This was such a nice couple and when they arrived and I showed them to their cottage it was an extraordinarily warm day, almost 80 degrees, for the end of May and Memorial Day in Seattle area (just like this year's unusual heat wave during the same time period). I noticed heat coming from the free-standing gas fireplace, due to the pilot light and asked if they would rather have it off since it was putting even more heat into the room. They said yes, they would like that.
The next morning when they checked out they shared with me that it had been such a warm beautiful evening, they had strolled around in the tall grasses in the meadow area and had gotten the legs of their pants and feet wet from the dew and became quite cool. The large 2 person jetted tub filled with hot water would have been a lovely way to relax and warm up together. By the time I returned from dinner that evening at 9:30, got their message and went out to their cottage, all their lights were out and they were not answering their cell phone - to me that says 'do not disturb'. I will definitely be more careful about making certain my cell phone # is in the rooms as well as on my back door. I was so sorry they hadn't reached me.
