The Jackson Rose Bed & Breakfast

Step back in time at The Jackson Rose Bed and Breakfast, an 18th Century residence listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Escape the hassles of everyday modern life amid the quiet comforts of this restored Federal-style home, in the very rooms that the Lee family once owned and that Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson chose as his temporary headquarters during the Civil War. From this home in 1861, Jackson wrote pleasingly to his wife of a fragrant rose climbing to his second story room - thereafter referred to as the "Jackson Rose" - and an “elegant mansion” and “nice, green yard.”
Guest rooms include queen-size beds and private baths; the house features original heart of pine floors, gas fireplaces, high ceilings, front parlor and porch, rose and herb gardens. Our full morning meal, made with local fresh eggs and garden herbs, along with our homemade jams, breakfast breads, fresh fruit and Columbian coffee, will start your day off right.
