    My son & I stayed in the evergreen suite - a home away from home! Our needs were anticipated and met in such a warm friendly environment. We hated to leave! There are very few accommodations in West Seattle; this was truly a gem of a find. Joan Christenson

    Evergreen Suite

    The Evergreen Suite is a two bedroom apartment decorated in a cottage style. It contains a full kitchen, living room space (with gas fireplace and LCD TV), plus a laundry facility. The main bedroom is decorated in a fishing theme and contains a very large queen size four-poster bed. The second bedroom is decorated in a French Provential style and contains an oversize double bed. There is one bath between the two rooms. This unit has a private entrance and patio space and has easy access to the back yard. There is a $15.00 extra charge/person for use of the second bedroom.

    Jungle Room

    The Jungle room is decorated in a safari style complete with leopard carpeting and wood blinds. It contains one queen size four-poster bed, a small sitting room in the large walk-in closet and has a partial view of Puget Sound. There is a private bath next door with a claw-foot tub, walk in shower and very good view of Puget Sound.

    Castle Room

    The Castle room is decorated in a Victorian-style with two single beds and a mural on the ceiling of a Castle in the clouds. It has a partial view of Puget Sound and a small sitting area next to the large walk in closet. This room also has a private bath containing an English Slipper Tub located on the main floor. There is also a roll-away bed available to accommodate a 3rd person

    • Check In: after 4:00 p.m    Check Out: 12:00 noon

    • Minimum Stay: minimum 2 night stay on weekends and holidays

    • Deposit Amount Required: One night deposit required to hold room

    • Cancellations: We require at least 7 days notice for cancellation or shortening of your stay. Cancellations received less than 7 days prior to your arrival date will result in a charge for each night the room remains vacant. All cancellations are subject to a $20.00 handling fee. (Business travelers have a 48 hour cancellation requirement, Sun-Thurs from October -April only).

    Very adorable & a great place to relax

    To describe it in one word the chittenden house was very charming. The inn keeper even lets their guests take out up to 2 bicycles to stroll around town. The park(s) were nearby and boast great views of the bay. There is a guests' refrigerator filled partially with complimentary bottles of water, which was great for storing leftovers from lunch we brought with us that we ate for dinner. If we had stayed there longer (we only stayed for 1 night) I would have loved to have had the opportunity to eat on the balcony of the also very charming backyard. We stayed in the Castle Room, which was in sum fulfilled my inner childlike fantasy. Another plus were the bathrobes (I love it when B&B's have bathrobes for you to use even though I also tend to travel with my own for when there aren't any). As most bed and breakfasts cater to an occupancy of 2 people per room unless it was a premium priced cottage or suite, it was nice to be able to have 3 people be accommodated (via an extra pullout bed) since we were traveling with a friend. I absolutely have no complaints. I did rate the dining (the breakfast) a bit lower just because I've had better breakfasts at other B&B's but it was still a good basic breakfast (fruit + toast + eggs + tea or juice).

    We had a very nice time at the B & B. Marcia is very friendly and knows about places to visit in Seattle. The yard was enjoyable and the food was very good.

    Run by locals, Marge & Marsha. They do have dogs, but they mostly stay in the back. Don't skip Marge's cooking. You won't go away hungry.
