We are a family of two adults and one child. We stayed at the Guest House bed and breakfast (www.guesthousebnb.com) in Burien (south Seattle) for five nights prior to an Alaska cruise this past August and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Minutes from the airport and the light rail train station by car, taxi or bus, a twenty to thirty minute train ride into downtown Seattle, Guest House B and B is an ideal place for visitors to the Seattle-Tacoma area to enjoy some r. and r. after a day of touring, exploring or doing whatever it is you have come to Seattle to do. Lovingly tended gardens and a carefully maintained hot tub and deck provide a magically comforting and calming balm to weary muscles, feet and spirits. Guest House B and B provides a quiet, private, self contained suite with two bedrooms, each with its own beautifully coordinated colours, character and queen sized bed, a full bathroom, use of a fridge, microwave and coffee maker, a comfy sitting room with TV, VCR, radio and a collection of books and games- completely separate from the living space of hosts, Tom and Linda Dike. We wakened every morning to the earthy, seductive aroma of freshly ground coffee and a gourmet breakfast where a simple white plate becomes the canvass for an exquisitely presented piece of art; a symphony of colour and flavour. Attention to detail begins with starched and ironed bed sheets and immaculately clean living space and continues throughout your stay with fresh towels and bathrobes for the hot tub and cookies or cake left each evening for guests to enjoy. Tom and Linda are very respectful of the privacy of guests yet incredibly helpful, providing much information about sites and transportation in the Seattle area prior to and during your stay. The next time we go to Seattle, we know exactly where we will stay.

Linda and Tom are fantastic innkeepers. The house is immaculate and very well kept. The breakfasts are fantastic and she goes out of her way to give you little touches like flowers on your plate. The yard is manicured perfectly and the flowers are so beautiful, the pix on internet do not do the gardens justice. It was a perfect and relaxing ending to our 2 week washington vacation and 7 minutes to airport. It was a great value to have two bedrooms a bathroom and living room to yourself, and a whole yard including a hot tub.

We just left The Guest House a few days ago and I'm already scheming how I can get back to Seattle for another get-away. Loved Linda and Tom's gourmet breakfasts and their attention to detail in every aspect of our stay. My favorites: homemade meals with fresh-from-their-garden fruits & herbs (strawberries, basil, etc.); the hot tub, their beautiful garden, all the wonderful referrals to local restaurants and ferry rides, the oatmeal cranberry cookies, and the nights of restful sleep on their queen-sized bed. This B&B was perfect for us in terms of location, price, amenities, and most of all, Linda and Tom's fantastic breakfasts. What a find!

LOVED Our Stay Here. Best: Breakfasts, Jacuzzi, Gardens, Hosts

My wife and I chose this B&B largely for the 1st floor accommodation for my mom. What we found was a gem of a B&B. Linda and Tom have put a lot of love over the years in this B&B, and it shines through the lovely rooms, the showcase gardens, the lovely jacuzzi, their breakfasts, and of course their graciousness as hosts. Tom & Linda's Breakfast were the best we've had for a B&B - and that's saying quite a lot. Breakfast is our family's favorite meal - ever. We were treated with Souffles, quiches, an abundance of Fresh fruit, with strawberries from their garden, not to mention the AWESOME homemade strawberry jam. Homemade scones were offered with breakfasts and homemade Cookies were made in the afternoon. Yum! BTW, Our vacations are based around savoring local regional foods, especially breakfasts, and having a home-cooked one started out our leisurely days perfectly. We all agreed that Linda and Tom's breakfasts were one of the surprising highlights of our Washington/Oregon trip. Don't forget to bring a bathing suit for the Jacuzzi - it doesn't matter what the weather is like, the jacuzzi is a very very nice addition after a full day of running around the city, or going fly fishing. We also loved that we were the only guests as the B&B caters to one family at a time. No loud families, or other kids running around us. Tom and Linda were also great about providing maps and directions to places, AND had great local restaurant recommendations. We went to Anthony's Homeport in nearby Des Moines, and were treated to a fabulous Hawaiian-inspired poke salmon appetizer for free thanks to Linda making the reservations for us. Tom and Linda are some the most gracious hosts that we have experienced in our B&B experience - good people. We will definitely be back.

While visiting family in the Burien area, we found Tom & Linda's B&B a wonderful spot to relax. The accommodations are comfortable and the garden is delightful!
