We have visited the Artesian House many times throughout the years. We walk through the doors, see Al's smiling face and the stresses of everyday life just melt away. Can't think of a better launching pad for exploring Lake Superior country. The setting is beautiful, accommodations inviting and the breakfasts satisfying. We look forward to returning again and again.

We so enjoyed our stay at Artisan House. Al is a warm and gracious host who went out of his way to accommodate us. Our room looked out at trees through large windows and had everything we needed. The food was fresh and delicious and the location was away from the business of the town but close enough to get anywhere in minutes. We loved it!

My husband and I had a very relaxing and pleasant experience at the Artesian House. Our room (the Green room) was beautiful and very serene. We enjoyed a tasty breakfast each morning and had great conversation. Al was very kind and offered lots of great advice on the local restaurants and things to do and see nearby. The Jacuzzi in our room came in very handy after a long day of hiking and biking around the beautiful Apostle Islands.
