A really neat historic mansion. Walking distance to town. Loved the fact that there was a martini lounge on the first floor. We stayed in the Rainbow Room, which was nice. Although the bathroom was almost comically small. It was fine for us, but if you are a larger person, or very tall, then you'll probably be cramped in the shower. Our stay included breakfast, and there was a very small window of opportunity to get it in the morning (between 8:30-9am). But let me tell you, it was way worth it! Overall, great service, friendly staff, great experience!

What made this visit special were the extra amenities & the hostess. E.g. soft music playing in the room when you opened the door, and anniversary ballroom, card and special treat, the beautiful gardens viewed from the breakfast room, etc.

Beautifully restored mansion. 4 course breakfast (every meal ends in chocolate"). 24 hr coffee/tea bar. Very welcoming host. One caveat - be aware that the Rainbow room has a European-sized bathroom (complete with one ofe those adorable half-sized sinks.
