We thoroughly enjoyed our few nights at the Artesian House (weekend of July 12th). Upon our arrival, we felt as If we were welcomed, long last relatives. The house is nestled in 25 acres of woods with a one minute drive to the main road and a 3 minute drive into Bayfield. The house is newly remodeled; our room was modernized, of ample size, neatly appointed and impeccably clean. (We forgot a number of things at home and when we asked them to direct us to a store, Christine and Dennis offered to lend us what we forgot). Others have said it well – Christine and Dennis were very friendly yet not intrusive. We enjoyed the time we did spend with them in the main room. Breakfast could only be described as perfect. Can’t wait to revisit!

My husband and I went here for our anniversary weekend to go to Madeline Island. The hosts are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area and gave us ideas about where to go and what to do. The rooms were cozy and comfy. I loved that there were no TV's in the whole place so we had to be sociable :) Breakfast was delicious as well! I am gluten free and Christine made breakfast that accommodated that. I would definitely go back and recommend staying there to anyone that wants great B&B that isn't too expensive.

Couple 50's ... Explored Bayfield and enjoyed our evenings at Artesian House. In the morning, the fresh strawberries, blackberries and Mango topped with greek yogurt were delicious. The new owners were extremely nice and accommodating (we're not usually B&Ber's, so their friendly presence was very enjoyable, but not intrusive). And I especially enjoyed Dennis' sense of humor. You can't go wrong here -- great value. Great wifi and great Verizon cell coverage. 5 minutes to town. Clean and very nice. Do it!

The rooms were comfortable and clean. The cotton robes hanging in the bath were a nice touch. The B&B is just outside of town on several wooded acres and wrap around porch for views of the woods. The hosts were friendly and the breakfasts were ample and tasty. We would stay here again;.

Had a great time in Bayfield, Wisconsin thanks to the people at the Artesian Bed and Breakfast. The owners were inviting and affable. When we visit the Bayfield area again, there's no question that we will stay at this bed and breakfast!

Beautiful house, nicely decorated. In the middle of the woods, a three minute drive from downtown Bayfield. Hosts are nice and helpful, and are clearly working hard to make this a prettier place by the day. My main issue was with the size of the room, which was a bit crowded for my taste, with no space to put down a suitcase without it being in the way, and no space for hanging clothes. For what I paid, I would've expected a more comfortable room.

Would recommend highly. Was welcomed warmly by Christine and Dennis, they had some great recommendations for things to do in the area. The rooms were comfortable, quiet, and the property is well-cared for. Would love to stay again.

We highly recommend the Artesian House Bed & Breakfast. The owners are very warm, welcoming, and interesting. They did everything they could think of to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. Breakfast was nothing short of outstanding. The locale is just beautiful. My only recommendation to the owners is that they consider providing a few more shelves for storing small items (toiletries, etc.). We will definitely return to this B&B the next time we visit Bayfield.

The Artesian House is absolutely gorgeous! Breakfast was amazing, the house was clean, the view was great, and we just loved every single thing about The Artesian House. Christine & Dennis were so helpful at directing us on where to eat, things to do and how to get places. Will definitely stay again.

Dutch Baby Pancake
Batter of eggs, milk and flour is added to a cast-iron skillet and baked for about 28 minutes, creating a "puffed-up" pancake. Served with fresh fruit--strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, nectarines in season--or with frozen berries from the summer harvest, or the best available fresh fruit, in the off season. Pure maple syrup and powdered sugar also are served to enhance this dish.
