Christine and Mark were very warm, friendly and welcoming. The room was great, the breakfasts delicious! They were also very helpful in providing local information so we were able to plan our outings with great knowledge of what to expect where. I will certainly be planning future stays at the Artesian House.

The setting is beautiful and close to the Lake and other amenities. Our host and hostess were very pleasant, room was beautiful with large windows that looked out into the woods and a separate door to enter directly into our room. Breakfast was delicious!

We enjoyed our weekend at Artesian House B&B. It was our first visit to this location, and first time in Bayfield. Good breakfasts (gracefully accommodated our special dietary needs), bright clean rooms with new beds and linens. We enjoyed the deck for pre-bedtime star gazing and all the helpful tips on things to see and do in the area. Thank you! We hope to be a return guest!

The food was great tasting but would have liked to have more of it. Christine was so very personable and extremely helpful. She told us where to go to get tickets for a cruise of the islands and the great places to eat in town. We had such a wonderful time, I would recommend this place to everyone.

Every time I book a B&B there's a touch of apprehension as to whether I've made a good choice - but that's half the adventure, right? I think you'll find pleasure if you book this place. Warm hosts, clean contemporary rooms, excellent breakfast. A nice location: close to nature, secluded, yet within 2 or 3 minutes of everything the Bayfield area has to offer. Enjoy the patio!

We had a wonderful time at the Artesian House. It was close to the Big Top for a concert we were attending and also close to everything in Bayfield. The breakfast's were excellent and Christine did everything she could to accomodate the diverse needs of guests that were there with us. Highly Recommended!

Artesian House is located a just a few miles outside of Bayfield. We found the location peaceful and quiet. The value was excellent. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The rooms are located just off the main gathering space, so you feel a bit close to the other guests.

What a lovely spot, nestled in the woods with 4 beautifully-appointed rooms, Just outside of Bayfield, WI. Newly redecorated or completely redone, this home is perfect. Our breakfast each day was tasty, including local Bayfield bakery items.

We thoroughly enjoyed our few nights at the Artesian House (weekend of July 12th). Upon our arrival, we felt as If we were welcomed, long last relatives. The house is nestled in 25 acres of woods with a one minute drive to the main road and a 3 minute drive into Bayfield. The house is newly remodeled; our room was modernized, of ample size, neatly appointed and impeccably clean. (We forgot a number of things at home and when we asked them to direct us to a store, Christine and Dennis offered to lend us what we forgot). Others have said it well – Christine and Dennis were very friendly yet not intrusive. We enjoyed the time we did spend with them in the main room. Breakfast could only be described as perfect. Can’t wait to revisit!

Dutch Baby Pancake
Batter of eggs, milk and flour is added to a cast-iron skillet and baked for about 28 minutes, creating a "puffed-up" pancake. Served with fresh fruit--strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, nectarines in season--or with frozen berries from the summer harvest, or the best available fresh fruit, in the off season. Pure maple syrup and powdered sugar also are served to enhance this dish.
