The Arbor Inn

This was our second stay at the inn and it was just as wonderful as it was 3 yrs ago when we stayed. John and Deb are wonderful host and make you feel right at home. The breakfasts are out of this world and I even picked up one of Deb's recipe packs so I can try making them at home. It is only 30 mins from the Mall of America which is great.

The vibe at this B&B is laid back and hospitable. The owners are relaxed yet have anticipated almost any need you're likely to have. From the welcome cake to the morning feast the food was amazing. It's located a 5-minute walk from downtown Prescott, which is really nice because then you don't have to drive. There's a great fire ring in the backyard too!

We had a lovely overnight stay in the Garden Room. It is a quaint little room, but met our expectations- nicely decorated, cozy, clean. The breakfast was well made, however our disappointment with it were two things. One, every item except for the bacon was sweet. And two every item except for the bacon had almond flavoring. I am OK with almond, but I don't love it. If someone really did not like it they would have been very disappointed. So, the bottom line is the meal was good in the sense of the recipes, it was just too overwhelming to continue each course with the level of sweet and almond theme. Would we come back, sure. The homeowners were very pleasent and kind. The home is a home I would love to live in. I would just hope for a different breakfast. We also had dinner that night at Muddy Water's, within walking distance of the B&B, and we both really enjoyed our meals! I had delicious bacon wrapped scallops, perfectly cooked, and my husband devoured a 22oz. ribeye. Would definitely recommend them! We end our little weekend away on the Sunday brunch cruise that departs out of Hudson, WI. That was a great meal as well and it was lovely to travel the river.

I loved this place and I loved John and Deb! They have thought of everything (and I do mean everything). Of all the B&B's I have visited in my adult life, this is by far my favorite. The rooms, the food, the friendly attitude, the house itself, the ivy covered side porch, the hot tubs, the music, the sponge cake, the hysterical stories - it all adds up to a 5 star stay!! I'll be back.

My wife and I spent two weekday nights at The Arbor Inn this August. What a wonderful home! It was exactly what we hoped for when we booked a room in the small(ish) town of Prescott - something that was convenient, friendly, and quiet! John and Deb were fantastic hosts open to conversation - or to leave us be. The modified bedrooms were smaller than others we have stayed in before, but there was plenty of space regardless. Our four-course breakfast was amazing, especially with the hot scone and cocoa wake-up call in the morning! The common room boasts soft acoustic music and warm scented candles - I just wish we could have spent MORE time there than out and about.

We were warmly welcomed although we were about 6 hours late. The room was fantastic, the breakfast was great, and the ambience was very nice.

One night at the Arbor Inn is not enough time to enjoy the warmth, coziness, delicious food and hospitality of John and Deb. There is a lot of attention to detail in the food they serve, the extra amenities in the rooms, shared space, and the atmosphere that John and Deb have created. We loved it!

Prescott is a wonderful little river town. We parked our boat at the St. Croix Marina. The owners of the Arbor Inn were wonderful and friendly. I recommend this little get away to anyone!

This place is perfect. We have absolutely no complaints at all about the Arbor Inn. John & Deb are the nicest hosts. We felt completely relaxed the entire time. Breakfast was phenominal. TIP: get the 8am wake up call appetizer. It was delicious. We went to the off broadway dinner theater that is shown on their website as things to do. It was ok, but not worth the money. When we come again we will check in as early as possible and just use the time to relax at the Inn. Definitely, completely, 100% recommend this place to any couple.

This was the first time we stayed at a B&B. We were pleasantly surprised by the experience. Deb and John made us feel welcome, the room was comfortable, the tub was so deep I could float in it, the food was fabulous (4 course breakfast). A great experience!

We stayed at the Arbor Inn B&B last weekend and loved every aspect of our stay! We were very warmly welcomed to the Inn, had a very relaxing massage, were given a fantastic recommendation for dinner, enjoyed some time in the hot tub and had a wonderful breakfast! The owners, John and Deb, are so friendly and hospitible - they make sure that every part of your stay is relaxing and enjoyable! I would recommend this B&B to anyone and can't wait to return!

I unfortunately came down with pneumonia a few days before my stay at The Arbor Inn. My wife and I decided to go anyways, and I can't think of a better place to convalesce. Although it would have been very fun to be healthy when there, I felt so taken care of. The room was very comfortable, and the food was amazing. I would recommend The Arbor Inn to anyone.

Great Food, the Bed Rocked, the hot tub was very nice, the hosts were very attentive if u needed them but were invisable if u didn't. Prescott's small town WI , but if you use the Arbor for a base of operations for other travels near by your good to go.

We have stayed at many B&B, but our time at the Arbor Inn tops them all. It isn't because the Arbor Inn is the biggest mansion or most expensive decor...it is very inviting, warm and personable. John and Deb are wonderful hosts and terrific cooks! Time spent around the campfire felt like time with long-lost friends. Would recommend it to everyone, but especially someone who has never experienced a B&B.

This is the first time we have stayed at a B&B, and it was wonderful! Lots of quiet spots to relax, including screened porches and outdoor seating. Yummy snacks to munch on too. The four course breakfast was definitely 5 star! John and Deb were friendly and helpful with suggestions for dinner dining. The location in Prescott offered easy walking to stores, restaurants and the lovely beach and marina. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone who is looking for a relaxing weekend!

The owners made you feel like family. The food was excellent. Great rooms that are comfortable and warm.

Considerate and congenial service, absolutely delightful breakfast, quiet and comfortable, very accommodating. I thought it a little overpriced. If money is no object, I highly recommend it. Loved the individual breakfast porches as opposed to group-at-the-table breakfasts some B&Bs offer which can be socially challenging. Although the Arbor Inn offers a romantic retreat, it's a refreshing antidote to a hotel, too.

My wife and I stayed for the second time at the Arbor Inn and we continue to love the unique rooms and exceptional hosts. The Arbor Inn is perfect for a romantic getaway, and the hosts know just how to make it perfect. The wake-up goody basket is a nice touch, as is the option to eat in your room. I would highly recommend the Arbor Inn to anyone seeking top flight accommodations and an atmosphere for romance.

John and Deb were very kind and friendly and made our stay very relaxing. Very rare for us to have time without the kids and they made it special.

We came back here to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. We have been here several times and love this inn and the innkeepers. They have installed a new outdoor hot tub since the last time we were here and it is AWESOME!! The food was yummmmy too, as always!

The breakfast was delicious, hosts were very friendly and accomodating, and they even offer in-house massage! Was a great stay and would recommend to anyone.

We stayed at the Arbor Inn just for a quick getaway in March. Although there was not much going on in the town at this time, the Arbor Inn was fantastic! The room was beautiful and clean, and the hot tub under the stars was perfect for a cold night. John and Deb were so friendly and inviting, running a bed and breakfast is obviously their perfect career. We can't wait to come back in the summer!

Arbor Inn was spectacular in every way! This was our first B&B experience and I doubt it could ever be topped! The room itself was cozy, as was the rest of the building. The jacuzzi was perfect, and cuddling next the the fireplace was extra romantic. The extra touches they are willing to make are exceptional. The food was also exquisite and filling; the best "egg bake" I have ever tasted as the main course (of 4 courses). It was great to have breakfast in bed. We will certainly be going back again!

We stayed two nights at the Arbor Inn and we were thrilled by the service. John and Deb are wonderful hosts and I felt at ease the whole time. They offer great spa services and conversation. We had dinner at the Muddy Waters in downtown Prescott and I highly reccomend you have at least one dinner there. Try the Spotted Cow for an awsome local beer. The breakfasts at the Inn are wonderful and all homemade. No day is the same and they can accomadate any dietary needs. Thanks guy for a great weekend away!

John and Deb have the nicest B&B ever. We actually live only 30 miles away and still continue to enjoy this wonderful place. Our recent stay we hauled our snowmobiles over to Prescott and snowmobiled all day then went to the B&B and enjoyed Wine by our own private fireplce. I highly recommend this B&B.

We had the silhouette room, which was amazing. We also did the romance package with a couples hour massage. The onwers were very sweet and friendly. I can not wait to return on our anniversary.

It just doesn't get anymore inviting than John and Deb at The Arbor Inn. A fun and relaxing atmosphere makes it feel like home. Getting away here is better than you can experience anywhere else. If you want your privacy you have it or if you want great people to talk to and genuinely be interested, this is the place. We had a wonderful time staying at the Arbor Inn. It was a great place to relax while we skied at Afton Alps which was just a short drive away. The highlights were the comfortable and cozy rooms, unbelievable breakfasts and wonderful owners. We stayed during the week so we had the added bonus of having the whole place to ourselves. A wonderful winter getaway!

I stayed here because my boyfriend and I were going to Afton Alps to ski. The Arbor Inn was the perfect place to stay. The innkeepers were so nice, and the service was awesome. I would recommend the Arbor Inn to everyone.

An absolutely WONDERFUL place to relax and recharge your inner spirit. Breakfast was fabulous, and we were charmed by our time with the owners. We have stayed at the arbor inn several times and are always happy to go back.

We had such a great time enjoying ourselves. We stayed in the Longworth Room and are not afraid to say we had the Hanky Panky Package! Well worth the money to get away and spend time with the one you love. We will do this annually!!!

This is the second time we have stayed with Jon & Deb at the Arbor Inn. We stayed in the Longworth room and it was the perfect getaway. My husband had to work late both times so we arrived a bit later than what was normal but both times we were met with welcoming smiles. The innkeepers are know Prescott very well and were able to help us find some extras we needed (champagne and dinner to eat in the room) but also were able to direct us to places that had the best value for what we were looking for. We've stayed at quite a few B&Bs and this is the only one that we've stayed at that does a wake up tray. The wake-up tray is definitely a highlight and a treat. We were also impressed at all the little things the innkeepers thought of. Dessert & snack foods out all night. But it really is the atmosphere that will bring us back again and again. It is very hard to be stressed anywhere at The Arbor Inn.

John and Deb have managed to create an oasis of serenity and comfort with a friendly atmosphere.

We enjoyed a cozy room with a wonderful, "deep" whirlpool tub! The food was outstanding and the innkeepers very friendly and accomodating.

John and Deb were eager to please and are wonderful hosts! They truly value their guests' comfort and satisfaction. The breakfast was excellent!

We arrived at Arbor Inn and during our tour were instructed to help ourselves to the yummy cake and hot drinks, popcorn and hundreds of movies, games - enough to keep us more than busy during our one night stay. After settling in, I received a massage from Deb, which instantly helped me relax the remainder of the stay (and she can GIVE a therapeutic massage - it was the first night in a week I didn't go to bed with a headache!). Everything was wonderful...from the double whirlpool tub to our 4-course breakfast in bed...we definitely plan to go back.

The Arbor Inn was an absolutely perfect way to spend our honeymoon. We were able to relax, connect with one another and just enjoy being married! John and Deb are great, wonderful hospitality and very gracious people. We really appreciated the attention to detail they have, doing everything they could to make the stay the best it could be. We can got say enough just how wonderful and relaxing our weekend was. John and Deb had fabulous suggestions for things to do and dining. Not that you have room for more food after the out of this world food here. We are so excited to plan our next trip to this little piece of heaven.

Hosts were very kind, friendly and helpful. The B&B was nicely decorated. The room we stayed in was right next to the front door and living room so it was a little noisy during the day and the first part of evening. Overall, the B&B was a great experience for us.

Our stay in the Longworth room was exactly what we needed. We left feeling very relaxed and rejuvenated. We are looking forward to returning as soon as we can.Our biggest problem is deciding on which room to try next for they all were very inviting. Deb and John were the best hosts you could ever ask for. Very helpful in so many ways, The food was exceptional. I would recommend indulging in a massage or having a reflexology session it was awesome.

Few lodging choices in Prescott -- this is a nice alternative to a motel.

We booked the entire Arbor Inn for a long weekend as a wedding hub. John and Deb were absolutely fantastic - they helped us orchestrate a huge barbeque, served delicious breakfast treats, and basically treated everyone like royalty. John and Deb are phenomenal innkeepers who go above and beyond. The Inn is spotless and charming. Definitely book the room with the private outdoor hot tub!

My husband and I chose this as a close day trip away from our busy lives in the Twin Cities area to spend an overnight for our 1st Wedding Anniversary. We loved it. Deb and John were super friendly and welcoming... and next year we'll stay two nights to take advantage of the lovely amenities at the Inn.

We arrived at the Inn with the rain and were warmly greeted by John and Deb. They are wonderful hosts! We stayed in the Silhouette room with the wonderful new hot tub located on the private patio just out the door. We really enjoyed relaxing in the tub that night with the stars shining overhead and we used it again in the morning trying out the different jets. Being the first to arrive at the inn, we took the opportunity to see all the rooms. They were all lovely and plan on trying one of them in the future. We did take the time to sit in the covered side porch listening to the rain. It also has a wonderful view of the garden. We ate at the Muddy Waters restaurant, which was good, but took too long to be seated and served. Next time, we will bring a light supper and enjoy our evening resting more at the inn! The morning wake up tray was great followed by a delicious breakfast on the front porch. Thanks J & D for a fabulous experience!

We had a great time. John and Deb were so warm and friendly. The food was delicious. We enjoyed carrot cake and coffee on the screened porch in the evening and, also, a fabulous breakfast, overlooking a beautiful garden, there in the morning. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

My husband and I recently spent a relaxing evening at John and Deb's Arbor Inn Bed and Breakfast in Prescott, WI. We felt very welcomed in their beautiful home, but were also given all the privacy we wanted. The cozy deck off our room was wonderful in the moonlight, and the next morning we enjoyed a fabulous 4 course breakfast out there too. They were kind enough to mail back my earrings that I had left behind before I even had a chance to call them! Just another example of the kind of service they offer their guests. We stayed at the Arbor Inn on our way from Seattle via Minneapolis to Wisconsin for a family vacation - this was our night to enjoy before visiting family for two weeks - quiet, relaxing, cozy comfy room, great garden, incredible gourmet 4 course breakfast starting with tea, coffee, homemade treat with the a.m. wake up call. Great books to enjoy in the common room, jacuzzi - owners you enjoy talking to - chance to meet other guests over wonderful made from scratch food - what more could one want? Sue & Jim

We had a perfect Friday night get-away at the Arbor Inn. We stayed in the Silhouette room which had an attached patio with a private hot tub. The evening was drizzly and cold but we were toasty relaxing while listening to the raindrops fall. The fresh scone & morning coffee delivered to our room was a great touch. The breakfast was unbelievable in presentation and taste. Definitely a wonderful place to stay!

My first experience at a bed and breakfast, this is going to be difficult to beat. The room was beautiful, the view from the room was awesome. The owners were warm and inviting but not invading of our privacy. The service was great and the breakfast was the best I have ever had at home or a restaurant.

John & Deb's Arbor Inn feels like home away from home. This was our first stay in a B&B and wasn't sure what to expect. Not only was our room cozy and invitiing, but the common space with a roaring fire and relaxed chit-chat made us all feel like old friends! We indulged ourselves with the couples massage and stuffed ourselves with the amazing 4 course breakfast. We highly recommend a stay at the Arbor Inn and will be booking our next visit soon.

We stayed at The Arbor Inn for our Anniversary, and I will admit that I was a little bit skeptical. I've never been too big on the whole idea of a bed and breakfast, but we got a great deal so we decided to give it a try. What a great place! John and Deb where kind and gracious, and the treats that they had when we checked in where delicious. We loved our room! We stayed in the Longworth room, and it was spacious, comfortable, clean, and most importantly, relaxing. Breakfast was delicious! We may have to make a tradition here.

My wife and I first came to The Arbor Inn in July of 2008 for our honeymoon. We stayed for three nights and it was amazing. The food, the inn, and of course John and Deb exceeded all expectations. We knew we would be back. Since then we have been back six times. Every time we have been back John and Deb go above and beyond what we expect. We will be back again and again. We have stayed in every rooom but the Hideaway Room. They are all amazing rooms but our favorite is the Longworth Room. The Longworth Room is perfect for any season and is spacious for an extended stay. We will be staying in the Hideaway Room this May for three nights for our second anniversary. We love The Arbor Inn and John and Deb.

we stayed 1 night in the silohette room - i choose that room because it has it's own private hot tub out on the deck - and it was excellent. from the time you walk in you feel at home - john and deb are terrific and make you feel very welcome. my wife and i sat in front of the fire playing yahtzee and drinking tea - very relaxing - with some nice easy listening music from an x-m radio softly playing in the background. later we retired to our room, which was very cozy, and settled in before enjoying the hot tub - very nice! in the morning we were served coffee and hot cocoa as an appetizer before being served an incredibly delicous 3 course breakfast. what a great stay we had - a very nice relaxing getaway - even though we only live about 20 minutes away - it was like being a world away! thanks john and deb - we will be back! We had a great time at the Arbor Inn. We stayed in the Longworth room. The jacuzzi was big enough for both of us and my husband is over 6 foot. The view was great and would be spectacular in the summer. The food was wonderful and we ended our stay with a couples massage...I highly recommend that! Dinner options aren't abundant in Prescott. We went to Hastings,MN and ate at the Mississippi Belle. It was not busy and the food was good; it seemed to be the only non-bar and grill type place around the B&B.

My husband surprised me with a quick get-a-way to the Arbor Inn, neither of us had ever visited a B&B before. This was a wonderful place for our first experience! The location was convenient. The room was very nice - especially the large tub! The breakfast was awesome : D John & Deb were pleasant, cheery, hospitable hosts!

The innkeepers John and Deb could not have been nicer nor more accommodating. We enjoyed their delicious homemade white lightening chicken chili with salad in the evening and wonderfully-tasting (and GLUTEN-FREE for me!) breakfast served in courses to our room the next morning. Temps were well below zero outside (Jan 1-2) but after soaking in the warmth and pampering in the Garden room, and enjoying the blazing fire, music, reading, napping, and more napping, I can truly say my husband and I left warmed up again from the inside out, completely DE-STRESSED from the holidays. We live north of the Twin Cities and didn't want to make a long drive to a B & B. We ended up taking the St. Croix Trail, all along the St. Croix River - a nice, uncomplicated route to and fro. Our heartfelt thanks, John and Deb, for helping us lower our blood pressure and start off the new year right!

What a fantastic B&B. Great innkeepers, wonderful breakfast, and tasty dessert. We stayed in the suite that includes the outdoor hottub and loved it. Can't wait to go back.

My husband and I stayed the night with friends of ours who had never been to a bed and breakfast before. We were hoping they would love staying at a bed and breakfast as much as we had in the past...and because of the Arbor Inn, they did! The service was great, the Sherman's were friendly and easy to talk too which always makes the experience that much better. The rooms were amazing, ours had the hot tub outside, and my husband and I had never experienced sitting outside in a hot tub and we loved it! We would definitely recommend this Bed and Breakfast and are hoping to be able to go back there some day soon!

The room was beautiful and cozy, the four-course breakfast in our room was luscious, the hosts were instantly like old friends, and perhaps best of all: Deb is a massage therapist! The couple's massage was the perfect ending to wonderful get-away! Thanks John and Deb - two states away isn't too far!

We had a wonderful two night stay at the Arbor Inn and could not have picked a better place to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. John and Deb are wonderful innkeepers and we really enjoyed visiting with them and Munch – and as others have mentioned in their reviews, it was like visiting with friends. We stayed in the Longworth room and it was warm and cozy. We loved the fireplace and the whirlpool tub, and really enjoyed their wonderful four course breakfast. We will definitely be back!

It was a wonderful way to celebrate our 50th anniversary. John and Deb are wonderful inn keepers. Just the right amount of hospitality and privacy. The breakfasts were great.

Walking from St. Paul MN to Prescott WI, 26 miles, I ended my trip at the Arbor Inn. Lovely people, everything as hoped - and the 60 min. massage and Raindrop therapy the next day were the perfect recovery aid after my long walk.

We have stayed at The Arbor Inn a number of times. It is our favorite mini vacation spot and each time has exceeded the past. The hospitality, rooms, massages, breakfast and ammenities are incredible. The owners, John and Deb, do everything they can to make your stay as perfect as possible. There is also the bonus of being within walking distance of beautiful and historic Prescott, WI. We were very pleased with this warm, cozy and clean Bed and Breakfast. Deb and John were so accommodating and really made our first experience staying in a B and B a wonderful one! We really enjoyed the DELICIOUS, three course breakfasts and the coffee and 'warm treats' delivered to our door an hour before breakfast each morning! Beautifully scented burning candles and relaxing music greeted us whenever we entered the inn. John prepared the fire pit for an evening fire for us and is currently working on a horse shoe pit as well. Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly yet allowed us our privacy as well. We certainly recommend this historic inn to others.

The room and house were both clean and cozy. We very much enjoyed our stay. We took full advantage of the house and yard and really enjoyed the fire pit. Service was excellent and the hosts are great to be around. It was like visiting friends with a really nice house!

My wife and I went to The Arbor Inn to get a quick getaway after our wedding. John and Deb were amazing hosts, always there for us, but completely laid back to give us the peace we desired. The 3 course breakfast (and the food that came with our wake up tray) was hands down phenomenal. We even got to eat it on a romantic private roof deck connected to our room. We will definitely be coming back for more visits when we are in the area.

Motorcycling the back roads of Wisconsin, we chose The Arbor Inn for it's location near the Mississippi River which we love to travel along. The Arbor Inn was comfortable, quiet, cozy, and the 5 star breakfast was a great way to start the day. Deb and John went beyond the call of duty to insure a great stay. They even let us park our motorcycles in their private garage. Lovely home/Inn with a lot of privacy.

John and Deb are fantastic hosts! We were given a free upgrade. The room was beautiful, clean, and even stocked with special treats and water bottles in the fridge. They have thought of everything. Go and enjoy!

We came on the recommendation of others. We were not disappointed! We came to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The food was outstanding and the chair massage was Excellent! We had a great time!

A lovely, relaxing get-away! We enjoyed breakfast on the private front rooftop deck, the jacuzzi, the massage, the wine and flowers, the quiet setting. John and Deb took great, personal, care of us. We were also provided suggestions of local flavor items we could include in our itinerary. We enjoyed it all. It was a slow-down time for us, and what a relaxing setting to do it in! We would recommend this to all! The experience exceeded our expectations!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Arbor Inn. We were looking for just a get-a-way for the two of us, away from the worries of constant every day worries and just sometime together with no pressure, and we found that here at the Arbor Inn, John and Deb were amazing and they have a beautiful home here at the Arbor INN, excellent food. I loved the breakfast, I'd eat it everyday of the week. :) Loved our room we stayed in the longworth room that had a walk out deck and a look over at the st croix river. It was so quiet and peaceful. We just absolutely loved it, and will return again when we can. This was the second bed and breakfast that we've ever stayed at, and I thought the arbor inn passed our first experience amazingly. I spent 3 wonderful nights in the Garden Room for my 40th Birthday! I loved every minute of it. John and Deb are such wonderful people that I felt right at home. The Inn was so cozy and inviting. I have Celiac Sprue and can not eat gluten, (wheat, barley and rye) and John and Deb did an excellent job creating 3 unique and delicious gluten free meals. This B&B is warm and cozy. The innkeepers are very friendly! We were well taken care of. the soft music, candles, and country charm made us feel so comfortable. The fireplace and whirlpool bath completed the package!

Our long weekend was too short becuase of the wonderful time we had at the Arbor Inn. As soon as we met Deb and John Sherman, we felt as though we were getting re-acquainted with old friends. They were a most friendly, hospitable and accommodating couple. The inn, in which we felt right at home, is historical without being stuffiy; charming without being cutesy. Our room was very clean, comfortable and well appointed with all the necessary ammenities. The food and evening wine tasting parties were absolutley wonderful, neither of which should be missed. Overall, we felt that our stay was well worth the cost and we intend to return, as soon as possible. By the way, my wife and I got a massage from Deb and highly recommend her skills as a licensed masseuse. Her massages are the icing on the cake of a wonderful stay at Arbor Inn.

My wife and I have traditionally spent an overnight for our anniversary for all 24 years of marriage. My wife's comment after staying here was that it was the first time she ever felt she would really like to come back again. Not that the other places we have stayed at were bad, just that we had an 'ideal' stay this time. Everything that we experienced was 'top shelf' including the service, the room, the food, and the massage. Once we arrived, we never left the building. It was so nice to have the ability to dine in for dinner. The chili and cornbread was perfect. There was never a sense of rushing to this or that. Just an evening and morning of time alone. The friendliness and caring of the innkeepers was unmatched in our experiences.

This is a great place to relax and get a way! The hosts are super friendly!

The Silhouette Room, with its private outdoor hot tub, was wonderful! A perfect place for relaxation and rejuvenation on a cold winter's night. Service was great; a quiet night with lots of privacy.

Cozy is the best word that descirbes this b & b. It was lovely in the winter with the fire place all roaring and the quaint dinning room with hot drinks (great teas) and wonderful desserts. Plus the great hot tub was perfect for Dec. weather. My favorite part about this Inn was the attention to detail and all the little extras. Because of the quaint cozyness the nearness of the rooms and the common area seemed pretty close and we never wanted to be to loud. Even in saying that though we never heard anyone. It was truely a very great stay and Deb and John respected that we wanted to be alone and served us very well.

We visited the Arbor Inn for my husband's 40th birthday. I wanted a quiet, relaxing hide-a-way where we could unwind and get in some much needed "alone time". The Arbor Inn did not dissappoint. From the wine tasting on Friday night to the great breakfasts it was exactly what we needed. The extra added bonus of having massage services right there in the Inn was a real treat. Deb and John are WONDERFUL hosts! So friendly and caring. They really took the time to be with their guests and make us feel at home. I highly recommend the Arbor Inn!

Some people travel to expensive spa's and resorts to rejuvenate. Some people get mystic and find an abbey or convent to retreat from it all. I go to bed and breakfast's. And John and Deb were outstanding in letting me "rest, relax and rejuvenate." I was treated like a queen- served and pampered. Oh, I forgot to mention...THE FOOD!! Delicious wild rice and chicken soup supper with popovers. Lovely oven baked omelet with potatoes, and home made cranberry and applesauce. Plus the desserts- Oo La La. Wine, tea, muffins, I could go on and on, but really, you should eat and get pampered for yourself.

I don't even know where to start. Let's see... I wanted to suprise my husband with a night away. He had been working ALOT lately and I just wanted to get out of town. It worked out perfectly how I found this bed and breakfasts website online, I called and Deb was awesome from the first HELLO on the phone. I was delighted to find out they had 1 room open - so I took it. I was slightly nervous even though I knew she seemed friendly on the phone, but never having gone to a B & B, I didn't know what to expect. But I decided to just go with it. It was about 1 1/2 hours from our home. Which in itself was very nice! But when we drove into Prescott, it was VERY easy to find (nice big sign telling you where to turn) and the parking was convienent to the B&B. We walked up to the door and immediatly we felt at home. It was quaint, well organized, homey and just plain welcoming. From the greeting of John and Deb until the moment we left, every detail was pre thought. It was like they were born to run a B & B. They are like a fine piece of machinery - they work so well together. You can tell they truly love what they do. And because they love what they do, it shows in their attention to detail. We had a bottle of champagne chilling in our mini fridge, they recommended a fantastic dinner (Confluence), and finished up our time with a 1 hour couples massage. My husband, who doesn't like to step outside the box (ie, prefers hotels) thought this was a fantastic get away. In fact, he can't wait to go back but this time for 2 - 3 nights! If you have any doubt if this is the place for you just call and talk with them, you'll know if it's a fit for you. They are truly personable owners who just love catering to you! :-)

My fiancee and I visited Prescott and the Sherman Family this past weekend. We were welcomed with open arms and shared a special weekend visiting with John and Deb. As you can see in previous reviews, their attention to detail is second to none. The rooms were immaculate, the food, fresh and homemade everyday. They spared no opportunity to "go the extra mile" to make our weekend unforgettable. It was very convenient to get a massage or foot cleanse to add even more of a personal touch by the Sherman pair. This was our first stay at a B&B and it exceeded our expectations. We stayed two nights and didn't want to leave. The house is beautiful, warm and inviting and John & Deb made us feel welcome the moment we walked in. The food was wonderful!! We really missed the four course breakfast delivered to our room when we got home. Deb makes wonderful cakes and cookies that you don't want to miss. I would definitely recommend and would love to go back.

Our son and wife surprised us with a night at The Arbor Inn for our 30th wedding anniversary. We had never been to a B&B and never really thought about going to one. We could not have been more pleasantly surprised with our stay. We stayed in the Silhouette Room which has it's own private hot tub. The Arbor Inn has been decorated beautifully with every little detail done to perfection. I believe the comfort and charm is not just the wonderful setting, beautiful decore and home cooking, but the genuine warmth and caring of the Innkeepers, John & Deb Sherman. They made us feel so at "home" it felt like we were at a friend's house and we felt sad to leave! We can not wait to be able to go back and visit with John, Deb and Munch!

The inn keepers were very friendly! We really appreciated the fact that we could choose to have our breakfast in a private porch instead of a formal dining table with strangers. The inn is also in walking distance of restaurants and a few small shops. Can't think of a bad thing to say!

We've stayed twice in the Silhouette room where a private hot tub is out in a partially covered porch, with a private entrance. Very intimate and cozy. The food was outstanding. Our only complaint for the whole stay was some of the baked goods, which were sometimes terrific but sometimes not to our taste. The owners are very pleasant, friendly, and accessible. They accommodated our early arrival and helped guide us to hotspots around town. In town is a deceptively wonderful restaurant for dinner/lunch called Muddy Waters - don't miss it! The rooms are beautifully appointed and very cozy. Request non-down pillows if you are allergic (which was also accommodated with some very comfy standard pillows). We will definitely be staying at The Arbor Inn again!

John and Deb are energetic and warm hosts who definitely aim to please. They have a great inn and really go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed our room with a balcony, the breakfast was right on our request and the chocolate pie in the evening was better than the fabulous restaurant's in Prescott! Definitely a place to return and do it all over again.

This was our first time back in a couple of years and we were indeed very pleased with what John and Deb have done. The Inn and rooms have the warmth and grace of a century ago. The stress of a busy and hectic day, week, month, year just melts away as you settle in. The food is absolutely wonderful so don't go looking for low cal, though they are very adept at takeing care of all dietary needs. We enjoy early coffee and later breakfast on the ivy covered side porch where we can totally relax--we don't even read the paper. We have stayed there before and will continue to make it a "get away from it all" stop. You will feel much better if you stay more than one night--trust me.

When searching for a B&B for our 5th Anniversary, we found everything we were looking for at the Arbor Inn: a beautifully decorated home, close in distance to the Twin Cities, reasonable rates, a private hot tub, and numerous amenities. We expected some relaxing time away from home responsibilities, but didn't know we would enjoy such delightful company visiting with Deb and John. We had a very nice time at this bed and breakfast. We were welcomed and felt right at home as soon as we walked in. We stayed in the siloutte room with the outside hot tub and it was very private and nice. The two-headed shower in the room was a plus too. The breakfast was delicious and we really enjoyed the wine and cheese tasting the evening we arrived. We had a very nice time.

This is the second time we've stayed at The Arbor Inn. This time we stayed in the Silhouette Room with the hot tub. It was awesome sitting under the stars with a few snowflakes falling on us. If you go, book a massage. Deb is WONDERFUL! Both Deb and John were great hosts. The place is immaculate. They even had a fire going before our scrumptious breakfast so my husband and I could cozy up to the fire and read the newspaper. There's so much to do around Prescott and the Inn is very convenient to what we like to do. We went skiing at Afton Alps after breakfast and walked a couple blocks to town for dinner the night we got there. I can't wait to go back in the spring to see all the migrating birds since they are so close to the river. Thanks for making our anniversary so special Deb and John. We'll be back! P.S. When you go, make sure you leave room for the wonderful home baked goods they leave out to eat while you are there...mmm!

To start out with I absolutely have to say that John and Deb were very warm and welcoming. We felt comfortable the minute we stepped into the Inn. The breakfast,treats and wine were perfect.Our stay in the garden room was everything we were hoping for. Most importantly we were able to relax and rest,which doesn't happen to often in our hectic blended famly life. The Arbor Inn is wonderful.We are already planning our next stay.
