Breath of Heaven Bed & Breakfast

  • Inn Details

Breath of Heaven B&B was built in 2001 with you in mind. The cottage above and the barn below gives it a down home and farmhouse feel. All rooms are tastefully decorated and easily accessible. A hot breakfast served in the Great Room or on the deck will start your day of nearby activities or events. Or simply read a book on the back porch swing, take a stroll down a country lane, or watch the sun set and the stars appear while soaking in the hot tub.

I was looking for a last minute weekend "getaway" and I found Breath of Heaven on this website. After researching a few more B&Bs, I kept coming back to Breath of Heaven. It wasn't too far of a trip, the reviews were great, and the hot tub was the clincher! The drive through West Virginia was beautiful, but once I reached the main road leading to the B&B, it literally took my breath away! The inn had gorgeous scenic views from all sides of the house. The innkeepers, Geri and Ed, were friendly from the moment I arrived and they were more than accommodating for all my interests and needs. The cooking was delicious (they even made me a small dinner the night I arrived since the local restaurant was closed down). The day that I wanted to venture out and see the nearby areas, Ed offered to drive (they warned that although there wasn't snow in Petersburg, there'd be some snow and difficult driving further in the mountains) and show me the places I was interested in seeing. He was great company for a day spent sightseeing and getting to know the area. Their place was the quaint, cozy, relaxing lodge in the mountains that I was looking for! Their motto really is true that this is a place (and they are the people) "strangers become friends." I can't wait to visit again sometime!

Nestled among farms and hills..... quiet and peaceful.... far enough away from hustle and bustle but close enough to small town mainstream.... hospitable hosts, scrumptious breakfast, cute decor, comfortable and clean.... definitely worth a revisit if ever back in the area.
