We have visited Hummingbird Ridge Bed and Breakfast for more than 5 years. We keep coming back because of the beautiful location, wonderful hospitality and relaxing atmosphere created by Innkeepers Stephanie and Will. The food is first rate and never fails to delight. Love it all.

A number of years ago we happened upon Hummingbird Ridge B & B. From our first (of many) visits it was very clear that Stephanie and Will were very special people who offer much more than a warm and comfortable home and fabulous breakfasts. The location of the B & B is in the lovely Kickapoo Valley with the beauty of nature, and the simplicity of the Amish.

My husband & I just spent the past 3 nights at the Hummingbird Ridge B&B. We needed the break from work & we sure enjoyed hiking & looking for fossil rocks. The side trip to Viroqua & the rock shop there was a very interesting. Getting bulk food supplies at an Amish store was great. Loved every minute!

We frequently stay at B&Bs and hummingbird Ridge is a definite "keeper". The excellent and incredibly affordable accommodations are situated in the middle of one of the Midwest's most spectacular regions. Stephanie and Will are intelligent and lively hosts, who serve up wonderful conversation with their delicious breakfasts. Staying at their B&B felt like visiting close friends who had graciously opened up their home to us. Our only complaint is that we didn't have more time to spend at Hummingbird Ridge.

We had a large, comfortable, quiet room with all the amenities. Our host and hostess, Will and Stephanie, were wonderful. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Outdoor surroundings are beautiful.

I knew when I spoke with Stephanie on the phone that Humming Bird Ridge and its proprietors would meet expectations. To our delight, all expectations were exceeded. First-rate home-made breakfasts and engaging conversation with Stephanie and Will. Both of them are knowledgable about the area, its history and culture, and its wildlife. They gave us many good recommendations (with directions!) for our daily exploits. A peaceful homestead farm location in SE Wisconsin's Kickapoo River area. The only sounds we heard were bird songs and the breeze rustling in the trees. We'll be back!!

Great time! Secluded area. Helpful and friendly host. Accommodating. Good value. Whether you want to relax in the serene nature, shop or hike around-plenty to do.

I have never stayed at a B & B before so I was a bit skeptical. The day we were to arrive I was not feeling so good so I had my doubts about staying with strangers. From the minute I pulled up with my girlfriend on my Harley my mind was changed. I felt as if I was home visiting family. stephanie and Will were comforting from the start. We chatted on the porch and I was very relaxed. I then wanted to take a hot shower to ease my stuffed up head form my cold. Everything was so clean and comfortable. We awoke to hot tea and coffee and a wonderful breakfeast. My girlfriend told will she does not eat pork and he made her a special vegetarian omlette.(please let them know in advance if you have a speciel diet) so they can accomadate. Besides meeting the 2 wonderful people that ran the place we got to know the other guest and had great conversation about music and guitars. I will be back for sure. Hummingbird Ridge remains one of our favorite getaways. Stephanie and Will never fail to delight -- the food is 1st rate, the rooms charming and the atmosphere is delightful!

It's taken me FAR too long to write this review - I wanted to write it right away, but preparing for and going back to school got in the way. Anyway, I visited the Hummingbird Ridge B&B at the end of July with my teenage daughter. We had the most wonderful time and Stephanie and Will (the inn-keepers) were absolutely lovely, kind and welcoming hosts. Their home is spotless and filled with wonderful antiques and other interesting and beautiful pieces. The food was FABULOUS and the hospitality and personalities of the "inn-keepers" (also known as our new extended family!) were inviting and refreshing! It is just wonderful to meet such nice people, especially when it is so unexpected... Also, the other patrons were very interesting and so nice to interact with. This home seems to attract like-minded people. ... I highly recommend this B&B for a quiet, peaceful getaway. I can't wait to return! :)

My boyfriend and I just stayed at the B&B this past weekend. It was our first time staying at a B&B and it was a great first experience - we had a WONDERFUL time!! Will and Stephanie were such good friendly people. Very accomodating, welcoming, and helpful. The breakfasts were great - Will even created a special salsa right on the spot when we all mentioned we liked spicy foods (it was absolutely delicious by the way). The location of their home is surrounded by gorgeous hills and trees. It was just such a fun time - not to mention tons of fun things to do during the day - hiking, horseback riding, orchards, ect. I highly recommend this B&B and would definitely stay here again!

What a wonderful place! Spotless, comfortable and the food....YUM! And then you get to meet Stephanie & Will, the innkeepers, and you never want to leave! We'll be back.

The owners, Will and Stephanie, have a real gift of hospitality. Their engaging personalities put you at ease the moment you meet them. The B&B is a beautifully restored farmhouse in the heart of Amish country; very tranquil and beautiful. And Stephanie makes it a point to never cook the same thing twice for her guests. I enjoyed my stay & look forward to returning.

Lovely country setting. Beautifully decorated with antiques & Amish quilts. Food and service were outstanding. We felt more like friends than guests. Enjoyed the relaxing time sittin' on the porch in the evening. Birds were fun to watch. Nice to visit their gift shop. Great experience would recommend to anyone who enjoys the country.

You can't ask for nicer hosts, rooms are very nice, food is great and did I say the hosts are great, the hosts are great! Going back as soon as we can!

My husband and I wanted a quiet night out of Chicago. I discovered this peaceful B&B in the midst of the unglaciated, lush valleys of Southwest Wisconsin. The innkeepers were warm and attentive, the food was mouthwatering and the porch so comfortable we stayed there for hours watching the hummingbirds argue over their feeders.

Hosts, Stephanie and Will, were awesome. The secluded location of the B&B was so peaceful. We hope to return again!

the owner couple is very friendly and easy-going. You would feel like staying at your relative's home. They are very knowledgeable and helpful with the area history and attractions. highly recommended.

Wonderful hosts of a B&B set amid natural setting. Saw numerous wildlife and lovely spring flowers. Breakfasts were divine.

This country B&B was more than expected, comfortable and not so formal. Innkeepers were extremely friendly and treated you like family. The home is in a beautiful part of Wisconsin surrounded by Amish neighbors. It is tastefully decorated with antiques and Amish furniture. It was so relaxing sitting on the back deck watching the sunset and on the front porch watching the sunrise. Never saw so many different birds in one yard. Nice gift shop on the grounds which includes some antiques, wood carvings and Amish quilts & furniture. Highly recommend this B&B for a relaxing getaway.

We wanted to enjoy a weekend at Hummingbird Ridge to celebrate our recent wedding. We were met with a homemade cookie heart and had 2 great days talking to other guests and driving around the area. Breakfasts were just wonderful and Stephanie and Bill are now new 'old friends'

I have returned many times to the peacefulness of the Ridge! As I read through the reviews, I have discovered that many other people have found what I found at this wonderful respite from the rest of the world. Stephanie and Will are warm welcoming hosts! The 'from scratch' breakfasts are scrumptous, served in a setting that makes lingering over one more cup of coffee and some engaging conversation a must! I always look forward to my next visit, and then wish I had more days to stay!

The innkeepers are exceptionally kind and thoughtful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the delicious breakfasts are served hot off the stove. The location is extraordinarily peaceful, on a quiet hilltop in the beautiful rolling countryside of the northern Kickapoo Valley. We wish we could have stayed much longer.

This was the best B&B we've ever stayed at. The owners go above and beyond as fas as hospitality goes. The gourmet breakfasts are awesome. The B&B was very clean and the countryside was beautiful. We will go back again!

Whether sitting on the deck, front porch, family room or at the breakfast table,Stephanie and Will are gracious hosts. Outdoor opportunities abound both at the B&B and in the local area. I stayed at this homey & comfortable B&B for my brother's wedding reception. I brought my 3 year old son, mother, and sister. We all had an incredible stay. Steph & Will are FANTASTIC and BEST breakfast.

Will and Stephanie are great hosts. They make you welcome and comfortable from the moment you walk through the door. The breakfasts are amazing and just the perfect beginning to a day of outdoor activities of which there are MANY in the area. The Fall is the perfect time to kayak the river - the crowds are way down, the weather isn't too hot and people in the area are very friendly. The area has been cleared of any flood damage from the August rains and is in great condition. Hiking, biking and horse trails also about. If you like your food spicy, I know Will has a special salsa he will probably let you try! Thanks for a wonderful weekend getaway - we'll be back.

We stopped at Hummingbird Ridge on our way home from Minnesota. Will and Stephanie were absolutely delightful hosts. You are literally in very rural Wisconsin. There is no cable TV and limited cell phone reception. To be honest, we didn't miss either. We went out to a small town restaurant for dinner. Prices were extremely reasonable and the people very friendly. When we returned to the B&B, we spent the evening on the porch talking with Will, Stephanie, and the other guests. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. We had to head back home. The other guests were heading to a local winery. There is also canoe rentals and a state park very close to the B&B. Hummingbird is also in the heart of Amish country. There are numerous small shops close by. You need to drive carefully because of the many horse and buggies. If you are looking for a quiet weekend away, I am sure that you would enjoy Hummingbird Ridge.
