Dan and Elisse anticipated our every need and responded promptly to our requests. Dinner was a real treat and Breakfast was a geat way to start the day.All in all it was a heavenly stay.

The inn is across the road from the railroad tracks, where the trains run continuously. We stayed in the closest room to the tracks to see and hear them during the night. We saw several! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! read more

The "Maverick Bath" has two antique, claw-foot bathtubs, and is perfect for "dueling bubblebaths" like in the movie Maverick! Also known to guests as the "Spa Bath", it is the one bathroom original to the Elkhorn Inn, was originally plumbed for two tubs, and has the original ca. 1920 white-and-gold floor tile. Decorated with original art, a chandelier, vintage dresser, and Greenbrier chair, it's a unique and fun bathroom to enjoy during your stay at the Elkhorn Inn!
The "Blue Room" with Private Bath. Decorated with a 1930's 'waterfall suite', down pillows and comforter, a vintage quilt, and art, the bath has a clawfoot tub as well as a shower, signature toiletries, and bathrobes. The guestroom has a/c and heat. The perfect "Railfan" guest room, the view is of the famed Pocahontas Railroad on one side, and of Elkhorn Creek on the other! The Elkhorn Inn offers fine dining (with one day's notice), and has EiFi internet access, sat TV/VCR/DVD, fireplace, balcony, and patio. The "Yellow Room" has a private bath with a claw-foot bathtub as well as a shower. Decorated with vintage 1930s furnishings, a cross-stich quilts, and original art, the guest room has a view of Elkhorn Creek, and bathrobes, down pillows and comforter, signature toiletries, a/c and heat. The "Fan Quilt Room" has a vintage, 1930's feedsack" Fan Quilt, 1930's furnishings and is decorated with fine art, needlepoint and ceramics.
