Inn at Rooster Hill

When I started looking for a bed and breakfast in port Angeles or sequim I made a huge list of everyone I could find, the. Narrowing it down by the accommodations that I found were a necessity such as a jaccuzzi tub, a large bed, a kitchenette and of course good food I came across Peggy and Laynes corner in the country, the perfect setting for any occasion. Peggy worked wonderfully with my schedule letting me come early and decorate the room for valentines day and going along with my surprise once me and my boyfriend showed up. I can personally say that I have researched all the B&B in this area and this is the one where you will get the most for your money by far. I highly recommend it for any adventure you are setting forth on! It was a wonderful place to stay and we will be returning shortly!

We stayed 3 nights in the Lauren room (3rd floor, so be prepared to carry your luggage upstairs) - very spacious, comfortable, & clean! Peggy was an incredible hostess...very friendly & helpful...made us dinner reservations at one of the local restaurants upon request as soon as we arrived (Bella Italia - yum!). Coco, the dog, was incredibly fun to give tummy rubs to as I was missing my pets at home! Breakfast was very good...the only suggestion I would make is having an earlier breakfast option available for those of us who like to hit the trails early...that being said, Peggy was very accommodating & packed us a filling & tasty breakfast that we could eat in our room. The location is just perfect - easy access to Pt Angeles but far enough away to feel like you are in the country...my husband got up for an early morning run & saw a mom deer & her 2 babies munching on some grass in the front yard! (the grounds are very beautiful). Easy access to Olympic National Park as well - the reason for our stay in the area. I definitely would recommend to others. The free Wi-Fi came in handy too...wish we had been able to take advantage of their DVD library...oh well, next time!

The inkeepers were very friendly and most helpful with information about restaurants and activities in the area. Peggy was gracious and flexible in meeting the restrictive dietary choices of our teenage children. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

My stay was amazing. It felt like staying with family. The inn keepers are so friendly and they suggested the perfect place for dinner. My room was adorable and the grounds were peaceful. I would definitely stay at Inn at Rooster Hill again!

My partner and I stayed for one night, along with our well-behaved dog and LOVED the Inn and the owners. Peggy has taken great strides to "Green" her Inn and is willing to share her efforts on the web site so you know how hard she is working towards improving her sustainability. The breakfast room and reading area is sweet and comfortable and the breakfast was healthy, pretty and plenty!

I stayed here recently with my girlfriend. We are from Victoria just over the water from Port Angeles, and were looking for a nice B&B to stay at for our anniversary. We were not disappointed by this one! We were met by the owner's son when we arrived and he showed us to our room and recommended a couple of good places to eat downtown - we went to one of them which was wonderful! The room was larger than we expected and very clean. The furniture and decorations were also nicely done. The magazines are a bit out of date, however. For breakfast, the owner Peggy made everything which was very fresh and delicious. We had a good conversation with her before we left. Unfortunately, we took her room keys back home with us by mistake, but they didn't seem upset about it - just asked us politely to send them back in the mail. I would definitely recommend this place and I'd like to visit again sometime.

The innkeepers were so helpful in recommending a good, local restaurant after our arrival. And their breakfast the next day was healthy and delicious. Rooms were very comfortable with every amenity. Great in-room coffee! Very friendly atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at the Inn for three days of our honeymoon. We had a wonderful experience and I would recommend this place to anyone! Peggy is a wonderful host and very accommodating. The food is absolutely amazing - I asked for every recipe. The suite was unbelievable! The Inn is at a very convenient location in the Olympic Penninsula. Everything was truly better than we expected!

We had a group of seven that spent 2 nights with Peggy & Layne and had a wonderful time. The breakfasts were very tasty, our bed was so comfortable and the rooms were spacious. We slept with the windows open seranaded by crickets & frogs! Wonderful place to stay, we plan to return!

Our room was so spacious and comfortable, well-furnished and clean. It was fun too, with a private deck and genuinely warm innkeepers. With the food being delicious and mainly local & organic, our experience was wonderful.

We had a great time at the Inn at Rooster Hill. Our room was very comfortable and I loved how it was decorated. There was a coffee pot and a mini fridge in the room. The breakfast was wonderful, and both my husband and myself had plenty to eat. The couple that ran the end were very friendly and went out of there way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

We often come to the peninsula for business, and call on Layne and Peggy every time! They are the perfect hosts, and we've never had a bad experience. I think we've stayed here about 8 times already. Set in the country, it feels like home. With an outdoor hot tub to watch the stars, and the most magnificent breakfasts, this place is fantastic!

My family and I stayed in the Madison and Lauren rooms. We loved it. Peggy is a gracious hostess with impeccable taste in decor and cuisine as well. We felt appreciated and welcomed. It is close to the National Park with gorgeous views. It was a great experience and we will be back!

We spent 3 nights in the Andrew room and found it to be so comfortable and cozy. It was wonderful having our little "kitchenette" where I could prepare our picnic lunches. Peggy and Layne couldn't have been more friendly and accomodating. Harley and Coco greeted us every morning and afternoon when we returned from our outings. Breakfast was scrumptuous. Peggy even prepared a "breakfast to go" when we left very early for the day to go to Victoria by ferry. Even managed to get a recipe for a wonderful coffeecake. Most enjoyable was the beautiful property with flowers everywhere. Upon our departure Layne cut some lilacs for me, put them on the table and then Peggy wrapped them for me to take along. Would love to visit again although we know living so far away chances would be slim. Thanks Peggy and Layne! We will remember you.

Friendly owners, gourmet breakfast, beautiful and romantic rooms in a wonderful and quiet setting is what makes this B&B a great getaway.

We enthusiastically recommend the Inn at Rooster Hill! For our first stay at a B & B, our experience here was far superior to ANY stay at any hotel (and we have stayed in many hotels). We were greeted at the front door with smiles, wagging tails (from Harley & Coco), and a welcoming ambiance. Layne, Peggy, and Linda are three of the most friendly and gracious friends we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The whole house is beautifully and artistically decorated, and each room has its very own unique style and theme. We had the pleasure of staying in two different rooms during our visit and found each one to be very comfortable and private. Our breakfasts were thoughtfully prepared and very satisfying with great variety. The Inn is located in a very quiet part of Port Angeles with a short driving distance to Olympic National Park or a short ferry ride to Victoria, B.C. Layne, Peggy, Linda, Harley, and Coco, thank you all so very much for helping to make our "Romantic Getaway" all that we were looking for, as well as filled with many new and unforgettable memories.

Stayed in Andrew room and really enjoyed the cozy warm bed. We must have surprised Linda w/ our long afternoon naps. Everything was great and friendly. We would stay there again and def will tell our friends about Rooster Hill. Oh, can't forget the 2 friendliest and cute dogs.

Our room was cozy, comfortable and quiet Breakfasts were outstanding with dietary requests taken seriously. The hospitality and friendlness of the home were only surpassed by that of the owners and the on site dogs.
