Solar Room: Large light and airy room with 1 king bed (or 2 twins) and a day bed with second matress underneath. Situated on the second floor, with windows facing the south and east, this truly is the solar room. Shared bathroom on the first floor.
Garden Room: This first floor room has a double bed, solar heated tile floor with soothing sage green walls. Shared bathroom.
Energy Room: This room, the Energy Room is on the first floor and boasts a modern feel, large closet and view of the wooded back yard. Queen bed and sitting chair. Private bathroom with claw foot tub & seperate shower.

My husband and I stayed three days and learned a great deal about sustainable technology and how to incorporate it into a lifestyle that is anything but austere. Marguerite and Bob are gracious hosts and we will stay there again in the future.

Warm and welcoming, Bob and Margarite are more than gracious hosts in to their sustainable B & B. The first in the country to use solar heating, it was literally warm and cozy, even with VERY cool temps outside. Margarite's breakfasts left us wanting to return again and again: everything homemade, with vegetables, fruits, and even maple syrup fresh from the farm. If you are anywhere in the area looking for a quiet place to stay that's clean and comfortable, stay at Artha!

Bob and Marguerite are experts in Solar & Sustainable Living. Bob is co-author of "Solar Water Heating, A Comprehensive Guide to Solar Water and Space Heating Systems", the first book of it’s kind written in over 25 years. Marguerite is a Certified Yoga Instructor and teaches workshops on Meditation, Living in Harmony and Herbs. They enjoy organic gardening and cooking, cross country skiing, hiking and swimming.
