginning or check back to see how it is going during the service instead of disappearing completely.

Great place to stay in Madison!

    November 18, 2007

I was in town for business and chose the Arbor House for it's Green Approach. I couldn't have been happier. I was in town for only a night and appreciated the complimentary bikes. I was able to catch up on work in the evening and go for a ride in the morning. I only wish I had some extra time to enjoy the dry sauna. I look forward to staying again.
