The Inn at Birches Garden is a country bed and breakfast situated on a working Arabian horse farm between Greencastle and Mercersburg, PA. Located on a 50+ acre property in the beautiful Cumberland Valley 1 and 20 minutes north of Washington DC, 1 hour south of Harrisburg, PA and 3 hours west of Philadelphia, PA. The newly renovated 120 year old farm house has four bedrooms each with private baths. Enjoy a book in a hammock on the porch or in the poolside gazebo, swim in the outdoor pool, fish in the spring-fed bass pond, observe the grazing horses, walk the many nature trails, wade in the stream bordering the property, ski or golf at the local resorts and enjoy a full country breakfast served every morning. The Hollerstown Hill Bed & Breakfast is a wonderful example of late victorian architecture built in c.1900 by Sarah and Richard Dutrow, owners in the late 1800s of the Dutrow Confectionary. The bed & breakfast is graced with carved mantels, fireplaces, period antiques, reproductions, and collectibles. For example, Betty displays her large collection of dolls throughout the house. There is a game room in which you'll find a traditional billiards table plus nooks for board games, including a chess set with Civil War characters. This beautiful Victorian home, located along a tree-lined street of gracious homes in the north end of Chambersburg, was built in 1880 by John Watson Craig(1830-1908). Mr. Craig "...was an able and successful farmer, carrying on his occupation successively at Welsh Run, Shippensburg, Chambersburg and Mercersburg. He returned from Mercersburg to Chambersburg in 1882 and in partnership with Thomas M. Nelson, successfully carried on ... a large lumber business. In 1898 he retired from active business and quietly attended to the affairs of his large estate. In disposition he was generous and kind and his friends always found a warm welcome awaiting them under his kindly roof." Guests are welcomed to large, pleasant, air-conditioned bedrooms with views of Dogwood and Maple trees. The Mansions porches, patios, and lawn are available for your relaxation. The Mansion features three large common rooms with fireplaces and a dining room on the first floor. 19th century architecture and intricate wood carving is found throughout the Mansion, from the corner turret, to the elaborately designed and crafted foyer and open staircase leading to the third floor. The main guest rooms each have a four poster queen bed, private attached modern bath and ceiling fans. The atmosphere is informal and friendly. Breakfast is served in a common dining room that is adjacent to the kitchen area allowing guests and hosts to converse while breakfast is being prepared and served. There is a small private off street parking lot, many flower gardens and a nice front porch with a wisteria vine, rocking chairs and a great proch swing.

Breakfast is served at your convenience.
