Maiden Rock Inn

  • Inn Details

"Where Sleeping in School is Cool" Hi, we are Gary and Jennifer Peterson, wood craftsman and artist, and owners of an historic 1906 building that we have lovingly adapted as a unique inn. We have applied our talents to create what we believe is a memorable and inspirational setting. Beautiful woodwork graces every hallway. Tin ceilings crown the spacious guest and common rooms. All bedrooms and bathrooms are decorated in a different theme built around hand-painted wall murals, rich natural fabrics, and high-quality furniture and accessories. Rooms are individually climate-controlled. In this renovated 16,000-square-foot school building, all guests have access to the following amenities: . dining room and wine bar - we favor local, sustainably-grown food and fine wines . sauna and massage room . Mediterranean-style grotto with deck and garden, and a rooftop terrace with panoramic 360 degree view . library with gorgeous 12-foot-high stone fireplace, comfortable seating and bar . gymnasium with exercise equipment, basketball hoop, ping pong, foos ball, and musical instruments . game room with pool table, games, puzzles, large screen TV, complete with DVDs delicatessen and gift shop Non-smoking - and sorry, you need to leave behind your loving pets. Our inn is located in charming Maiden Rock, next to scenic Lake Pepin and the rolling hills of southwestern Wisconsin (65 miles from the Twin Cities, 214 miles from Madison). We welcome your inquiries and reservations. 715-448-2608

My wife Maggie and I had the pleasure of staying at the Maiden Rock Inn for two nights. We enjoy staying at B&Bs and we have stayed at excellent B&Bs but this is the most memorable. The room excellent and every was more than clean, it was beautiful. Everything had been remodeled and the interior design is wonderful. The food was excellent and we had interesting conversations with Gary, Jennifer, and another couple that stayed there. We will stay here again if we are in the area and we recommend it to everyone we know.

Gary and Jennifer are delightful hosts. The rooms are beautiful with high ceilings and hard wood floors. Don't miss breakfast!
