Built in 1916 for the Superintendent of the Maryland New River Coal Company, Martin L. Garvey & Family. The friendly and casual atmosphere of Garvey House will make you feel right at home. Two turn of the century style homes nestled in between beautifully landscaped gardens.
We at Garvey House invite you to explore the New River Gorge area. Renown for its warm, friendly atmosphere, its proximity to Fayetteville, WV and inviting nature of its shady gardens. We are conveniently located in the heart of the northern New River Gorge region, fifteen miles from Fayetteville, near hiking, biking, climbing and whitewater rafting areas.

Full Guest House Rental: $450/night up to 12 guests, $10/night extra guests. Comfortably accomodates 16 people with breakfast. Rent the house for 4 nights get the 5th night free.
Guest house features 5 Bedrooms w/ private baths with Claw Foot Tubs and Shower. Fully equipped kitchen and large porch to relax and take in the clean mountain air. The Guest house is also available for small groups, retreats and family reunions.It accomodates 12-15 people. Laudry facility available when renting Guest House.
The main house features our sunny main dining room where a full breakfast is served daily and The JW Garvey Honeymoon Suite. Large Sunny room with seating area and Private Bath.
