Harpers Ferry Guest House

  • Inn Details

Harpers Ferry Guest House was built in 1992 to conform to the period architecture of the town of Harpers Ferry. You are provided with large, bright, airy, smoke free air conditioned rooms in a truly historic setting. The main guest rooms each have a four poster queen bed, private attached modern bath and ceiling fans. The atmosphere is informal and friendly. Breakfast is served in a common dining room that is adjacent to the kitchen area allowing guests and hosts to converse while breakfast is being prepared and served. There is a small private off street parking lot, many flower gardens and a nice front porch with a wisteria vine, rocking chairs and a great proch swing.

This is a comfortable, spacious B & B. Al and Allison are great hosts and also provide travel info and maps to area attractions. Al is a great cook and everything is beautifully presented! These hosts actually make you feel you are "guests" around their table!

Impeccable care from hosts, Al and Allison. I stayed a week, and every day was greeted by affable conversation, historical facts, tips on hiking and local attractions, and every day a different, very tasty (and artistically arranged) breakfast.

    Wonderful stay!

Al and Allison are superb hosts! We were greeted with tea and cookies when we arrived and a lovely visit with Al. We met Allison later, heard great stories and got to see the lovely icons she has painted. Our room was beautifully decorated, large, airy, quiet and very comfortable. There was a book case full of Civil War themed books. They said if we started one during our visit, we could take it with us and mail it back when we finished. Their recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing were perfect. Al makes a great breakfast and again we were treated to lively conversation. Both Al and Allison have vibrant personalities and after a short time you feel like you're with old friends. We would go back to Harpers Ferry just to stay at the Harpers Ferry Guest House.
