About Jacks Lake Bed and Breakfast
Jacks Lake Bed and Breakfast is located on a beautiful small lake in the
Blue Diamond recreation area of northern Chippewa County.
Originally opened in 1992, this was the first off-grid, alternate energy Wisconsin B&B
Newly remodeled, it now has three room options, including two suites.
All guest rooms have great lake & garden views, private baths & Internet.
We serve a full breakfast with organic and local products when possible,
And dietary restrictions are accommodated.
A 500 square foot meeting room is available and guests have use of a canoe, volleyball court, hot tub (seasonal), wood fired sauna and lakeside deck.
Swim, fish, canoe or enjoy the peace and quiet of Jacks Lake. Take a short ride to one of the several area lakes, restaurants, golf courses, or to the local section of the Ice Age Trail where you can hike, snowshoe or cross country ski. See our website for a list of more activities.
While we have hooked up to the local power Co-op, we still produce most of our own electrical power with photovoltaic panels and diesel co-generator. Passive solar provides most of the space heating with an outside wood fired boiler or high efficiency gas boiler as back up for our very comfortable radiant floors. An attached solar greenhouse, super insulated house design and various other energy conservation features are also incorporated. These systems will be explained in our optional tour and information session. Please, no smoking and no pets. All gentle spirits welcome!
