This year marks our nineteenth season! We thank all our wonderful guests and always look forward to seeing our regulars again and again. They are like family. Please join us. We are uniquely special. Our location is country secluded, but we’re only minutes away from American Players Theatre, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesen, The House on The Rock, beautiful Governor Dodge State Park, Wisconsin River canoeing, golfing, shopping and other unique attractions in nearby Dodgeville, Mineral Point, Mt. Horeb and Mazomanie. The inn was specifically designed to be a B&B log lodge inn that would be comfortable and appealing for both men and women for all seasons. Finely tuned casual comfort is a good way to describe it. The inn exhibits a vast collection of original contemporary art works. Although the focus is on photography the collection also includes sculpture, paintings and mixed media works. Rooms are kept simple to showcase the art and room design and there is ample space for guest's personal belongings. The furnishings throughout the inn are attractive and very comfortable. Relaxation is our greatest amenity. It’s automatic upon arrival. There are several appealing locations designed specifically to sit back and unwind; your comfy private room and bath, the sitting lounge, the front porch, side deck, the garden area or up on the bluff. We offer beverages and snacks and you are more than welcome to bring your favorites. And of course, breakfast is always a very special experience. During the summer we are host residence to dozens of hummingbirds. They are absolutely delightful to watch throughout the day. Feel free to contact us if you have any inquiries about our inn, the area or your stay with us.

A wonderful bed & breakfast off the beaten track and full of country charm. The facility was rustic but not run-down. The room was comfortable and clean with a spacious private bath. The property was secluded, quiet, and beautiful. Full of flowers and surrounded by trees. We enjoyed watching humming birds, rabbits, and deer. And the breakfast was the icing on the cake. A skillfully prepared and presented delicious breakfast. We'd go out of our way to spend another night there!

We loved the Silver Star. My husband and I went to Spring Green for our anniversary and since it was the off season we were the only guests. We were delighted with the rooms, service and the breakfast we were served was outstanding. We will be staying there again and it is worth the drive.

A delightful 3 days. The hostess spends time visiting with all the guests each morning after and during breakfast. The food is delicious - plated and served most attractively. The decor is charming.

We stayed at the Silver Star Inn to get away for a girls weekend! What a fabulous weekend we had. We had alot of piece and quiet and some great getting caught up time with my college pals. Great Place! Nicely decorated and very comfortable. The breakfast is soooo good. Not just plain eggs, she serviced organge french toast that was to die for! The only thing I would change is if they would open for dinner. It would be nice to have a quiet dinner and Jean, the innkeeper, is such a great and creative cook I am sure it would be wonderful. Definately would stay again. Gayle Rendina

Just spent three nights at the Silver Star with two girlfriends. This was our second visit and we enjoyed even more than the first time. The inn is in a beautiful country setting. So peaceful. The rooms are charming and extremely clean. Delightful!

We had breakfast on the porch with humming birds at their feeders. The charming inn had a beautiful quilt and country furnishings. The secluded setting felt like my childhood summers in the country.

Beautiful home set in the country, room was cool and quiet, but my husband and I especially enjoyed our fabulous breakfast on the front porch amidst the hummingbirds. The food was delicious and pretty enough to photograph!
