River Haus in the Pines

The sounds of the Wenatchee River from the deck of our room was amazing! The attention to detail was appreciated. Our hosts were gracious and sharing. The breakfast was delightful. We will definitely recommend and return.

Never having stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before, I was a bit wary and nervous about what to expect when I scheduled a stay at the River Haus for our 8th wedding anniversary. Needless to say, my mind was quickly set at ease and my wife and I had the best anniversary vacation ever, hands down! I had never even heard of Leavenworth, WA and had never met Mike and Cindy before our visit there in May. I now cherish being introduced to the town as well as to Mike and Cindy and this wonderful little B&B. Such a great little town and the most gracious hosts you will ever meet! I don’t know Cindy’s background but in my opinion she could easily be a gourmet chef or go into catering. Mike designed and built this place from the ground up and it shows! Not one detail was missed! Heated bathroom floor tiles, excellent window views and lovely decor just to name a few. We had an absolutely, amazing concert experience here as well. All of this would be plenty enough to make for a great stay, but throw in the majestic river and breathtaking mountain view and you can’t help but relax and let your worries and stress melt away! We will definitely be back!

We just visited Leavenworth for the first time and had a wonderful time beginning with River Haus in the Pines. It's a lovely B&B right on the Wenatchee River and our room (Eagle Creek) had the most wonderful view! So relaxing and peaceful, and so needed. We enjoyed our breakfasts and appreciated the coffee service beforehand. Cindy recommended a great place for dinner (Alley Cafe) and I had the best baby back ribs ever. We were also fortunate enough to be staying there when the River Haus was hosting a musical performance, and we were extremely fortunate to see Michael Powers perform -- that was such a special evening. We had no idea of what to expect in either Leavenworth or for accommodation. We could not have been happier when we found River Haus (thanks to the staff at the tourist information centre!). Beautiful setting, fabulous room, delicious breakfasts and charming hosts. If our travels were to ever take us back to the valley, River Haus would be our number one destination. We had a lovely 11th anniversary. Mike and Cindy are wonderful hosts. The property is beautiful. The anniversary card was a very nice touch. The breakfasts were amazing and filling. Chocolates by the bed. Spacious soaking tub. Gorgeous view from the Icicle Creek Room. We enjoyed listening to the river as we were falling asleep. Very highly recommended. Extremely comfortable king size bed with the softest sheets ever. Really enjoyed walking to town and around their place. Would love to come back.

What an amazing getaway, we stayed with Mike and Cindy for 2 nights and had such a wonderful time we are already looking forward to when we can make it back and stay at the River Haus in the Pines. The rooms were beyond our expectations and Mike and Cindy's breakfast's are nothing short of spectacular, all of the little touches like their spa bath and superbly comfortable beds and sheets made this an unforgettable getaway, Oh and the views are amazing!!!!

River Haus in the Pines is an absolutly wonderful experience! The house and setting are beautiful and incredibly relaxing. The view of the river and mountains are breath taking. Mike and Cindy are so friendly and inviting. And the food is not only delicious but pleasing to the eye.

If you want to be treated like treasured friends, be in awe of the view from your room, sleep in one of the most comfortable beds ever and be treated to the most beautiful and flavorful breakfasts you have ever had....River Haus in the Pines is the place for you! Had a wonderful stay and was very glad that we stayed an extra night. The rooms are extremely well done with everything top quality. The food is above and beyond. The ambiance is warm and inviting. Would definitely go back here again.

BY FAR THE BEST B&B EXPERIENCE WE HAVE EVER HAD! I took my girlfriend to the River Haus in the Pines Bed & Breakfast for a weekend getaway in Leavenworth in August 2010. We had the time of our lives and have since recommending this B&B to family and friends for their next trip to Leavenworth. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Leavenworth. Check out their website for the pictures (we found it to be even more beautiful than the pictures could show). The owner’s of the B&B (Mike and Cindy) are very kind and helpful while still giving you space and privacy that you don’t find at other B&B’s. The house was very clean, modern, and beautiful (I believe the house was newly built within the last few years and it feels brand new). This B&B was perfectly located on across the river from downtown Leavenworth. Nearly every room in the house had an amazing view of the river. We opened our patio door every night to fall asleep to the peaceful sound of the river. Each of the three rooms had their own individual bathrooms. We loved our giant soaking tub and our rain shower head. We woke up each morning to the most delicious breakfast (Cindy is an incredible cook!) at our individual couple table in the water front dining room. The breakfast was better than any meals we found in town during our stay. This B&B has beautifully kept multi level deck & patio (all river front) with three separate seating areas (with tables and chairs) and a walkway down to their private river front beach. We happily took advantage of the scenic outdoor living space with our private cheese and wine picnic (we took a short walk into downtown Leavenworth to pick up some great local cheeses and wines). I give my 100% recommendation to the River Haus in the Pines B&B and can’t wait to visit again on my next trip to Leavenworth.

This was our first stay with Mike and Cindy, but it will not be our last. We came home, checked the calendar and immediately made reservations for December and can't wait. The house is beautiful, the view is incredible, Mike and Cindy are so gracious and warm and Cindy is a FABULOUS cook! No detail is overlooked. We absolutely loved our time and can't wait for more. Go 3 clouds to the left, then make a slight right at the first star....these "heavenly" directions will point you directly to the PERFECT B&B, a heavenly experience right here on earth. There is really nothing that I could think of to improve this place - honestly - not one thing. This is without a doubt the best B&B we have ever stayed at, and believe me when I say that our standards are very high. We now make this a yearly destination. A warm welcome awaits you the minute you enter the front door. In our beautiful room the musical sounds of the river lulled our cares away. Add to that, the view of the river and surrounding hills as well as the soft linens and you know you have found a special place to relax. Cindy prepares breakfast with gourmet presentation that feeds your soul as well as nourishing your stomach. Mike and Cindy have prepared a place that is a marvelous testimony to the beauty of God's creation. Leavenworth was a short distance away from the door, but the relaxation of River Haus in the Pines held us captive. It was a great place to celebrate our anniversary.

This place is enchanting, close to town, relaxing, and just perfect. I would highly recommend it to anyone without reservation. The hosts are exceptionally hospitable, and each room is very private and quiet. I have visited Leavenworth all my life and this place will now be where I stay from now on.

This was our first night away from the kids in 7 years. Could not have asked for a better night. Cindy is a wonderful hostess, very personable. The room was well kept and clean. Falling asleep to the sound of a running river was great. Breakfast was delicious, and extremely fresh and tasty. We would return there, in a heartbeat. The River Haus was very welcoming and felt like home away from home. Every detail was beautiful and more than I expected. I was relaxed when I came home. The owners are so hospitable and flexible. As always, we had a great stay at River Haus in the Pines. Cindy was very understanding of our unexpected late arrival, and even offered to provide a later breakfast if we wanted it. Food was excellent as always, and I like have separate tables in the dining room - we can talk to other guests if we wish, or keep to ourselves if we prefer. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and you can't beat the view of the river or the fireworks. We will be back again!

Cindy and Mike are warm and gracious hosts that run a terrific B&B. The home is wonderfully constructed and new-looking is perched right on the Wenatchee River, with a fantastic view of the surrounding woods and mountains. Cindy cooked great breakfasts -- they were tasty and wonderfully varied. We loved our Icicle Creek Room and look forward to getting back to it soon!

My five day stay at the River Haus provided a tranquil, pristine and intimate connection with the river, the town and the people of Leavenworth. It was the perfect jumping off point for recreation as well as relaxation. Mike and Cindy go out of their way to make clients comfortable and offer full services.

River Haus is a perfect location to enjoy both the form of Leavenworth and the natural beauty of the surrounding area. It's set along the river with view of the mountains with pine trees--more magical then I can describe. The rooms are quite luxurious and the breakfast is very delicious. Very romantic.

Staying at River Haus in the Pines was almost like being in a make believe world the two days we were there. Lovely charming home that was tidy and clean in every inch. Mike and Cindy were such great hosts and made our stay great in every way. Such hospitable lovely people! The river view is tremendous and I know that view during all seasons is absolutely wonderful! The breakfast was excellent with very good coffee. Having good robust coffee brought up to our room early in the morning was a treat while we sat on our private balcony and enjoyed the scenery.

We stayed at River Haus for our 5 year anniversay and it was wonderful! Mike and Cindy, the owners, were welcoming, hospitable and so friendly. We loved their home and our room, which had a spectacular view! I recommend this B&B to everyone! You will not be disappointed!

Mike and Cindy were very warm and welcoming and the place was absolutely beautiful. Our first morning there I had not had a chance to tell them about my dietary restrictions but they more than made up for it in the next meals. Cindy is a fantastic cook, or Mike depending on what you are eating! The room was gorgeous and the bath is very inviting. While there they had a concert which was fantastic and a nice surprise. The view and beach are so stunning and we really had a nice time and would most certanly go back. And of course Cooper~Great dog!

My husband and I celebrated our 13th Anniversary at this delightful, beautiful, B & B. Innkeepers, Cindy & Mike made us feel welcome and attended to us with great hospitality and warmth. The room was beautifully decorated and very clean. The natural beauty of the surroundings was breathtaking. We enjoyed walking to nearby Leavenworth, and also relaxing at the river's edge. From our balcony, my husband watched an Osprey as it plucked a fish from the river. Our stay was relaxing and restful.

From the moment you walk in you know it's heaven. From a million thoughtful touches, to decor, food, to the view -- perfect.

We're Virginians who've stayed at quite a few B&Bs, but this is our all-time favorite. The inn and the rooms were wonderfully clean and comfortable We especially liked the sound of the river at night. The hosts are gracious and knowledgeable about many things, including the area. Breakfasts were spectacularly good. Cindy's dining recommendations were faultless. All in all, we could not have had a nicer stay, and we were loathe to leave after 3 days. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends and hope to return.

River Haus in the Pines is the best ever B & B we have stayed in. The view and sounds from our room required that we leave our door open. The host and hostess were gracious beyond belief. Breakfast was gourmet. The host pointed me to a walk along the irrigation canal that took me through the woods filled with wild flowers with views of the valley and mountains. To add to our enjoyment was great Italian food and gelatto in Leavenworth. We shall return! Bob and Hope Puyallup, WA

This B&B is in a perfect location, just steps from the Wenatchee River. The mountains soar overhead in all directions. And, Leavenworth is only a quick 1 mile walk away. The home is a beautiful newer country-style house with all the modern conveniences. This B&B is highly recommended!

This is our second trip back to the River Haus in the Pines -- and it did not disappoint! The owners -- Mike and Cindy -- are warm and caring, generous and welcoming. Cindy is a phenomenal cook and the breakfasts are gourmet and filling. Mike was out in the driveway both mornings clearing snow off our car before we set out for the day. The view is breathtaking and the rooms are perfect to set the mood for relaxation and romance.

We have stayed at this B&B six times over the last 2 1/2 years. All visits have been outstanding with wonderful breakfasts. Mike and Cindy put their hearts into making each guest feel special and doing their utmost to making their guests' experience one to be treasured! Highly recommended!

My husband and I wanted to get away for a weekend, and were super blessed to get a room at River Haus in the Pines during Oktoberfest. We enjoyed the gorgeous home right on the river, most comfortable king-sized bed EVER, some amazing breakfasts, and all within walking distance to downtown Leavenworth.

Mike & Cindy have created a place to getaway that feels like home. They have thought of every last detail, cozy blankets, heated floors in the bathroom, coffee outside your room in the morning, chocolates by your bed, and to top it off the most delicious breakfasts.

The River Haus is stunning. The rooms were spacious and warm, and the views were exceptional. Mike and Cindy were very nice, and very accommodating. Cindy tracked us down a masseuse and had great recommendations for places to see and trips to take. We stayed for 3 days and could not have had a better time.

My wife was in the middle of breast cancer treatments and we had 3 days off and needed a place to just relax and kick back. River Haus in the Pines provided that escape. From the wonderful room to the deck overlooking and "over listening" the rushing Wenatchee River, our two nights were just what the doctor ordered!

This wonderfull bed and breakfast is a great place to relax, celebrate, vacation or simply enjoy a weekend. It turns an ordinary stay into a magical vacation. This is acheived through incredibly beautiful and clean accomidations, delicious elaborate breakfasts, gorgeous scenery, and finishing touches such as, bedside chocolates, bubble baths, and heart shaped pillows. Cindy and mark are also kind and go above and beyond, thank you for the perfect weekend.

This "surprise gift" to my husband was delightful to both of us. River halls is a beautifully designed property that offers amazing river and mountain views. The room accomodations and attentive service given by Mike and Cindy is comparable to a luxury hotel. This place is a must!
