We recently stayed at the Orchid Inn for a long weekend. Everything about our stay was perfect! This B & B has a great modern, welcoming style; it is beautifully designed and incredibly clean. The breakfasts were delicious and hearty. Tammy welcomed us into her B & B and provided us with anything we could possible want; we appreciated the small touches, like the basket of snacks, afternoon cookies, etc. Even though we visited before many of the flowers were blooming, the grounds were still well-kept and beautiful. If you want a tranquil, relaxing, and perfect place to stay, choose the Orchid Inn!
We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. It was a pleasure having you and we are happy that you had a relaxing & tranquil time. Hope to see you again someday!

Recently stayed and the Orchid Inn and were blown away by our experience. I cannot think of one thing that could have been better. The rooms are modern and welcoming (not victorian and cold). Tammy welcomed us and had every need or concern already prepared for! We felt like it was our own private retreat at a great value. The breakfast was huge and delicious! The grounds and gardens would be spectacular at most points of the year and really set this inn apart from others in Door County.
So glad you enjoyed your stay with us and visiting Door County. It was a pleasure having you as our guests.

We stayed at the Orchid Inn March 23rd through the 26th. To say we were impressed would be an understatement. We were the only ones there so we were given a tour of all 3 rooms. They were all absolutely amazing. Being March it was not the optimal time to visit door county So we did spend a lot of time in our room and it was great. Very relaxing and comfortable. The food was beyond words - absolutely huge portions that is so good you almost have to make sure you eat it all! Tammy was also very helpful in giving advice on places to go and things to see while we were there. My wife and I have already told anyone thinking about going that way to make sure you check out the Orchid Inn.
It was a pleasure having the two of you as our guests at The Orchid Inn. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We hope to see you again in the future.

This was the best bed & breakfast we have ever been to! Tammy is a wonderful hostess, the rooms are HUGE, and the breakfast is fantastic. Highly recommend this to anyone going to Door County.
Thank you for the great compliments. I so appreciate the gratitude my guests show in regards to me, the inn and the grounds. Richard and I hope to see you again in the future.

This is a beautiful bed and breakfast and we've been to a lot. Tammy and Richard are wonderful hosts and the accommodations are first rate. Easily the best bed and breakfast we've ever been to. The rooms are spotless, the breakfast is delicious and plentiful and the grounds are so peaceful. We didn't want to leave! We stayed in the Cattleya Suite which had not only a sitting area and kitchenette, but a separate, private sun room to eat breakfast along with a private deck. This is a great place to get away. We'll definitely be back!

My husband and I have stayed in numerous bed and breakfasts before our stay at The Orchid Inn, and we both agree this is a well-kept secret. The Briggs do an outstanding job on making you feel like family by being great hosts in their own home. Tammy serves an excellent and large portioned breakfast in the morning with a special touch added to each meal. The gardens designed by Richard which surround the house are well maintained and unique with meandering trails thourghout the gardens and water features. The photographs do not do this bed and breakfast justice, and you need to see it for yourselves to understand the floral beauty which accompanies your stay.

We loved staying at the Orchid Inn – it is simply one of the most beautiful and peaceful settings, and the accommodations could not have been more comfortable. The hosts, Tammy and Richard Briggs have done a fabulous job of creating a little bit of heavy on Earth with their personal touch at every turn – both inside and outside. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the breakfast was top notch quality, and the landscape was breathtaking. Tammy and Richard exhibit the friendly and welcoming charm we have come to know in Wisconsin and we will definitely return. We highly recommend this lovely B&B to anyone.

My girlfriend and I visited Door County for the first time and decided to stay at this B&B. It exceed all of our expectations and was the primary reason our stay in Door County was memorable. Tammy does all the cooking and cleaning, and her husband is a landscaper. The breakfasts left us full and more than satisfied; the grounds were perfect for an afternoon stroll through the gardens. Each room has a private bathroom and outdoor seating/viewing area. Overall, I'd highly recommend this B&B.

We went to the Orchid Inn based on a recommendation of our daughter, who stayed there for their first anniversary. She thought we would love it, and boy, was she right! Beautiful decor and gardens, excellent food and service! Tammy and Richard were the perfect hosts. A great place to rest and relax, as well as enjoy all that Door County has to offer!

My husband & I just spent the weekend at the Orchid Inn. What a wonderful experience! Tammy is a gracious hostess & attention is paid to every detail. The rooms were warm, clean, inviting, and updated (no flowery wallpaper). The beds were comfortable. We had fresh flowers, a complimentary goodies basket, and a large scrumptious breakfast served to our room each morning. We are looking forward to visiting again in the warmer months to enjoy the gardens as well. What a gem!

The Orchid is fantastic. The location is convenient to Sturgeon Bay, so getting around isn't a problem, as long as you have a car. Tammy is a great cook. If she didn't run a B&B, she could always open a restaurant and be successful. The building is of recent construction, and is flawlessly clean. Rooms are tasteful and homey, with no regrettable wallpaper or corny art. Marley, the house dog, is completely relaxed and well-behaved. We never heard her bark. Best of all, breakfast is brought to your room, so there's no need to make awkward small talk with strangers around the table if you don't want to. Of course, there is always the common room if you feel like meeting new people. The breakfast is enough for a grownup appetite, and is presented with detail. Tammy doesn't miss a thing. I'd definitely recommend The Orchid to a friend and would stay there again.

My husband and I stayed with Tammy and Richard the weekend of Oct 13th and 14th. I called around to many B&B's without much luck. This was to be our 10th anniversary celebration. We were in luck and were able to get reservations at the last minute on Friday evening. When Tammy asked if there was a special occasion, I mentioned our anniversary. When we arrived, Tammy showed us to our room and welcomed us with open arms. She said not to look in the refrigerator then but she had left us a little surprise. To our amazement, she had put a red velvet piece of cake in there for us with "Happy Anniversary." Despite the wet rainy weather, our stay at their Inn was fabulous. The room was cozy, quiet, inviting and exuded the same warmth that the owners do. Tammy goes well out of her way in decorating the home and providing outstanding breakfasts. On Sunday, she said she was going to try a new recipe and we should let her know how it was. She said she was nervous as this was the first time she was making it. OH MY GOSH!!! The Creme Brulee French Toast was nothing short of extraordinaire! Mouth watering is beyond description. We didn't want to leave! Next time we hope to get a good look at the grounds and explore more. We definitely will be back and will let others know of our experience.

My fiance and I just had our wedding at the Orchid Inn Wedding Garden. It was gorgeous. The attention to detail that Tammy and Richard put into their landscaping is breath taking. On our wedding day Tammy and Richard assisted us which helped the flow of the wedding go very smoothly. After the wedding we stayed at the Orchid Inn for our honeymoon. It was the perfect romantic and relaxing place to have a honeymoon. The rooms are incredible, the decorations and comfort is second to none. We spent so much time just talking and relaxing in our room, it was great. The breakfast was some of the best food we have ever had in our lives. Tammy and Richard were so great to us, we do not have enough good things to say about them. We will be returning in the future.

My husband and I just had a wonderful experience staying at the Orchid Inn. We stayed in the Lady Slipper Room and enjoyed the relaxation the setting gave us. Wonderful breakfest each morning, beautiful gardens and helpful information provided by Tammy, the Inn Keeper. We Highly recommend staying at the Orchid Inn!

We were not sure what to expect when we turned into the drive to the inn as it passes through the adjacent nursery lot. The inn and grounds are beautiful. The attention to detail showed in the gardens, rooms and treats provided daily. Breakfast was generous, delicious and private. Our hosts were friendly and helpful.

I thoroughly enjoyed my one night stay while I was visiting family in the area and wanted a mini-respite. Very beautiful grounds even before all the trees were in bloom. The inn itself is decorated very tastefully and I felt thoroughly pampered. I will want to return soon with my husband!

This was the first Bed and Breakfast I have ever been to and can't imagine another bed and breakfast being better than this:) The moment we walked in the door we felt at home. We were celebrating our anniversary as well as my birthday and were surprised by a bouquet of beautiful flowers, and birthday cake in our room! The cleanliness of the room was outstanding, the breakfast and snacks were amazing, and the owners were just the sweetest people. I really can't say enough good things about this place. I can't wait to go back! Don't look any further, stay here, you will love it!! Thanks again Tammy and Richard:)

Tammy and Richard have done an outstanding job creating this beautiful and welcoming B&B. My husband and I stayed at The Orchid Inn to celebrate our anniversary, and we were impressed every step of the way. The grounds are landscaped with wonderful gardens that offer such tranquility. The house is warm and inviting and immaculate! Tammy's attention to detail really makes you feel special. We loved the full breakfast delivered right outside our door every morning...delicious and picture perfect! All of our needs were met and our expectations exceeded...beautiful, comfortable, romantic, and serene. An absolute treasure that we look forward to visiting again and again!

On Oct 8th, we had a wedding scheduled at the Orchid Inn. our wedding turned out better than we could have ever imagined. This time of year, the weather can be hit or miss but it was a georgeous 75 deg and sunny. and that was just the start. Tammy and Richard have this place looking incredible. the wedding garden is breathtaking and they cater to you every way possible. The breakfast was more than wonderful and delivered to your room at 8:30. Words cannot express the quality of this B&B. We will be coming back for years to come. Thank you Tammy and Richard!

We've stayed at a lot of B&Bs and The Orchid Inn has been our favorite, by far! The hosts are so personable and make you feel at home from the moment you arrive until your departure. We loved our tastefully decorated suite, the peaceful gardens, and the wonderful breakfasts. It was nice to see suites that weren't overdone in the flowery, Victorian style, but modern and subtle. The inn is about 1.5 miles out of town, which is why we chose it, so you can really relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. The trip back to the shops was quick and easy, which we took advantage of. There was nothing that we didn't like about it!

My husband and I stayed with Tammy and Richard in August 2011. We felt as if we had landed in the lap of luxury - the bed linens, the breakfasts, the balcony, the gardens - everything was top notch. Tammy helped make our vacation very special. We enjoyed having breakfasts on our balcony. (We also read and fell asleep on the balcony!) We would highly recommend this inn.

My wife & I recently stayed here. Not only were the rooms super clean and well decorated, the complete surroundings were beautiful. Tammy goes the extra mile with her fantastic breakfast & hospitality. Both Tammy & Rich make you feel very welcome. I told her that her recipes could put many resturant chains out of bussiness. We would highly recommend anyone to stay here as it doesn't get any better then this. Thanks for the great visit.

We received a gift for the stay at the Orchid Inn based on our love of gardening and landscape design. What an amazing and perfect gift it was!! The grounds are incredible, filled with wonderful pathways and interesting plant material. The house and each suite are also immaculately decorated with attention to comfort and with details that are unique and a joy to view. The breakfasts were wonderful and having them brought to the room to enjoy is almost decadent! We loved everything and highly recommend a visit. We will definitely make the Orchid Inn our place to stay in Door County.

We were looking for a B & B that would be quiet and charming - what we found at the Orchard Inn was beyond our expectations of being truly serene and wonderful. Everything is thought of in order to make you feel at home. It is immaculate and all of the furnishings, including the mattress, are the best. The breakfast was the best we had in Door County. My husband and I are telling our friends about the Orchid Inn and plan to keep going back.

My wife and I visited the Orchid Inn for our second in 2 years. We stayed there from April 15-17. Once again Tammy and Richard did not disappoint. The room was just as fabulous as last time. It’s great how clean, comfortable, and modern it was. Breakfast was also wonderful; you definitely will not go hungry. It is very refreshing to see how much Tammy and Richard care about their guests really enjoying their stay. Both of them truly understand what it means to provide exceptional customer service.

My husband and I visited Door County after a conference in Green Bay. The Orchid Inn was one of two B & Bs that we stayed at. The first one was bad, so my expectations were low when I arrived. I am happy to say that I couldn't have been more pleased at a five star resort. This place is amazing, and every little detail is attended too. The Orchid Inn is the cleanest place I have ever stayed. I am a clean freak, and I felt comfortable immediately. The room we chose was spacious and inviting. It had a very comfortable bed and a warm fireplace that divided the sleeping area from the sitting area. When we arrived, we were welcomed with a fresh arrangement of beautiful flowers, a bottle of wine, and a cheese, fruit, and meat tray. It was the perfect way to start off our weekend. We had a deck right off of our room that was private and surrounded by hugh maple trees that no doubt in the fall are gorgeous. The gardens surrounding the home are amazing. The B & B is located on the grounds of a nursery. The gardens are plentiful and a work in progress. I say gardens because there are more than one on the property. Although it was cold when we were there, it did not keep us from roaming the gardens. It was a peaceful and serene experience. The breakfast in the morning delivered to our room was delicious. It was hearty, well made, and the right temperature. The orange juice was cold, and the stuffed french toast was hot. Tammy our hostess, who is clearly a native to Wisconsin, is an inviting friendly person. Our stay couldn't have been better. I spent 8 months looking for the perfect place to stay, and I am happy to say that I found it.

We decided to go to Door County for our 40th Anniversary. Searched for a nice bed and breakfast, and found this lovely inn. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome, Tammy & Richard were wonderful hosts. Everything was perfect! The gardens are absolutely wonderful. It was so nice to have breakfast served in our room, and the food was absolutely fantastic. What a wonderful getaway we had. We definitely will go back again.

What beautiful, serene surroundings to reconnect in. My husband and I were so impressed by the warm welcome from Tammy and Richard. They have created the most magnificent place. We will for sure be back again and again. The wonderful extra touches that Tammy includes in addition to her delicious breakfasts which are served right in your room is something we have never experienced before. The grounds are landscaped so perfectly and the private decks off each room lend to the ambience of this beautiful place. The rooms are exquisite. We highly recommend The Orchid Inn as the place to stay in Door County.

My wife and I stayed at the Orchid Inn while we were visiting Door County in May. The Orchid Inn is the most splendid place at which we have ever stayed. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. Tammy served us breakfast in our room, and it was perhaps the best breakfast we have ever had (Texas Stuffed French Toast). The Orchid Inn is located in the midst of the Briggsville Gardens, which made for a peaceful, serene and beautiful backdrop to our vacation. Tammy and Richard are attentive and gracious hosts. The Orchid Inn is on our list of places to which we will return.

My husband and I have made the trek to Door County for the last 11 years, and we have constantly tried different B&Bs, we have finally found our permanent home at The Orchid Inn. There are wonderful small touches which add to the ambience of the experience such as a snack waiting when you arrive, a gift basket, and a beautiful bouqet of fresh cut seasonal flowers. The rooms are immaculate, and cozy. The innkeepers are warm and friendly, yet not overbearing. We will go back next year.

My husband and I stayed at The Orchid Inn for the last few days of our honeymoon. What a perfect place for a perfect ending to our wonderful honeymoon. The Orchid Inn exceeded any and all of our expectations. We had stayed at three other places on our trip prior to Door County, and none of them compare to the Orchid Inn. Firstly, Tammy was a gracious and warm hostess. She was always tending to our needs and asking if there was anything else she could do for us. The special little touches throughout the day, like the snack she would leave for us when we returned to our room and the flowers and wine she gave us when we first arrived. Our room was beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed, which is so hard to find when travelling. The breakfasts were scrumptious and delicious. And what made them even better, they were brought to our room by Tammy herself. It was wonderful to be able to eat breakfast in the privacy of our room and not have to worry about dressing to go to a general dining area like other B&B's have. The setting of the Orchid Inn is absolutely gorgeous, tranquil and peaceful. It's nice to be out in the country away from the traffic and noise. Even the towels were great. They were so soft and thick! My husband and I can't say enough wonderful things about The Orchid Inn and Tammy and Richard Briggs! They have raised the bar for hospitality! We will return and tell all our friends about this magnificent retreat. Thank you Tammy and Richard for everything!

Tammy and Richard have a beautiful setting for a great B&B. We really enjoyed our stay because of the beautiful grounds, cleanliness of the rooms, wonderful breakfasts and "special" touches. It all started with a warm welcome from Tammy when we arrived late our first evening. We were greeted with a beautiful, clean suite with a gift basket filled with goodies, crackers, cheese, fruit and wine, fresh flowers and the most comfortable bed and linens. It was so relaxing to wake up to such beautiful scenery from our bed and delicious breakfasts delivered to our bedroom door. Our suite had a beautiful sun porch and deck attached where we enjoyed our breakfast every morning. Tammy has thought of everything to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. She goes "above and beyond" with the little extras like the treats in the afternoon when we returned to our room after a full day. Wish we could have stayed longer. It was our first trip to Door County and a B&B. We were not disappointed. I would highly recommend this "retreat" to everyone.

A taste of heaven! Nestled on the beautiful grounds of the Briggs Nursery, Inn Keepers Tammy and Richard Briggs are very gracious hosts! While the Inn itself is extremely welcoming and comfy - the private guest accommodations and breakfasts are 5 Star all the way. From the luxurious bedding and robes, to fresh cut flowers and treats. This place is top notch and a must stay in Door County.

Tammy and Richard are wonderful hosts! The combination of a nursery and a B&B hit on all cylinders for us. What an amazing setting - suites were amazing (loved our private deck in the tree-top), food was wonderful with surprizes throughout the day...our dilemma was - do we tour around beautiful door county or do we stay in our room! You won't be disappointed.

We can't say enough about our stay with you and your family. You made us feel as if we were part of it. Your home and gardens are beautiful. My husband and I would like to thank you and Rich for the wonderful relaxing accomodations. wwe have given out your brochures in hopes that they will also enjoy your B&B. We have plans to return in the future. Thanks for everything Tom and Faye

We had the pleasure of staying in the Phalaenopsis Suite at the Orchid Inn, which is located on a hill surrounded by incredibly beautiful landscaping. Our host went above and beyond to ensure a pleasurable stay. The room was elegant with a beautiful patio which had a wonderful view. Our bed was lavish and comfortable with incredibly soft blankets. The breakfast was delivered to our room, allowing us the privacy and comfort of eachother as we enjoyed our scrumptious breakfast. Upon viewing all the rooms, this bed and breakfast will be sure to be an experience to remember for anyone who has the pleasure of staying there.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at The Orchid Inn on July 15 -18. The owners, Tammy and Richard, have done a fabulous job in creating a modern and updated bed and breakfast. We stayed in the Phalaenopsis Suite which was clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. Tammy had thought of everything to make our stay easier, we had everything from extra towels to bottled water available to us at all times. Even though we didn’t use them very much, it was wonderful having a new flat screen tv, digital satellite cable, and wireless internet access available. We also had our own personal deck which allowed us to enjoy the sun during the day as well as relax and enjoy the stars at night. Tammy’s hospitality is second to none. She was extremely friendly throughout our entire stay and always asked if there was anything else we needed. She ensured that breakfast was delivered to our room at exactly 9:30 and was absolutely delicious. Her cream cheese and strawberry stuffed French toast is to die for. She was also very accommodating to our dietary restrictions, which was very much appreciated. I wish nothing but the best for both Tammy and Richard and I hope The Orchid Inn is a smashing success for years to come. I have no doubt that both my wife and I will be returning to enjoy the accommodations for future getaways.
