Dogs love visiting Grandma!

4.6 on September 12, 2015

Didn't expect a place this nice that accepts dogs. Proprietor Maureen goes out of her way to make you feel welcome - she made great friends with us and our dogs. Absolutely lovely house and room. Amazing bathroom with Jacuzzi and multi-head shower. Yummy breakfast with best French toast on the planet, also fresh berries with cream - everything homemade. Nice location close to everything in Lake Geneva town. Would definitely go back again.

Innkeeper Response
Thanks you so much for taking the time to write a review. You were an amazing couple with two fabulous dogs. They were almost human talking to their grandma. Next time I can dog sit White Sox when you take August to herding trials, so the dogs do not get upset with each other. Hope to see all of you this fall. There is always a different menu but I can make the home made bread and french toast again too. Stay healthy. Maureen

21st anniversary

3.8 on September 06, 2015

The stay was great. Froom was quite and comfortable. We liked the scented candles and plenty of hot water to fill the tub. Very nice breakfast of fruits and coffee cake with egg soufflé. Hopefully kids will let us do this again!

Welcoming Stay

4.4 on September 01, 2015

My husband and I stayed here for one night in August and loved it! Maureen is such a lovely lady who helped us book a boat trip and with other info. We also got a room upgrade so could enjoy the amazing bathroom! I can totally understand why people rate her dining so highly as the breakfast spread was fabulous and her cooking skills were second to none. We would definitely recommend a stay at this B&B.

Innkeeper Response
Fun Weekend with your family and guests. I enjoyed Jonah very much. He was such a little gentleman. He was the best guest with his love of "the best french toast he ever had" Please don't wait until your anniversary to come again. Best luck house hunting. Take Care, Maureen

Seamless Stay!

Maureen was a gracious, warm and very accomdating host. Her homemade breakfasts were great and always included fresh fruit plus endless coffee and tea. The room was beautifully furnished and we loved the whirlpool tub! Me, my husband and our dog Charlie can't wait to come back!

Wonderful stay

Maureen was extremely nice and courteous. This is our 2nd time visiting and she remembers facts mentioned previously. The breakfast was very delicious also.

Innkeeper Response
I was happy to see both of you again. Although it has been almost a year since you were here, I really remember so much about each guest. The guests are part of an extensive expansive family of mine. I feel part of your successes and take care in less than memorable experience. I'm expecting you very soon in October. Until then, take care, MAUREEN

Great romantic getaway

5 on August 06, 2015

My husband and I chose T.C. Smith Historic Inn for a quick one-night getaway a few days after our wedding. It was one of the best choices we made! First, we were drawn to T.C. Smith because it was dog-friendly and we were able to bring our 45lb dog along for the vacation. Maureen, the owner, was warm and friendly but did not encroach on our time when we wanted to relax and be by ourselves. The largest room, the Belle Marie, had a wonderful whirlpool and we were also only a block off of the main street in Lake Geneva and a few blocks walk to the lake. Maureen also prepared a five-star homemade breakfast and was a gracious hostess. We would recommend T.C. Smith Historic Inn for a Lake Geneva getaway!

only one night but perfect!

Dear Maureen, Thank you for sharing your home with us. Your Granddaughters were precious and we enjoyed meeting them. Our room was very comfy and you really thought of everything. The breakfast was outstanding. We've stayed at many B&Bs and your's is one of the best. Most of all we enjoyed meeting and swapping stories with you. If we come to your area again we will definitely stay with you. Wendy and Bill E.

Innkeeper Response
Thank You for all the compliments. There are always stories to share around the buffet breakfast. Maybe someday soon I will be lucky to have Doire and Mary Elizabeth helping me in the summertime. My older granddaughters helped about twenty years ago with the wastebaskets, candy supplies and personal bath and spa items. The whole concept will make experiencing bed and breakfast more fun. Til next time, MAUREEN

Recent stay at TC Smith Historic Inn

We stayed two nights in the William and Mary Room and Maureen was such a gracious host. The meals were outstanding and she makes you feel so welcome. One big advantage Is that the Inn is within walking distance to shops and the lake. We would recommend the B and B to anyone who is planning a visit to the Lake Geneva area. Judy and Ron Jerome
