A weekend geta away

3.4 on December 18, 2014

We enjoyed the peacefulness of Pine River Ranch, after a long celebration in the town of Leavenworth with all the bustles of the Lichterfest and people attending it. We were looking forward to come to the Ranch our Home away from Home cozy with the comfortable atmosphere it provided during our stay.

Perfect place for a romantic getaway!

5 on December 10, 2014

My husband and I stayed at the Pine River Ranch when visiting Leavenworth for the holiday lighting festival. The grounds were beautiful, the staff was friendly & helpful, the rooms were absolutely perfect down to every last detail, and the food was AMAZING! We have always stayed in town when visiting before, but from the moment we arrived we knew we would never stay anywhere else when coming to Leavenworth again! The staff was polite & helpful, telling us all about the grounds and room, and offering tips & details on enjoying the festival. The grounds were quiet, peaceful, and gorgeous, and we had a lot of fun exploring them. The private cabin we stayed in was fantastic - every detail was in place for a perfectly romantic getaway! The bed was comfortable and the tub was cozy and a great place to soak & relax after a long day of shopping and exploring the town! Waking up each morning to the quiet, snowy view and the BEST breakfast delivered to the cabin porch was just perfect. The first morning we enjoyed a banana & peanut butter stuffed french toast with sausage, hash browns & fruit. Seriously, my husband hasn't stopped talking about that breakfast! The next morning we enjoyed a tasty breakfast casserole and the same wonderful hash browns, which was lucky, because after the first morning, my husband said he would be so disappointed if he didn't get to eat more of the potatoes before we left, because they were so good! This place exceeded all of our hopes and expectations! Before we drove away, we were already planning to reserve the cabin for next year!

Very goood, but....

I have stayed here several times and have loved it every time, including this time. The staff is friendly, always helpful, the grounds and rooms are spacious and beautiful, and they offer awesome amenities that make your stay worth-while. However I was not as impressed with the condition of the room as I have in previous visits. Although the room was clean, it was not well maintained. I am not sure if there are new owners/cleaners/management/etc but here is what I saw that I did not expect to see in my room: paint touch-ups done in a different shade of paint than what was on the wall, chipped paint on the counter tops, no hair dryer but the plastic wall mount piece was still where it should have been, dry wall in the toilet area had been poorly patched where the old paper holder was but not painted over, the soap dish mounted to the wall was about to fall off, the light shades on the bedside tables were so old and discolored that the plastic was starting to crack off in pieces. None of these are huge problems, they just weren't what I expected to see at such a top rated B&B that I had been to before. I loved my stay and will definitely go back again, but I have to call it like I see it; whoever is in charge of maintenance is slacking.

Cozy B&B nestled into the Cascades

We were pleasantly surprised when we pulled into Pine River Ranch over our Thanksgiving weekend stay. The grounds were lovely and covered in freshly fallen snow. There is an old barn next to the main home that was open to explore. It is now used for weddings and was beautiful inside! Our room was also better than we expected, complete with a jacuzzi, Christmas tree, half-size kitchen, movies and snacks, plush bathrobes, a fireplace, and a great view of the frosty creek outside. It was romantic, clean and cozy and we'd recommend the place to any of our friends!

1st anniversary retreat

My wife and I had a wonderful time here, its a little ways away (20ish min) from Leavenworth but much nicer then anything you can find in town. The grounds are amazing and worth taking a walk around. We were warmly greeted by owners David & Rachel and told our room had a broken fireplace but they happily showed us another room which we took. David was extremely friendly and explained everything perfectly. The morning food was wonderful and nice that it was served directly to the room. It's very private in the rooms and quiet all around. You can't satisfy everyone and people who nitpick and complain that the TV is too far away from the bed and that their is space heaters need to grow up and understand its not a hotel and not your bedroom at home either. We loved it, thanks David & Rachel.

Do not waste your money

The owners were not there when we checked in, they had phoned us that afternoon and given directions on where to park and how to access the room.  Pros: -Delicious breakfast -Beautiful grounds -Private rooms -Fruit and cheese plate -Disc Golf and horse shoes Cons: -No welcome packet in ur room explaining when breakfast or checkout time is or anything about the grounds/main house. We were on our own -Fireplace did not work. They had not been cleaned yet for the season (this was Nov) or there was something wrong with our pilot light (depending on who you ask) -Jacuzzi tub would've  have been great if there was enough hot water to fill the tub more than a third of the way (given the excuse at checkout that the room next door must have been trying to take a bath at the same time) -Heating is space heaters (play the popular find the circuit breakers game because the owners don't return you calls when the heaters blow a fuse) -Owners never made an effort to introduce themselves and give the attention to detail that B&B's are known for -Mini fridge froze all the food we brought  -TV would be great if you could see it from the bed but instead of being mounted on the wall it is on a low TV stand with the foot board completely blocking your view -Advertised Wifi only works at the main house, not in your room

Our 25th Anniversary

We had such an incredible time! We are both so.busy and being able to get away from phones, internet and back to a slower pace was wonderful. If you add in the INCREDIBLE breakfast every morning and the rafting trip, I can't say enough. The hosts were welcoming, friendly, and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this not only to my Military Friends, but Everyone! Can't wait to come back and try another sweet, hopefully this time we will see more of the grounds!

Romantic Birthday Getaway

My parents bought my husband and I two nights at the Pine River Ranch for our birthdays and it was wonderful. Quiet and so restful. Breakfast was amazing! Will definitely be returning.

Great B&B!

We arrived and the place was clean and ready for us. Breakfast was prompt and really good. Lots of fresh fruit which was nice. The host was extremely pleasent and made sure we had everything we needed. He made sure we had plenty of stuff to do with hiking suggestions, showed a an eagles nest, etc. I would stay there again no questions asked.

Great once again
