Thorp House Inn & Cottages
Conveniently centered in the heart of Fish Creek village, just one block above Main Street. A dense forest and limestone bluff provide a natural backdrop for this National Register property. This Inn was the inspiration for LaVyrle Spencer's bestselling "Bittersweet". Guest rooms are authentically detailed with antiques and documentary wall coverings. Cottages are decorated in country antiques - most with wood burning fireplaces and whirlpools. Upon arrival, guests may not want to get back into their car for days. The waterfront and beach are just a block away and Peninsula State Park...just another 2 blocks. The many attractions within Fish creek include: fine dining, boutiques, galleries, live theatres, Eagle Bluff Lighthouse and the Historic Noble House (both open for touring in summer). The Inn and its Cottages are open all year and host the first stop on the "Fish Creek Historic Inns Progressive Dinners" held on the first three weekends of December and also on the weekend of January 9 and 10. Please see our website for more information.
