Washington House Inn

My wife and I stay in Cedarburg at least once a year and alway look forward to staying at the Washington House in. The Wine and cheese hour is a great way to start the weekend. The rooms and beds are wonderful and the morning breakfast is something to look forward to. We will be coming for many more years to come!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Washington House Inn, we will be back after having such a great time, friendly people, service and great shops.

We loved it! Awesome room with neat exposed walls and charming furniture, a cute downtown area with lots to do. Nice breakfast, friendly staff, clean rooms- we would stay again!

Excellent wine bar in the early evening. Unbelievable home made breakfast "goodies". Fresh squeezed juices, pastries to die for, and a "hot breakfast ham & cheese bake" that exploded with taste.... New Berlin, WI

This was our second stay at the Washington Inn. We bought a nice package thru living social that included movie tickets, winery tour and a gourmet taffy apple. The movie tickets and winery tour tickets do not expire so we will be using those during a future visit as I am sure we will return. We love the wine and cheese tasting hour and their breakfast is always like going to Grandma's after church. My on wish is that they would offer a vegetarian egg dish. Always an enjoyable and relaxing experience.

Second stay for us. The first stay we used a Groupon and enjoyed it enough to come back. Enjoyed the wine & cheese evening and the unusually good dining room breakfast in the morning. Plus, our room on the lower floor had an exit on one side that led outside to within a few steps of the dining area, and an exit on the other side to the parking and street areas. Very cozy, very happy.

As we drove away from the Washington House Inn, my wife started to fill out the Inn's comment card and asked me about the first item. I interrupted her and said "just rate every category Excellent". That's the best way to describe our stay at the Washington House Inn: "excellent in every way".

This was a great Bed &Breakfast, perfect location in town and very quiet. We didnt know how many people were staying at the Inn until we went down for breakfast. We stayed in the Fred Asche room and loved it. It was very cozy and the bed was very comfortable. We are already trying to figure out when we can go back.

This is a wonderful Bed & Breakfast and we are always excited to come back.

Our stay at Washington House Inn was wonderful. The sleep experience was relaxing and comfy! We enjoyed the cheese and wine tasting while meeting other couples. The breakfast was great! There was so many choices and everything was delicious!

we have stayed at the washington house, a bunch of times, and will continue to do so, but.......when we came down for breakfast at approx. 9:30, any hot food that had been served was gone, and no one offered to make more. also, when we walked back through the lobby an hour or so, later, many of the staff were sitting in the dining room eating what i think should have been my breakfast.

We regret that we ran out of a breakfast item prior to the end of our breakfast service.We do hope you enjoyed the other selections on our "expanded continental breakfast buffet" that morning. Those included: Banana Cake, Crumb Cake, Maple Scones, Cranberry Scones, yogurts, organic hard boiled eggs, fresh strawberries and pineapple, a selection of artisan breads for toasting, an assortment of cereals, and granolas, fresh squeezed orange juice, as well as tomato and cranberry juice, and of course our coffee and tea choices. We do extend an invitation to our staff to enjoy any items that remain after our guests have been served, and our breakfast (7AM-10AM) ends. We are delighted you have stayed with us prior to your past visit, and plan to stay with us again in the future. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

We have stayed here many times and will keep returning this is the perfect location for a weekend getaway.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful night at the Washington House Inn. The best part was we got upgraded to one of their suites for no extra charge! The room was fantastic, and once we were checked in we didn't want to leave. It was a very refreshing and romantic get-away for us.

The Washington House Inn was a tremendous place to get-away and celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary.

The room was great! My husband and I enjoyed our time here. The room wasn't as clean as I had hoped with the glassware in the room appearing dirty.

We have stayed at the Washington House Inn, in various rooms, on several occasions. Each of our stays have exceeded our expectations. The evening reception and morning continental breakfast are wonderful! Staying over Christmas while visiting family has become a family tradition and we would never consider staying anywhere else.

The room was perfect - clean, wonderful. The hot tub was great, bed cozy, wine and cheese excellent and breakfast was worth leaving that relaxing room. Can't wait to come back.

We stayed in a fabulous room with accommodations for three people. It was comfortable, spacious and lovely with a vaulted ceiling that never left us feeling crowded.

This was our third stay at the Washington House Inn and the first time in the Shroeder House. Each stay has been better than the next. I highly recommend the Shroeder House Room #2. Very comfortable, relaxing and private. There is a great front porch overlooking town if you like to sit and people watch. Homemade breakfast was delicious! Would return in a heartbeat!

We love staying there. The personal are friendly the rooms are very clean and homey. Its in such a nice little citywith everything in walking distance. We will go back again...probably many times

Staying at the Washington Inn has become a tradition for my wife and I during the Christmas holiday. It provides a chance for us to get a little time by ourselves during the hustle and bussle of the holiday season. Cedarburg has a lot to offer during the holidays and the Washington Inn really makes the experience special. The historical character of the Inn is great and festive. The rooms are impecably maintained and provide everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The evening wine and cheese party and the hearty breakfast offer a nice upgrade over most B&Bs. We will be back for sure

Loved this location, this was an amazing experience. VERY clean rooms, service is top notch, these are the nicest people. The rooms are so comfortable and the beds are amazing! I highly reccomend this property.

Had been here 24 yrs ago. They had expanded but this did not deter from the ambiance of the inn. So warm and welcoming. It won't take as long to get back again.

Wonderful place to stay. Everything was outstanding. Cederburg is a great walking around town. Enjoyed our stay. Be sure to place your shoe outside the room door at night.

A simply beautiful room with two levels and lots of charm. Loved the location and the decor. Breakfast was yummy and a perfect way to enjoy the day after the holiday.

I was in the Cedarburg area on business, and found my stay at the Washington House Inn to be in a great location, the room was comfortable, free Wi-Fi, and a handy self-serve breakfast that had me on my way the next morning.

My husband brought me here to celebrate my 5oth birthday and to give us a much needed break the Washington House fit the bill for both! We have stayed here many times over the past 13 years and we have always had a comfortable stay, with wonderful food, beautiful rooms and very gracious hosts. I was very pleased with the fact that they now provide a choice to dine downstairs or have your breakfast delivered to your room at the time of your choice. I can't wait to go back again!

The rooms at Washington House Inn are genuinely old but nicely appointed, with a soft terry robe, thirsty towels, sumptuous pillows and thick bed coverings. I especially enjoyed the steam shower (what a treat after a chilly day)! I expected an excellent breakfast, and it was- look out for the yummy souffles. Wine and cheese in the evening is an extra bonus, and the Vidalia dip is not to be passed on. Last but not least is the local shopping, with fair prices and a nice selection in many small shops. Cedarburg rocks!

We wanted to celebrate our wedding night somewhere special and different. We certainly found our place!! Our room was very clean and beautiful. We enjoyed the wine tasting hour and the breakfast was wonderful too! Cedarburg is a lovely town to explore and the shopping is great. A very positive experience for our first visit to a B&B! Already planning the next trip and this time we are hoping to bring friends! Thanks for making such a special day even more memorable!!

Nice clean rooms- sheets were so comfy! and breakfast was better than expected. even had gluten-free bread option for my wife. also loved the wine and cheese hour. we will be back.

Breakfast was spectacular. We stayed at the Schroeder Guest House in Room 1. We found our room to be spacious, clean, and comfortable. The whirlpool bath tub was delightful. We plan on staying there during future trips to Milwaukee.

What a fabulous place to stay! We chose the Gertrude Schroeder room (SH1) which is part of the Guest House. The 'private' (not really, but it felt private to us) garden right out side our door was a great place to relax and have a glass of wine. The room was absolutly charming with a modern whirlpool tub and stand up shower. I only wish we had more time to stay!

We have been staying at the Washington House for quite a number of years and they only seem to get better. The facility and rooms are consistently clean and everything is so well maintained - fresh paint and clean tile in evidence everywhere. Room #212 is extremely nice for a special or longer stay. They breakfast has improved over the last couple of years due to them consistenly offer more protein food options. As always, everything is homemade and delicious. We highly recommend a stay or many stays at the Washington House.

My husband and I took a mini-honeymoon here for three days and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! The service was inpectable-very timely and considerate. The dining was fantastic, an arrray of options at every breakfast! Washington House Inn was extremely clean and the staff were very helpful in whatever we needed. We would recommmend this bed and breakfast to anyone!

The W.H.I. has been my husband's and my retreat for 19 years now. Each time we come it's like the first time. The Inn is quaint with each room having it's own special uniqueness. The staff is so welcoming it feels like we're family. Breakfast is so good and fresh and even delivered to your room if you so choose! The Inn is in the middle of town where you can walk to so many interesting shops. There is an old movie theatre next door, a wonderful little bar down the block with excellent dinners, a nice park with a creek to sit by and just relax (maybe with a bottle of wine and cheese, etc)....what fun and romance can be had here!! Walk to the Cedarburg winery/shops. The Inn offers rooms with a fireplace, jacuzzis and even lofts (we like the room with the loft...where we have our breakfast)!! This is one, if not the best B&B we have stayed at. Give it a try and I'll bet you'll want to come back over and over again. It is like a little slice of heaven!!!

Its just a lovely place with such nice people, and Cedarburg is a wonderful old fashioned town, that you just wish you lived in.

We were pleased to take advantage of the special April room rate received via email, that got us $30 off of our room in the Schroeder Guest House. This is our 3rd stay at the Washington House Inn, and we will definitely be returning in the Fall. This time we stayed in room #3, Adeline Lehman. The room size was good, but having stayed previously in #4, Ida Kuether, I prefer #4. The door to the room in #3 is fairly close to the bed, and I think there is less privacy because of that. #4 was much more open and private. The over-sized hot tub fits two very nicely, and the bathroom was ample in size and spotlessly clean. The staff, as usual, was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. 5-6 is a free wine and appetizer hour, which we always take advantage of, and the breakfast is fantastic. Great, fresh, home-cooked meals, a variety of delicious baked goods, fresh juices, yogurts, etc. make it something we look forward to. I recommend this fine establishment whole-heartedly.

Very inviting lobby- loved the wine and cheese get together in the afternoon. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable about the surrounding area and very accommodating. The room was beautiful- loved the antiques, the fireplace was so inviting, as was the jacuzzi. Missed breakfast but was able to sample some of their breads- which were delicious. Fantastic night- would definitly return.

What a charming historic place to stay, conveniently located within walking distance to many interesting places. The staff exceeds expectations to take care of your wants and needs! Breakfasts are delicious, nutritious and offer something appealing to everyone. The wine and cheese hour is the "frosting on the cake" to a wonderful mini-vacation.

My wife and I had a great time at the Washington House Inn. We stayed in the King sweet which was fantastic. The place as an old style charm, but it is all very clean and nice. I wasn't too impressed with breakfast. It was good, but they do a buffet and it is not as good as some places where you get your own made to order meal.

We found the Washington House Inn to be very friendly and accomodating. We liked the steam bath in the shower, it was relaxing.

It's like going back in time, but still having all the amenities of today. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Rooms are each different and charming. Breakfasts are yummy with home baked good and lots of fresh fruit. I have been coming here for 20 years and always look forward to my next visit.

We have been guests at the Washington House Inn for over 20 years and each stay is more delightful than the last. Every room has its own unique personality. The entire Inn is small, the staff is personal and the entire stay is a little bit of heaven.

We were looking for a historic place to stay, so the inn was just our style. The wine and cheese bar was very nice and so was the morning breakfast offering.

Although we live within 5 miles, we wanted to try the WHI. What a treat for one day! The WHI was very comfortable and enjoyable with a friendly and helpful staff. Myriad dining opportunities; a beautifully restored movie theatre next door; a local winery to visit; exploring and shopping to your heart's content were just a few of the many attractions...and all within walking distance! Time well spent.

My husband and I visited the Washington House Inn for the weekend and we had a great time. The room was smaller than I expected, but it was very nice. The steam shower was wonderful, and the cleanliness of the inn was outstanding. The breakfasts were very nice - - more than I expected for a continental style breakfast, and the wine and cheese service in the afternoon was wonderful. We definitely plan on coming back to the Washington House Inn. There are some good restaurants and shops, and the town is very quaint and pretty. It snowed very heavily one of the days we were there, and it felt like we stepped into a Thomas Kinkaid painting. Just beautiful!

This was our second stay of two nights at the Washington Bed and Breakfast. We enjoyed both stays very much because the staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms are decorated very tastefully and comfortable. Some of the rooms are larger than others because in the hotel itself they are smaller and if you want to spend alot of time in them ask for a room in the ajoining building where the rooms are a bit larger. Downtown Cederberg is a historic city near Milwaukee.

I visited the B/B in Cedarburg Wi. and stayed at the Washington Inn, and I must say the service and the rooms exceeded my expectations. They had great customer service and the food was outstanding. They were very clean and the value was worh it. You can find some cheaper, but I would strongly recommend this one. They had several cable stations to choose from, unlike many hotel rooms. All in all excellent place to stay.

The atmosphere is so old fashion, we love it. The wine and cheese hour is relaxing and allows you to meet other guests. Unfortunately with the price increase this year we wont be able to come as often.

We've been visiting over the past 10+ years and have never been disappointed! We stayed for 2 nights on our last visit, and wanted to stay in the Deluxe King Suite. Since it was only available for our second night, we thought that we would just stay in a different room the first night. To our surprise (and delight!) the staff got us in the Deluxe King Suite for BOTH nights! We WILL be back!!!

Very nice room at Schroeder House, though a bit pricey for the little time we spent there. Excellent service, clean room and grounds, cozy wine hour and breakfast. Caution: Washington Street, right outside our window is very noisy on a Saturday night. Will return often: although in a cheaper room - WAY too much to do in Cedarburg than sit a room!

Very clean, quiet, comfortable and welcoming. The accomodations were excellent and so was the cocktail hour. Breakfast was great - something different every day!

We won a B&B package through our local PBS station in Chicago. The Washington Inn was one of the best we have stayed in. Loved it!

The Washington House has been our special get away for 15+ years. Sometimes alone, sometimes with couples (friends and family). But this is always an outstanding stay.

My coworder and I were in town for a trade show and heard few details about the Inn. It was wonderful! We loved the wine & cheese evening snacks and the breakfast in the beautiful dining room. I can't wait to bring my husband back!
