Opened as Madison's first bed and breakfast in April of 1985, Annie's is a rustic cedar shake and stucco home in a quiet neighborhood overlooking a beautiful view of Warner Park, a block away from Lake Mendota's eastern shore. A perfect place for weary travelers and those yearning to make a connection with nature, this lovely expanse of parkland has place names such as Great Heron Marsh, Owl Woods, and Fox Glen. The home is a tasteful fusion of past and present. Your suite includes a living room with fireplace, 2 bedrooms, and full bath. Whirlpool room, and theater room complete with popcorn. All totally private.

Larry and Annie have created a little oasis in the midst of Madison. Their home is like a mini-resort, a permanent vacation. They offer more amenities than one can list... be sure to call ahead and ask questions ahead of time; it will save you packing extras that you will NOT need! Warner Park behind their house provides a beautiful backdrop... the trees in the park that you'll see from the large west-facing windows were planted by Larry years ago; that's just the kind of guy he is. Annie and Larry's interests are wide-ranging, their backgrounds fascinating, and their conversation scintillating. This B&B experience is the most memorable and personal you may ever have!

Our time at Annie's was just what we expected. We loved the rooms, with all of the knick knacks and decorations. We enjoyed the jacuzzi, the bed was comfortable, and everything was clean and tidy. Larry, our host, was charming and very knowledgeable about Madison. His breakfasts were tasty, and we enjoyed eating with him very much. Thanks for a good stay!

We came for a quiet weekend away from home. Having the run of the house was a unique treat at this B&B. The hosts are chatty and have lot's of information about Madison history and goings on. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a clean comfortable quiet getaway.

I have had more experience with B&B's, however you never know what you are getting into. This B&B was by all means our best and more pleasurable. We will return again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Annie's. They make you feel very welcome, and pamper you the whole way. Breakfast both mornings was unsurpassed. We felt like the King and Queen of the castle. We found the place very quiet and peaceful. It is full of interesting books, art and decorations. Larry is extremely knowledgeable about the Madison area. wledgeable about the Madison area. Annie's is a short way from the Capital, which means there is no shortage of things to do and see.

A fantastic stay in a warm and cozy setting. My hosts were very accomodating and friendly, even waiting for us to arrive well after midnight. The setting is very quiet and peaceful, with beatiful gardens and vegetation surrounding the property. We will return!

My girlfriend and I, who are from Illinois, enjoyed a nice three-day weekend in Madison. Annie and her husband were very kind and accommodating.

We sent 3 nights over the Ironman week-end in September. It was the perfect place to be away from the busy chaotic dowtown before the race yet close enough to not be inconvenienced. Annie and husband extended their services to make us feel at home and relaxed before the race and accommodated our every need. We've traveled extensively and clearly this is the best B&B experience we've had by far!!
