My husband and I stayed here for a two-night stay. It was in celebration of our 28th anniversary. Everything about it was outstanding...the room, the service, the food...everything! But in particular, Claire and Frank are especially friendly and personable. We had a wonderful stay...and would recommend it to anyone!

    What a disappointment...

This was our first get away to Door County. After reviewing many B&B, I selected Door County Lighthouse. The room pictures posted on their website misrepresent the actual size of the room, I think they used a wide angle lense! The beds are not queen size as listed on the website. There are some lumps in the bed. We met a wonderful couple at the B&B and they asked if we were in disbelief from the website to the acutal room. We agreed. A real disappointment for our first getaway. We will be back to Door County but not Door County Lighthouse.

    Innkeeper Response
Dear Very Disappointed, We are sorry we did not meet your expectations at Door County Lighthouse Inn. We are a cozy B&B which was stated on the home page of our website, cozy means closeness. We never sold ourselves with large spacious rooms or suites. Our photos were taken with a standard 45mm lens, (a wide angle lens is 22 mm) standing at the entrance door. We don’t know which room you were in or when you were here. All our beds upstairs are queen size beds 60” X 80”. We would never sleep in a full size bed ourselves nor would we subject our guests to one. As for a lumpy bed, all our beds have a 2” loft bed pad for extra comfort. I apologize if the housekeeper failed to straiten the bed pad when making the bed. I wish you would have told us how unhappy you were. We would have found a different B&B for you to stay at. The last thing we’d want is an unhappy guest. We are not a perfect fit for everyone. We did not deceive you on any feature of the B&B. I’m sorry you felt we weren’t clear enough on our website.

We stayed at the Pinecrest Cabin managed by Claire and Frank of the Lighthouse Inn, and I HIGHLY recommend it! Beautiful, private site with full kitchen, fire pit, grill, hammock, fireplace and more. 2 couples shared the cabin and was perfect.

I stayed here with my adult daughter for an annual mother-daughter get-away over lighthouse week. We had never stayed here before and made the choice based upon the reviews, website, and what the B&B had to offer. We were not disappointed!! To start with, the inn is adorable. It is tastefully decorated with lighthouse decor everywhere. The grounds are beautiful!! It is set upon slightly higher ground than highway 42, and it is back a bit so it overlooks the town and has a lovely rolling hill feel to it. Every room has a private balcony/deck and comfortable chairs on the deck. The 5 guest rooms are individually decorated and each is named after a different lighthouse. The rooms are light and airy, with lots of windows and light. Each room has a private bathroom, a mini-fridge, Wi-Fi, and a DVD player. Claire and Frank are absolutely WONDERFUL... the perfect inn-keepers!! They truly love what they do and it shows in all they do. The are warm, welcoming, good listeners, and very willing to share tips about local activities and restaurants. It was so comforting at the end of the day to get home from a day of busy activities and have Claire there to ask you how your day went and what kind of activities you did!! They are truly gracious, hospitable, kind people. They both willingly helped us with a variety of requests anddid so cheerfully. My daughter and I felt like family!! The breakfasts were wonderful!!! Hot full breakfasts complemented by fruit and fresh-baked items greeted us each day. We could not have asked for a better experience than the one we had at the Door County Lighthouse Inn! It truly made our stay in Door County a wonderful, personal experience!

Claire and Frank are very fun and exciting. The room was great and the breakfast was even better. They where very helpful in planning activites for us and never lead us astray with anything. I'd stay with them again if I get another chence to travel to Wisconsin.
