Thanks Maureen for another great stay at the Inn. Our stay this time was another prefect end to our weekend get away. The Inn was a welcome and comfortable stop for us on our way back home from a weekend in Door County. It is really great to have a place we can stop and rest for the journey back home the next day. I as always am looking forward to our long vacation in the Fall. The Inn remains our favorite place to start our long vacation to Wisconsin in the Fall and a great place to end the vacation on our way home. You have always made these vacations great. We are looking forward to our 18th year of coming to Wisconsin the coming Fall. Thanks for making all of our trips to Wisconsin a great place to start. I could have chosen to stay anyplace in Lake Geneva, but I have zero desire to stay anywhere else in Lake Geneva other than T.C. Smith Inn. Thanks to you and all that you have done for us when we have been at your Inn Maureen. Vi Lighthall and Max(dog) Lighthall Vi Lighthall and Max(dog).
AS always, thank you for all the compliments to the inn and myself. This year was special too since I was able to join you for dinner. Max is like one of my grandchildren that comes to visit me several times a year. You know sometimes he does not want to even get in your vehicle to go home. am so much looking forward to your arrival in the fall again to celebrate your wedding anniversary. Some weekends, I have so many people celebrating anniversaries that I could have named the inn "The Anniversary Inn". See you in a few months. Until tenh, take care, Maureen

The location of this B&B is ideal. A close walk (2-10 minutes) to good food, shopping, and the lake! The Inn has a welcoming, warm, comfortable feeling. Our room was beautifully decorated with Victorian furniture, clean, quiet, relaxing and it felt very private. Breakfast was fresh fruit, juice, pastry, and Maureen's special egg dish. Delicious! If you're looking for a place to stay, look no further, this is it!!!!!
Thank You for you great review. I especially enjoy the reviews when my guests enjoy the antiques and fine art at the inn. When you return I will be making the homemade bread for the French toast. The weather will be warm so you can enjoy the gardens too.

My husband and I have stayed at many bed and breakfast inns throughout the years and truly consider T.C. Smith Historic Inn as one of our favorite. The location is perfect with nearby shops and excellent restaurant one block away. The owner Maureen made our stay a wonderful experience. It is wonderful get-away close to Chicago. Winnie and Rich
It is always great to see you both again. Although the winter trip was rough, you had a super anniversary weekend. I promise the weather will be so much better near the end of May. I really appreciate your compliments. Thank you so much.

My boyfriend and I wanted three days away from Chicago, and to try new things. So we went to Lake Geneva, after researching a few B&Bs, I came across T.C. Smith. The location is great, the house was beautiful, and the food was delicious! Maureen was a great innkeeper!! She was waiting at the door for us and very friendly! The inn had a vintage feel with updated features. We stayed in the Belle Marie Room, which featured a king size bed, double sized jacuzzi tub, and separate shower. The bed was very comfortable with a lot of pillows as well as blankets which was a nice touch. Since we went in winter not knowing all of the shops close around 5 pm, we were in our room earlier then we are used to, we were happy she did have wifi as well as cable as to some inns didn't have these options. The breakfast she made was so good! She changed things up each day and made everything from scratch! With my boyfriend being a chef he really appreciated that!! She allows you to pick your breakfast time so we were able to sleep in, and she had fresh fruit, hot coffee, and orange juice everyday on the table before we came down. She made egg soufflé one morning with three different meats, and five different cheeses as well as pastries. The second morning she made french toast and sausage, as well as pastries, that she makes herself. When we checked in she also checked to see if we had any dietary restrictions. She also adds great conversation during breakfast! Over all great experience and would love to come back!! Maureen was a wonderful innkeeper, who made us feel welcome and comfortable!! She gave us both a big hug and said she would love us to come back in summer!! That we will!
I'm so happy you had such a great experience at the inn. All your compliments are well received and appreciated especially since you work in a type of business that caters to visitors in the Chicagoland area. See you again in the summer.Take Care, Maureen
