Relaxing stay

Carol is a wonderful hostess! She made sure we had a relaxing stay and that we were well taken care of. The breakfast was phenomenal, but the conversation was even better! I highly recommend staying here.

We loved the feel of the B & B

We loved the feel of the Victorian era B & B. Carol was a great host and we felt like we had gained a friend by the time we left our 3 day stay. We would definitely repeat the experience.

Wonderful B&B

4.2 on August 03, 2015

Carol is a wonderful host who makes everyone feel at home, without being intrusive. The Johnson Room was what you would expect in a well-maintained B&B - true to the pictures on the website - with a large private bathroom area. Carol is happy to give guests a tour of her garden. B&B is within 20-30 minutes of Madison and canoeing, and within 5 minutes of Lake Ripley for general beach recreation. Highly recommended.

Lovely Bed and Breakfast, beautiful gardens and well-maintained home. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The owner was very welcoming/ accommodating. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast the next morning. We would stay there again.

Clean rooms, beautiful home, great owner but I feel it was over priced.

Perfect Getaway

The Covington Manor is located in the sweet town of Cambridge, close to Lake Ripley. The host was wonderful. Her breakfasts were outstanding and she made our stay very special.

Tucked away in Greenery

We were attracted to the Covington Manor for its location near Lake Ripley. The choice was a good one, away from the urban afflictions of the state capital twenty minutes away.

A Wonderful Labor Day Weekend Getaway

5 on September 02, 2014

Our Labor Day stay at Covington Manor far exceeded my expectations. We were met by Carol who is a gracious host and very interesting person. Our room was impeccable, interesting and comfortable. Breakfast was a treat, and because my wife has Celiac disease, Carol made her meal with gluten free bread. It was just as tasty as the regular portions. There were three couples at breakfast and we were unknown to each other. Carol joined the group after breakfast and the conversation was so interesting we lingered until almost noon. We've stayed in lots of B & B's and give this one, and the experience, our highest recommendation.

Couldn't Have Been Better

Covington is absolutely gorgeous and I don't think I've ever been in a more clean was spotless. We were warmly greeted by Carol and immediately felt at home. She was just wonderful. I can't say enough about her and this was just phenomenal! Our room was comfortable and we had the windows open and slept like babies. Our breakfast of quiche, fresh strawberries, fresh blueberry movie coffee and juice was just outstanding. We will definitely go back!!

The Covington Manor is an exceptionally well cared for property and you can see why when you meet Carol. She was very welcoming and she offered spot on advice for where to dine and what sights to see. Carol is by far the most accommodating and gracious hostess that we have ever met!

Excellent Choice

We had a wedding to attend in Cambridge with many activites planned for the weekend. Carol was accomodating to our schedule making breakfast early one day so we could golf with those gathered there. Excellent food with consideration for our diet needs. The rooms are beautifully appointed and it was one of the best bathrooms and showers I have used. The garden setting is quiet despite being on the main street and close to downtown Cambridge. Highly recommended.

Our visit to Covington Manor was delightful in every way -- hospitality, food (amazing breakfast), friendliness. I would & will go back again and again. Thank you, Carol!

Great B & B!

Time for a family reunion in Beautiful Cambridge. The Lake house on Lake Ripley could not handle all the brother, sisters and spouses. The well water alone. Solution was for 4 couples to stay a few nights at the Covington Manor. Arrangements were made by the Cambridge Lake Ripley crew with Carol Simon. Wonderful house, antiques and the morning breakfast? Don't be late! Coffee well made and a lot of attention to small details. Don't miss out if you have a chance to stay sometime. The AC worked well and it was 100 outside. Cable & Golf Channel too. Hah! Enjoy this gem, gotta go. A totally wonderful experince.

At home in Her home!

Carol was definitely the "hostess with mostest!" We had 4 couples in our group and Carol treated us so well....bottomless coffee, an outstanding breakfast ....we felt so at home in her home and are already talking about a return visit! We highly recommend Covington Manor ! -Jim and Laurene
