5 out of 5Absolutely wonderful!
July 29, 2012
My husband and I stayed at the Wisconsin House Stagecoach Inn for three nights which means we had three wonderful breakfasts and three lovely morning chats with innkeeper Pat. The room was very homey, think comfy cottage over Victorian at this former stagecoach stop. The breakfasts were amazing, we didn't need lunch after the scrumptious and filling breakfasts. We spent some time in Galena and drove to one of the rails to trails bike trails for a day of biking. The website doesn't mention some great amnesties like free wifi and use of the outdoor gas grill, utensils and all. Don't forget to try the homemade cookies in the sitting room. They're delicious!

December 18, 2009
I recently stayed at the Wisconsin House Stage Coach Inn with three friends. Our room (the 2-bit Suite), was very spacious, clean and cozy. The keepers were very polite and friendly. Each morning, after a wonderful home-cooked breakfast, they would sit and chat with us. They offered ideas on what to see and do in the area, and they filled us in on all the good restaurants. I would highly recommend this Inn to anyone who is looking for a unique and comfortable place to stay for a weekend trip or longer.

This was the most quaint and wonderful bed and breakfast! My husband and I decided on a whim to take a weekend vacation in Galena and found this bed and breakfast. The Innkeepers Ken and Pat were VERY nice and accommodating. Our room was well kept. Not to mention the breakfast...Ken is a WONDERFUL chef! Would love to visit again!

Overall, our stay was great. Breakfast was wonderful--my husband even at the fruit! Our room was very clean and comfortable. But my husband is very tall and the ceiling angles were a bit of an issue. For being "out in the country," there was certainly a lot of noisy truck traffic late at night.

Very accomodating hosts. Many different places to relax - indoors and out, magazines and newspapers to read, snacks and drinks to enjoy at our fingertips. The best part was the amazing, delicious breakfast!

We were delighted to find that the proprietors would honor without question our Channel 10 Friends "buy one - get one free" card. We had anticipated that it might be difficult to collect on that, but our first phone call confirmed it for us in a very friendly way. We chose the Chicago room and it was perfect, if a tad small, but this is an authentic inn and the size goes with the package. We happen to be big tennis fans so were delighted that we could watch as much as we wanted of the US Open in the general living quarters. The location is fabulous, especially for motorcyclists like us who like to travel and take in all the sights. Being that close to both Dubuque & Galena was primo. The bed incredibly comfortable; the breakfast outstanding; the hospitality great. We wouldn't change a thing, except maybe the breakfast time, but we understand the need for structure.

My visit at Stage Coach Inn was very pleasant. I had been there twice before so I expected outstanding service. The only comment I would like to add is that although the food was very good it was the same as in the past. I also think there should these days be accommodations for "healthier" fare & gluten-free diets.

Pat and Ken provide a warm, comfortable and homey nook tucked away in the SW corner of WI. in Galena Territory. The sense of history in authentic this stagecoach inn providesthe perfect place for a peaceful escape from the fast track of life. My husband and I are faithful quests of Pat and Ken since they took over the inn. They have given the place their personal touch and care for every detail in a way that honors it's past. We enjoy the personality of each room and have tried them all. Yet the most surpirsing and creative offering of the place is their delicious and abundant meals. The presentation of each shows the respect and care they intend for each guest. We leave each time well rested and filled to the brim with caring friendship.
