Truly a Hidden Gem

4.8 on September 24, 2015

My wife and I recently stayed here for our wedding anniversary. We simply could not have been more pleased. We stay at B&B's several times a year all over the country, and this is honestly one of the best run places we've ever seen. To begin the grounds are set back in a very private, BEAUTIFUL garden. Our room had a spectacular view. Just wait until you feel (and smell) the towels! You can tell in an instant that the owners spared no expense on their linens and furnishings. I've never seen such cleanliness. My wife and I are clean freaks and this place puts us to shame. It's spotless. There are only three guest rooms here, so it's very private. In fact, there was another couple staying at the same time that we did, and we never laid eyes on them. The only way we knew was the extra car in the parking area. The private breakfasts really made us feel like we were there all by ourselves. Tammy is probably the hardest working woman we've met. We don't know how she does it, but she does it very well. I've never been so willing to type a review. This B&B and its management WILL exceed your expectations. Thank you so much for making our anniversary special!!!!

“Absolutely Gorgeous Setting for our Anniversary”

5 on August 19, 2015

Set in it's own floral wonderland, this is a delightful retreat. All around are amazing flowers, due to the fact that the owners - Tammy & Rich Briggs - are nursery owners. They are floral artists who have designed an amazing garden tour, replete with the sight / sound of water in motion. Rich built a multi-level pond with Koi and flowering lillies, where you can just park and drink in the color and the relaxing atmosphere. All the little touches from a card, to cookies, to peaches and wine made it a wonderful anniversary getaway. The room was a suite with a small kitchenette, outdoor patio, decked with floral arrangements. Our breakfasts were private, romantic and delivered to our door. You can trust that you'll get tremendous service here.

Relaxing, Lovely, Delicious, Romantic

5 on September 07, 2014

This place is awesome! A little slice of paradise tucked away in quiet farmland. As you enter through beautiful, colorful flowers you immediately relax as the flawless and exotic garden scents sweep you away. The owner Tammy puts so much care and thought into every facet of this lovely b&b. Her breakfast isn't just any old eggs and toast. One morning she made a wonderful breakfast casserole complete with sides of fruit, OJ, hot chocolate, etc and the next morning was a delicious creme brulee french toast with honey greek yogurt, etc. The best part? It's breakfast IN BED. She politely knocks on the door to alert you breakfast is ready at 8:30, leaves behind trays of steaming hot food, and allows you to mosey out and grab the goods at your leisure. The accommodations are spacious to say the least. My boyfriend and I stayed in one of the rooms upstairs. We had a private balcony, fireplace, small dining table and a comfortable, luxurious bed. I would definitely recommend this b&b! Especially for couples looking for a quiet, romantic retreat. :)

Like Nowhere Else

My husband and I came to Door County looking for a chance to unwind, relax, and reconnect. The Orchid Inn and the innkeepers provided just that. Situated in an idyllic show garden full of whimsical animal topiaries and petal-perfect flora, the Inn brought a sense of peace the moment we drove onto the property. The bedroom was beautifully decorated, with little touches that made us feel welcomed and comfortable throughout our stay. The innkeeper's care and genuinely lovely personality showed through in the uncountable little touches that let this B&B stand out from the crowd. Breakfast each morning was a romantic affair, with fresh flowers and delicious food. Coffees, wine, teas, soaps and lotions from local artisans greeted our arrival, and thoughtful little snacks and gifts found their way to our space daily, along with lovely hand-written notes. This inn made a perfect romantic getaway, but it would make an even better venue for a wedding, as part of the gardens, set up with arch and aisle, look like a picture come to life from a fairy tale wedding.

Another Great Time at The Orchid Inn

5 on July 14, 2014

My wife and I stayed at the Orchid Inn in June for our anniversary. This was our third visit to the Orchid Inn. Once again everything was great. The room was fantastic. It's very spacious, clean, and modern. We had our own personal deck which is a great addition if you like eating breakfast outside in the sun. Breakfast was fantastic as always. Trust me; Tammy will not let you go hungry. The grounds are just gorgeous with colorful flowers and plants everywhere. Every time my wife and I visit, we feel like we visiting out of town relatives. We will most certainly be back again in the future. If you're thinking of staying somewhere else, don't. You'll be missing out on a great getaway if you stay anywhere else in Door County.

A Perfect Getaway

We recently stayed at the Orchid Inn for a long weekend. Everything about our stay was perfect! This B & B has a great modern, welcoming style; it is beautifully designed and incredibly clean. The breakfasts were delicious and hearty. Tammy welcomed us into her B & B and provided us with anything we could possible want; we appreciated the small touches, like the basket of snacks, afternoon cookies, etc. Even though we visited before many of the flowers were blooming, the grounds were still well-kept and beautiful. If you want a tranquil, relaxing, and perfect place to stay, choose the Orchid Inn!

Perfect getaway!

Recently stayed and the Orchid Inn and were blown away by our experience. I cannot think of one thing that could have been better. The rooms are modern and welcoming (not victorian and cold). Tammy welcomed us and had every need or concern already prepared for! We felt like it was our own private retreat at a great value. The breakfast was huge and delicious! The grounds and gardens would be spectacular at most points of the year and really set this inn apart from others in Door County.

We stayed at the Orchid Inn March 23rd through the 26th. To say we were impressed would be an understatement. We were the only ones there so we were given a tour of all 3 rooms. They were all absolutely amazing. Being March it was not the optimal time to visit door county So we did spend a lot of time in our room and it was great. Very relaxing and comfortable. The food was beyond words - absolutely huge portions that is so good you almost have to make sure you eat it all! Tammy was also very helpful in giving advice on places to go and things to see while we were there. My wife and I have already told anyone thinking about going that way to make sure you check out the Orchid Inn.

Innkeeper Response

The Perfect Bed & Breakfast

4.6 on September 06, 2013

This is a beautiful bed and breakfast and we've been to a lot. Tammy and Richard are wonderful hosts and the accommodations are first rate. Easily the best bed and breakfast we've ever been to. The rooms are spotless, the breakfast is delicious and plentiful and the grounds are so peaceful. We didn't want to leave! We stayed in the Cattleya Suite which had not only a sitting area and kitchenette, but a separate, private sun room to eat breakfast along with a private deck. This is a great place to get away. We'll definitely be back!
