An excellent value very close to the Hoh Rainforest. This is our first time staying at a B&B, so we have nothing to compare it to, but we really enjoyed our stay. For about half what we would have paid just for a room in Seattle, we had a room, breakfast, pastries, and access to the common areas, hot tub, and grounds. Our host was friendly and helpful. Breakfast time was a little looser than we expected, but we were in no hurry and were happy to wait for an excellent meal.

We have been staying at The Misty Valley Inn annually for about five years. The welcome, food, service and conversation is always warm and comforting. Every time we are there we don't ever want to leave.

We enjoyed the wonderful hospitality, great breakfasts and views from our room which was facing the fabulous Olympic Forest.

What a surprise! Welcomed at the door by the innkeeper for a stay we won't forget. She serves a breakfast that's world class. She pointed us in all the right directions to see the Olympic Peninsula in the time we had.

If you are looking for a top notch bed & breakfast, you have found it! Rachael greeted us with open arms and treated us to a wonderful dessert buffet. Afterwards we soaked in the hot tub overlooking a beautiful forest grove and then to sleep in soft, luxurious bedding. Since no alarm clocks are allowed at the inn, morning came with a gentle knock and hot beverages and accompaniments. Breakfast takes it over the top as Rachael presents marvelous made to order delights. We definitely will be back – again & again. Hope to meet you there!

This was our second time at this lovely B&B and we will continue to plan times for staying again. The rooms are just lovely. We've been in the Dutch Room and this time in the Irish Room. The family, cooks, housekeeping, etc., were so friendly and helpful. And the food has always been outstanding as well. Wish we could have stayed as many mornings as there were breakfast categories! Recommended highly!

We had a great stay at Misty Valley Inn. This place surpassed our expectations.

This B&B is truly a gem, not only is the setting beautiful and quiet, the food served by the owners is not your run of the mill food. in the morning you're greeted with a breakfast tray beautifully arranged with coffee or tea in beautiful china with delightful accoutrements that you've chosen the night before, breakfast is made to order. I would definitely recommend this B&B.

Misty Valley Inn was absolutely wonderful. Rachel and her husband are some of the most welcoming and warm people I've ever met. Rachel is a phenomenal host with exceptional attention to detail. They both take great pride in their B&B, and rightfully so. The rooms are immaculately clean with super soft beds and linens. Rachel's breakfasts are to die for! I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else while visiting the area.

Every nice review you've read about this place is completely accurate! We had a really, really nice stay and will definitely be back. We had an opportunity to try each of the featured main courses for breakfast and the omelette and the berry pancakes rate highest on our list. The spiced fruit is absolutely delicious, and Mrs. Bennett's muffins and cobblestones (yeasty, tasty roll) are AMAZING. The view is spectacular - classic misty northwest view over a valley seen from the deck, dining room and hot tub. All the rooms are completely charming - and recently redecorated so some are a little different than what you see on the website. Every morning right before breakfast the birds are fed out on the deck so you get a little show with your breakfast. Having breakfast any time you like in the morning was a marvelous detail, as is the beverage tray that greets you at the hour of your choosing in the morning - very relaxing. The hosts are charming and welcoming and there's never an awkward moment - they have just the right combination of friendly and available while also giving you plenty of space to enjoy being there without any interruptions. This B and B will redefine your expectations for what a stay at a B and B should be like!

We wanted to get away for just one night and Misty Valley Inn was the perfect place. Coffee in bed, delicious meal, hot tub. The room was absolutely enchanting. Stunning view. absolutely lovely place.

Stayed here for just one night and wished we could have stayed longer. It was our first stay at a B&B and if all of them are like this, we have really been missing out. Rachel is a wonderful host. She loves to prepare meals and the breakfast was truly unique and delicious. The rooms are all recently remodeled and very nicely done. All kinds of books on the Olympic Peninsula, nice sitting rooms, a beautiful view. We will definitely return on our next trip to the area.

We wanted a place to stay close to the Hoh rain forest and the beaches and this B&B location was perfect. Our room had a lovely view and amenities like bathrobes and even flip flops to use at the hot tub which was very nice. The service and information provided on the surrounding area was most helpful. The breakfast was delicious, very hearty and we were given a choice of different options. Recommend this B&B highly.

We just went to the Misty Inn on our honeymoon while exploring Olympic National Park. We absolutely loved it. This is our first time at a B&B. The food was great, 24 hour hot tub was great after a walk on the rainy beach, and the birds were frollicing for us outside of the windows. We saw a beautiful varied thrush outside the window along with all the jays, juncos, chickadees and squirrels. Fantastic evening and morning. Thank you

This bed and breakfast is truly a delightful place to stay in. It has nice rooms and facilities, a lovely garden and hot tub deck and an amazing view to the valley and hills behind it. We normally never post reviews but the hostess Rachel is such an extraordinary kind, friendly and professional person that I just had to share our experience. She obviously loves what she does and will make you feel welcome and comfortable the moment you walk through the door. She has a fantastic variety of choices for breakfast and she cooks everything herself. Everything is 100% home made and simply delicious! You can taste Rachel's passion for her job in her cooking!!! All in all, we completely and absolutely recommend visiting this bed and breakfast and let yourself be pampered by this wonderful lady! Mariana & Vincent

We have been married almost a year now, and this was our first Valentines getaway as a married couple. We could not have picked a better place! Rachel and Jim were absolutely wonderful, they made the weekend perfect! Between their outstanding food, hospitality and gorgeous home, we were in a second heaven! There are so many little things that we just loved about the place. It is so much more than a bed and breakfast, This place was more like a second home! We will absolutely be returning every chance we get! They really helped our Valentines getaway be something much more than special. Thank you again Rachel and Jim for a WONDERFUL weekend, we look forward to seeing you guys again soon! -Ben & Amanda Clapp

My husband and I loved our stay at the Misty Valley Inn. Service was wonderful and the food was incredible. They taught us a new game to play and even invited us to their Superbowl party, snacks and dinner included! The view during breakfast is wonderful and great for birdwatching as well. Highly recommend this B&B. Would definitely stay there again!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Misty Valley for two nights while exploring Olympic National Park. It was amazing! There were plenty of books to read in the common area, as well as a TV and a hot tub outside! The food was amazing, and when we couldn't finish it all, she packed it up for us to take on our hike! We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area,

When you plan a romantic getaway you don't want any hiccups to spoil the mood so everything has to go perfect. At Misty Valley Inn it did. This was our first stay at a B&B and we were a little worried that a B&B was only for older couples who want to get away, this inn is perfect for every couple. They have a huge flat screen television with tons of channels in one of the common areas, games in the living area for anyone to play, and an unlimited supply of the most tasty homemade sweets. We stayed up kind of late but that was not an issue, even the hot tub was available 24 hours! And the lay out of the house is such that you don't even hear the people in the common areas because they are on the other side of the house. The breakfast was amazing as well. I loved that we picked the time and what kind of breakfast we wanted. We were so full even though I wanted to eat so much more, but Rachel the owner, gave us some to go too! It was really tasty during our hike in the rain forest. Misty Valley Inn broke all my preconceived stereotypes of B&Bs, I am not sure that I will ever stay in a hotel again if all B&Bs are like this!

We received a night at this B&B as a gift and it truly was amazing. The location is so quiet and peaceful. We had the dutch room with its own balcony that overlooked the valley. In the morning we got to watch the the sunrise from our room which was beautiful. Our host Rachel was warm, caring and great to visit with. Her cooking was fantastic we had the french toast for breakfast and scones with fresh jams. My husband and I are definitely going back but next time for a longer visit. Thank You Rachel and Jim for making our stay so relaxing. Jim and Terri Lacey, Wa

Rooms were very nice and cozy with a remodelled bathroom. Every convenience was provided. The food was absolutely scrumptious!! And Rachel and Jim were warm and delightful hosts. They laughed at my husband's jokes and were extremely welcoming. We will recommend this B&B to our friends and will come back, again.

After seeing a picture of the pancakes in Seattle Met magazine, I knew had to book a stay at Misty Valley Inn. And after a tiring hike along the coast, my friend and I were looking forward to warm place to stay. Even though the Inn is along Hwy 101, Misty Valley Inn feels hidden and insulated. At other B&Bs, some proprietors can be standoffish and can make you feel like you're invading their homes. Rachel and Jim are the exact opposite. They are incredibly warm and inviting. Rachel can even make dietary accommodations since I can't eat anything with dairy. When my friend and I arrived, Rachel had just finished baking brownies, peanut butter cookies, and lemon bars, so house smelled so good! We ended up staying in the Dutch room. It was incredibly comfortable and when we woke up, we had a beautiful view of the valley with fog rolling in with a cup of rich hot chocolate. For breakfast, I had a light and creamy apple souffle and poached peaches. It was outstanding! Rachel is wonderful cook and baker! And as we checked out, she even gave us some of her recipes for muffins and scones! So if you get the opportunity to visit the Coast, stay at the Misty Valley Inn in Forks!

Wonderfully welcoming, comfy quiet rooms, beyond delicious food. The attention to details (ie fresh flowers, theme room decor) is extraordinary. Highly recommended!

Our two day stay at Misty Inn was such a delightful way to get away from it all. Upon first entering the beautiful home and being greeted with a loving smile from Rachel and Jim with their two four-legged family Mya and Jax you knew you were home. Being shown to our room which had a beautifully decorated for the holidays with a view of their beautiful backyard with trees everywhere. Rachel then takes your order(s) for breakfast which sound delicious, but when sitting down for breakfast they were even more then that. Tastefully done with natural ingredientds and wonderful flavors you would die for. After wonderful sittdowns with other guests visiting you were made to be comfortable and Rachel and Jim went above and beyond. It was very difficult to have to leave after being treated so superbly, but we will be back. Brenda & Rick Knoche, Lake Placid, Fla.

We stayed at Misty Valley Inn for one night on November 25. The owners were away and the property was being managed by a caretaker. Even though our check-in time said 4:30pm, there was no one there when we reached. We had to wait 20-25 minutes for the caretaker to arrive. That evening she took our breakfast order. Next day she woke us up at 6:30am to say that she won't be able to provide us breakfast since her daughter was sick and she would be taking her to the hospital by 8am. We were a little confused. We were told that a cook would come to prepare the breakfast. He never showed up even though we waited till 9:00 am. The caretaker was also there till 9am and hadn't gone to the hospital. We just left at 9am without eating since we wanted to get an early start on our hiking. True they refunded us $30 but this is not an experience I would like to repeat in a bed and breakfast!

Our stay in Forks was made all the better by this B&B. The owner is adorable, and snacking on her baked goods is a delightful way to end each evening. The rooms are very well decorated, the beds are comfy, and guests have the run of the first floor, so the whole place feels very homey. They made excellent recommendations about places to visit and helped us make the most of our little get-away.

1st time that we stayed at B&B place, and it was a wonderful experience. Rachel and Jim are so friendly and very welcoming. The room that we reserved was the cheapest one since we don't know what to expect but Rachel gave us the Dutch Room( most expensive one) which have the most romantic and incredible view for same $$$ . And the FOOD was so good. Eating scones will never be the same again after having Rachel's scones. Yummy!!!

Lovely setting, very nicely appointed rooms and comfortable common areas. We had the room with direct access to the deck, which provides a beautiful view. The food was delicious, but, as with most B&Bs, there was too much emphasis on sweets and large portions. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating when we needed to leave early one day. The owners left on holiday during our stay and there was some confusion over information given to us and instructions left with staff, but this was no doubt a simple miscommunication. Definitely a place I would return to.

I love every minute detail of this place, from the dozen blue jays eating on the porch as we ate breakfast to the exquisite breakfast and attention to detail in the room.

The Misty Valley Inn is a great little B&B. It is perfectly located on the western side of Olympic National Park, just down the road from Forks and within 15 miles of several picturesque beaches. You can also visit Hoh rainforest with a quick half hour drive south. The property has amazing views, it's very peaceful and quiet and the breakfasts were out of this world. There is Wifi and TV, but the television is in a common room. Definitely a find in this less traveled area, and if you don't want to stay in a motel setting in downtown Forks.

Wanted to love this b&b but too many details were missed including an unprepared room upon arrival, a less than acceptable reception, soiled bed linen and no variety on the afternoon/evening dessert buffet. The up side, the room and private bath were spacious and the breakfast was huge and tasty, though it would have been nice to have a different fruit each day instead of the same both days. If those details could be remedied Misty Valley Inn would be exceptional.

Traveling through , we spent the evening in Forks. Maybe because the Twilight series doesn't even blip on our radar we just spent the night. We are not BB folks and probable wont be in the future, but this was a beautiful spread. Clean rooms, nice service and a good breakfast. Eating with strangers seems more for extroverted people which we are not.

My friend and I were looking to have a great time in Forks for a Twilight experience and were so lucky to find this place. It made our experience truly a once in a lifetime deal!! It was like being at home. We felt so welcomed and safe. The room was so clean and the food was extraordinary!!! We would highly recommend staying here! I want to come back with my husband for a weekend getaway! I can't wait!

My fiancée and I stayed here as for a quick get away out of Seattle. The staff was excellent, very pleasant and informative. We stayed in the English Room. It was extremely clean, very cute and had a big bathroom with double sinks and a huge shower. I'd highly recommend that room, even though it's not the biggest. The food was quite good, all be it, mostly sweets. When we arrived, there was hot coffee and tea as well as cake and brownies for us to nibble on, if we wanted to. The breakfast was decadent but also a ton of sugar. There was only one thing on the menu that had any protein in it. If anything, I'd want them to offer more filling breakfasts. Overall, it was an excellent stay. I highly recommend this B&B and would go back again!

I am not one to stay at B&B's since I am quite private. This Inn might change my mind in the future. Jim & Rachel were very warm and caring. Even had an ice pack to soothe the back, after hiking up Marymere Falls. We got a pizza from town and ate outside on their beautiful misty terrace. It was a wonderful experience.
2.6 on October 16, 2013
Maybe because of my previous wonderful experiences with other B&B, I was a little disappointed with the breakfast menus & the way it was served at this one. We chose to stay at B&B for 1 main reason.."meeting travelers at breakfast table" , and it was not happening at this place due to the fact that we were being offered to dine at our own time frame & not everyone wants to sit down at the same time. Breakfast was hearty but lack the originality.
4.6 on October 15, 2013
The Misty Valley Inn is set back off the main road in a very quiet area overlooking a beautiful and serene valley. The breakfasts were delicious as well as the afternoon desserts. My only complaint was the snorer next door to us the first night. The room was quite comfortable but the bathroom was a bit small for two people. However, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. It's a great gateway to Olympic National Park and some beautiful beaches.
3.6 on October 13, 2013
The weather was terrible but the Inn was lovely. We particularly enjoyed the delicious breakfasts and the blue jays outside enjoying their breakfast too. The room was very nice though the blankets kept sliding off the bed. I would recommend staying here to anyone who asks.
4.6 on October 02, 2013
Jim and Rachel were very gracious and thorough. Far and away exceeded what I though was available in Forks on the budget we had. Either be very hungry for breakfast or ask for half portions; the dishes surpassed anything you could find in a restaurant.

Forks itself does not have much to commend it but the Misty Valley Inn provides a wonderful stopover if you are touring the Olympic Penisular. We stayed in the Irish room which was beatifully decorated and very clean. Breakfast was served at a time to suit us (rather than suit the owner) and the food that was served was of really high quality and in more than ample proportions. Our wecome upon arrival was very warm and we were immediately offered tea and brownies. We then sat and watched the local chipmunks and blue jays eating a few feet away from where we were sitting. Altogether, a wonderful setting with lovely rooms and excellent food

Misty Inn is a breath of fresh air in the world of B & B's! Rachael greeted us at the door, offered us a buffet of hot beverages and sweet fresh baked delights and then gave us the grand tour. Everything was at our disposal - the hot tub, family room with tv, reading room, dining room, and patio. In the morning our wake-up call included the hot beverage of our choice, so two mornings in a row we heard a light tap at our door, opened it and were treated to steaming hot cocoa topped with real whipped cream. We were able to set our own wake up time, breakfast time, and given a choice of five main entrees for our breakfast. The food was artistically presented and a culinary delight. Rachael had entertaining stories and great information about the local area. We give it five stars all the way. Wish we lived closer to enjoy it more often! Shirley and Mark Vogt, Red Bud, Illinois

Jim and Rachael are exceptional at paying attention to detail and your comfort. They are there immediately there to meet your needs including escorting you to your car with umbrellas. Our bed was graced with a lovely heart of rose petals for our Anniversary and our drinks in the morning were graced with a fresh rose and the weather report for the day on a beautiful hand made card. The hot tub is available 24 hours a day with robes, flip flops and a lantern that does not attract bugs. When you order your individual breakfast it is served with surprises and exactly what you ordered. No alarm clocks are aloud as they wake you up with a gentle knock on your door and you decide when that is as well as when you will eat. Of course the atmosphere is also graced with quite music in the background. There are many more "little things" but why ruin the surprise. Enjoy your stay...it is hard not to!

I recently concluded a 10 day tour around Washington state with my boyfriend, to do some hiking and other outdoor activities. I was a bit concerned once we realized that Forks (home of the Misty Valley Inn) was the filming location for the Twilight series, and expected tourism galore. Instead, we found a comfortable and casual bed and breakfast, which was wonderful to return to after a day of sweating outdoors. The rooms were great and not overly frilly, and I just about melted into the bed! Breakfast. Was. Amazing. The owner really likes what she does, and it shows. We spent our breakfast talking with the other guests, and even had some tea and played the piano. All in all a great experience, definitely recommended.

Warm, caring, comfortable! Misty Valley's host/ hostess cared greatly that we enjoyed our experience with them. Their attention to details to our needs was impressive. They and their availability of information for our visit to the Olympic Peninsula and surrounding area to be positive was so helpful. Our room was great with everything we needed and hot coffee (tea or hot chocolate) as we awoke. Oh! And breakfast! Oh my, just wait for a real treat...! Each choice is a culinary delight. You will love Misty Valley!

Our bed was so comfortable and the hosts were very accommodating with our arrival time. The breakfasts are absolutely delicious but very sweet - no fresh fruit to be found - but I don't think most will mind. Adorable host dog and great gardens. The morning view is everything you could hope for from a B&B named Misty Valley. One recommendation though is that the hosts need to provide coasters for their lovely wood furniture. None to be found and didn't want to set drinks anywhere. Still a great place!
4.8 on September 20, 2013
The breakfast, quality of service and views parallel world class resorts. The bed was not only well appointed but also very comfortable. Attention to detail is apparent throughout. There is a sitting room, small library of books, a TV room and a deck that looks over an expansive misty treed valley. The bird feeders on the deck kept us enthralled with visiting Jays, finch, chipmunks, squirrels... The English room was very comfortable but moderate in size and the bathroom was on the small size. There was a floral smell that was not to our taste but we would return in a heartbeat.

I can say, without hesitation, that this was the best B&B that we've ever stayed in! Situated in beautiful surroundings, the gardens were absolutely beautiful, the house was very comfortable and nice, the hosts were amazingly friendly and seemed genuinely excited to have us stay there, and the breakfast, wow! The food was out of this world! I would highly recommend this B&B to anybody travelling through the area and would definitely stay there again if I ever return to the area!

Relaxing setting, Wakeup tray (coffee and hot chocolate) delivered to our room at requested time complete with fresh rose and card with weather, tidal and sunset info. Had delicious gourmet breakfasts (large portions) in dining room watching the bird feeders and the mist rise above the valley of evergreens. During our stay, we selected Irish waffles, Strawberry crepes and Moroccan omelet. All were outstanding. The Innkeepers and staff were pleasant, friendly and informative without hovering. We would love to stay here again

We were greeted at the door and given the grand tour. Rachel offered us dessert and sat down to recite our breakfast options. The place was midcentury modern- a bit outdated... but OPULENT nonetheless. We plan to stay again in the future for sure. Spotlessly clean. Comfy bed. Outrageously huge and yummy breakfast- and very accommodating to our dietary needs. Gorgeous property. You'll not want to miss the misty mountain mornings and stellar blue jays!! Thanks again to Rachel for making us feel right at home. She truly has the gift of hospitality!!!

The Misty Valley Inn is a beautiful place and Rachel and Jim are excellent hosts that will make you feel more than welcome. The only negative comment i have is the meadow behinsd their inn has been planted with trees so the local elk heard, although still around, isn't as easily viewable. If you have the opportunity to visit the Misty Valley Inn, you will definately not regret it!

My wife and I were traveling around the Olympic Peninsula on our honeymoon. One of our days was the Hoh Rainforest and Rialto Beach. We didn't want to drive all the way back to Port Angeles after a day of hiking, so we decided to stay in the Forks vicinity instead. Despite Forks being "famous" now, it is pretty much a sleepy little town with a handful of restaurants, strip centers, gas stations, and run down shops. So, I'm glad we opted for a stay at Misty Valley as opposed to "in town." Misty Valley Inn really is set in a beautiful valley with an amazing view off the rear of the house. We stayed in the Dutch Room, which had a great view. We got to see a herd of elk walk by in the morning, and there were tons of birds and squirrels too. The wildlife was very entertaining and was definitely one of the high points of the stay. The breakfast was also very good and very filling. The hosts give you several menu selections the night before so you know what you are getting, which is nice. I would say the negatives of Misty Valley Inn are: 1) No TV in the room. If you want TV, you have to go to the common living room. 2) Creepy doll and "faery" decor- the Dutch room had some weird wood shoes and "faery" decorations, which are apparently Dutch. 3) 70's vibe in architecture and furnishings. The house and decor are all a bit dated. 4) Rooms are on a common hall and not very soundproof. Not the best choice for a honeymoon if you understand me. 5) I hate to say it, but the place had a weird smell. I'm not usually sensitive to things like that, but my wife and I both noticed it. Kind of a musty, damp smell. With all the rain, maybe they just need to wash all the comforters, upholstery, and carpet or something. Or light some candles. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Misty Valley and would recommend it for a night's stay near Forks. It's just not as romantic and "cute" as some of the better B&B's I've stayed at. Happy travels!

We spent two evenings on the beautiful back porch overlooking a pine grove and watching the moon rise. It was so relaxing and beautiful. We even saw one elk! Jim & Rachel were welcoming; and of course Rachel's breakfast was fantastic. In fact, we had to leave by 6 AM the second morning to catch a ferry (a good 2 hr drive) and Rachel left a bag in the fridge with more than enough snacks and fresh baked muffins for 2 days! Overall this was a wonderful stay and highly recommended.

Misty Valley Inn is a perfect blend of homey comfort and elegant 5-star food and service. I even got some great baking tips and an omelette lesson in the kitchen. Did I mention Rachel's baked goods? Weightless scones, gorgeous cakes, and brownies to die for. We left for our hiking adventures each day so full that we barely had to eat the rest of the day. We went feeling like it was an indulgent splurge, and left feeling like we couldn't have gotten better bang for our buck.

We stayed only one night as we were passing through Forks and would liked to have stayed longer at the Inn. The room was clean although not overly large. On the other hand, the bathroom was spacious. Breakfast was very good and we could order from a selection of meals and juices. We ate outside to take advantage of the morning view and the birds and squirrels. My wife and I would definitely stay here again.

Jim and Rachel are dedicated to providing great service and a memorable experience. They worked late into the night to prepare for the morning's breakfasts. Tea was delivered to our door with a wake-up knock at the time we requested, then breakfast was ready for us when we arrived at the table, again at the time we requested. The setting is peaceful and comfortable, even better than home. The hosts provided helpful information about the area. The attention to detail was impressive and not intrusive. We would stay there again.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Misty Valley Inn for a night in Forks, to see some of the Pacific Coast areas. The property is lovely, and Rachel is a very gracious host. She welcomed us into the house and walked us through the area restaurants and took our breakfast order. That evening, we went out to a local pizza place, came back and enjoyed the hot tub on the back deck, and hung out in her living room with her guests while she and friends were preparing their dinner. I have rarely stayed at a B&B where the owner hangs out with you - it was very nice. In the morning, she brings you coffee, tea or hot chocolate to your room on a tray, before your breakfast. This is a very nice touch. Then your breakfast if one of 6 scrumptious things - pancakes, irish waffles, an omelet, and several others I can't remember. The rooms are also very lovely - we had the smallest one as that was the only one left (we booked last minute), but still enjoyed it. I would highly recommend staying at the Misty Valley Inn. It is a lovely place with a great host!

Misty Valley inn is a beautiful little place on the outskirts of Forks, in the middle of a lovely forest. The rooms were large and comfortable, with excellent amenities. The food at this B&B was amazing! I particularly enjoyed the dessert bar which is always open.

Memorable breakfasts and great hospitality - a wonderful place to stay. Would happily stay again and again.

Having stayed in several B&B's all over the country, Rachel has now even convinced my cowboy-horseback riding husband that not all B&B's are the same - he had a particularly bad experience with one last year in Florida. But Rachel took extra special care to be sure he had coffee (and his own big coffee mug!) in her kitchen at 4:45am the next morning as he was accustomed to at home. That gesture alone gave me hope that he'll continue to accompany me to more B&B's along the way in our future vacation spots. (And after our 38 years of marriage, that's quite an impressive feat for her to accomplish!) Perfection on every level. Thank you so very much, Rachel! S. and R. Coe Kyle, TX

Very beautiful grounds with bountiful flowers and a "rainforest" type setup one end of the house. Beautiful view from the backyard and from the large deck. Had a wonderful time playing games with the host's charming young daughter. The food and home baked snacks fantastic. Wish we could stay longer.
5 on August 20, 2013
If we had known how wonderful this place was we would have stayed there the 5 days we were exploring the national park and the Olympic peninsula. When we arrived Jim and Rachel asked for our individual choices of the 6 gourmet breakfast selections as well what coffee and pastry we wanted on our "wake-up" tray, delivered at whatever time we requested in the morning to our door. The room and bath were fantastic, very comfortable, very quiet. The house is spectacular, wonderful patio deck. The view from the deck was gorgeous, flower gardens everywhere. Rachel and Jim were very friendly and made us feel at home.

Excellent place to stay, a little outside of Forks, at résonnable distance from Rialto, beaches nr 1 to 3 and thé rest of Olympic park as well. Good breakfast with birds and squirrels in thé background.

We stayed at Misty Valley Inn for two nights and it was a wonderful experience. Rachel, our host, welcomed us with great enthusiasm and gave us a lot of recommendations regarding where to visit and eat. We stayed in the English Room the first night and enjoyed the beautiful valley view on our private patio. The second night, we stayed in the Irish room, which is smaller but cute. Both rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Although we read wonderful reviews about the breakfast before we came, we were still surprised at how delicious the food was! It was truly beyond our expectation. Overall, it was a wonderful experience staying at Misty Valley Inn. We will definitely stay there again when we visit Olympic NP again.

The location was very convenient for our plans in the Olympic National Forest. The hosts went above and beyond expectations in their warmth and helpfulness in every detail of our stay. Breakfast was very ample and delicious as were the homemade afternoon treats. A deck with a view of their lovely garden and the mountains felt great after a day's hiking as did a soak in the outdoor spa.

Racheal and Jim where great hosts and made our stay very pleasent. The bed was very comfortable, the room clean, and the breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning the next time we are in the area.

We really enjoyed are stay at Misty Valley for many reasons: 1. The owners were so warm and couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. 2. Our breakfast was outstanding, and the evening desserts were delicious and homemade. 3. The grounds and setting of this home had beautiful gardens and flowers everywhere. There was a view of the forest outside the dinning room window. I could not keep my eyes from looking outside to the trees, animals and birds eating out of the animal feeder on the deck. 4. It was very relaxing and comfortable. The only negatives I have, is our room was on the small side, and there was a sliding door to the bathroom that did not close properly, and it made a lot of noise when you did try to close it. Other than the above we loved Misty Valley, Rachel, and her fabulous cooking! KG from Southern California

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Misty Valley Inn and would definitely come back. The owners of the inn are extremely hospitable and made us feel at home. We had full access to the house, but spent most of our time relaxing in our room and enjoying the nice view from the balcony. If you are the bed and breakfast type, you will enjoy this place!

The Bennett's made us feel right at home. A great location for exploring the Rain Forests and Coastline of Olympic National Park. The generous breakfast was just what we needed for fueling our daily hikes into this beautiful part of the Olympic Peninsula.
5 on August 02, 2013
It's a jewel hidden away near the entrance to the Hoh Olympic Rain Forest. You couldn't find a better place to stay. Great view of the top of the Rain Forest complete with the mist. Animals come right up to the porch to eat. And the breakfast can carry you throughout the day. Whoever heard of a B&B that serves 3 different amazing breakfasts....all at the same time? The people and happy and friendly and the cook is actually a dietitian! Beautiful old world charm. Gourmet kitchen. Looks almost like a cabin from the outside, but is amazing on the inside. You won't be disappointed.
4.8 on August 01, 2013
Our one night stay in the Dutch room was very enjoyable. If you like desserts you'll love this B&B and even if you don't there's plenty of other reasons to stay here as Misty Valley Inn is a very relaxing place with beautiful gardens and friendly hosts. It was a challenge to find somewhere to eat in Forks but at least we had a wonderful breakfast at Misty Valley Inn!
5 on July 31, 2013
This being our first time at a B&B, we were a little nervous. We didn't need to be. Rachel made us comfortable from the beginning, We didn't see much of Jim but when we did, he was very pleasant. Our room, The irish Room, was clean and very cozy and comfortable. Rachel gave us tips on where to see the sunset from the beach, another first for us. Breakfast was amazing. The only problem was making a choice. We definitely recommend the Misty Valley Inn.
5 on July 31, 2013
The location is lovely, the rooms great and the breakfast is incredible! They wake you at the time you choose with a tray with tea, coffee or hit chocolate. On that tray is a hand made card with details of the weather and tides for that day. We loved our stay here!!
5 on July 31, 2013
The best place we stayed in it in 20 years. We stayed in various locations throughout Europe and the USA and we had a pleasant place gives a feeling of home with the luxury of a 5 star hotel like this. Additionally and more of everything wonderful hosts who do everything to please your stay.
5 on July 29, 2013
Our stay was one of the best B&B experiences we have ever had. The owners were very welcoming, the B&B is beautiful, and the food was outstanding! This is also a birders paradise. Rachel has several bird feeders and hummingbird feeders and it was very pleasant sitting out on the deck watching the birds. Overall, one of the best B&Bs.
5 on July 28, 2013
This was another amazing trip to the Olympic National Forest. I would not even think about staying anywhere else! The hot tub overlooking beautiful views was a great way to wind down after a nice day of hiking. Breakfast will not disappoint! I have a gluten allergy and they are able to accommodate. The pancakes and omelet are not to be missed!! We appreciate everything!!! Till next time!!
5 on July 27, 2013
Along with the great location near the Pacific Ocean and Hoh Rain Forest, we appreciated the accommodating ghosts. We were able to choose our delicious breakfast from a menu along wirh the time we wanted it served. The house, including our room was very comfortable and the grounds were full of beautiful flowers and plants. We highly recommend this B&B!

4.2 on July 23, 2013
We arrived late and were looked after like family. The hosts were so accommodating and friendly, it was wonderful! The rooms are nice, but a little plain. Beds are comfortable. The food was great, the only reason I don't give it a 5 star is because, I think they could simplify a little bit. Jim is a phenomenal chef, but sometimes, I would like something a little less fancy and a little more cozy, comfort food in a place like this. Overall, it was a welcome and wonderful stay!

My wife and I stayed two nights at the Misty Valley Inn in July, 2013. Our room was wonderful, and Rachel has many nice touches like morning wakeup with a gentle knock on your door (prearranged time) with a tray with morning coffee and a beautiful note filling you in on the weather tides, etc. The view from the B&B dining room and deck is indeed a beautiful Misty Valley. Rachel gives you a choice of 6 breakfast items, three of which we sampled, and all were excellent! This is an area of microclimates, with the Hoh Rain Forest and coastal parts of Olympic NAtional Park close by. A wonderful stay with wonderful hosts.
5 on July 20, 2013
We were warmly welcomed and everything was perfect. We were sorry we had eaten dessert with dinner before arriving there. Nothing was overlooked for comfort and pleasure including a special personal greeting with the pre-breakfast tray.
5 on July 19, 2013
We were more than pleased with our stay at the Misty Valley Inn. Attractive grounds. A clean and comfortable room. However, nothing prepared us for the gourmet breakfast we had the following morning. I would come back again just for the breakfast. I highly recommend the souffle. You will not regret your stay at this marvelous B & B.
5 on July 18, 2013
The innkeeper was very friendly and was more than happy to accommodate my wife's dietary restrictions. We wanted to get an early start the next day and he was also able to meet this request. We really enjoyed eating breakfast and looking at the colorful birds and squirrels eating out on his deck. If we ever go to Forks again, we will be sure to stay here.
4.6 on July 18, 2013
I have stayed at Misty Valley Inn twice and both times have had an exceptional time. Rachel and Jim are two of the kindest people that I've ever met and go out of their way to ensure that one's stay is very satisfactory. Breakfasts are immense and delicious with fresh fruit, home made breads--scones and muffins--orange juice, the largest variety of teas I've ever seen, and a main entree that lasted me through the day. A choice of eating inside or on the balcony provides an exquisite view of a valley where elk sometime roam and sterling blue jays and company eat provide an atmosphere of fine dining. Rachel gave me great information about places to go off the beaten track which led me on a trail where I saw a whale skeleton, Native American petroglyphs, sea otter playing, and an eagle swipe a fish in mid-air from an osprey. That area of the Olympic Peninsula is one of the wildest and most beautiful that I've ever seen in my world travels. I highly recommend visiting and couldn't recommend more highly staying at Rachel and Jim's.

So there is this very nice house where I felt right at home with this charming couple. And there is a whirl pool, a beautiful garden, a terrace and a beautiful room. We've been in the Irish Room - it was charming and decorated to the last details. In the morning the coffee was delivered to the room. Afterwards we had a very good breakfast (it was huge so neither of us was able to finish it and we did not get hungry again until 2 pm).
4.4 on July 16, 2013
Misty Valley Inn location, room and property are very good. The food served by this Inn is out of this world. They offer their guests 6 chooses of breakfast entries...we choose an Apple Soufflé and a Moroccan Omelet, both were incredible. Plus they served homemade pastries and a fruit dish before our entries. In the afternoon, they offered us homemade lemon bars, brownie and chocolate cake. The inn Keeper, Rachel, is a top notch cook and baker.
5 on July 15, 2013
The rooms are beautiful, the view is great and the breakfast is delicous! They even have a whirl pool with a great view. It's fantastic! The owners are very nice people and we enjoyed our stay very much. Wished we could have stayed longer!

This was a gem - Rachel's delicious goodies and breakfast combined with Jim's beautiful flowers made our stay wonderful. We wish we had more time to watch the hummingbirds and the jays on the deck overlooking their private misty valley.

Room was great with plenty of power outlets. Shower was the best we had during our 8 days in which we stayed in 4 different places. Breakfasts were superb. Jim and Rachel are the best. Will recommend to our friends and family.

I stayed here with my daughters. The hostess greeted us at the door, though we where 2 hours early for check in she let us come in and drop our bags in the room before heading out for more sight seeing. The view from our private balcony were breath taking. The sheets on the bed felt like silk, which made for a great nights sleep. The tray of coffee, tea and hot chocolate left at our door were a Great Good Morning touch. We had our breakfast on our balcony in the morning over looking the beautiful garden and trees in the distance. Rachelle and Jim are a very sweet couple and there assistant Christine was delightful as well. They make you feel like royalty!!! I would definitely go back, to Forks, just for this B and B!! Thank you for the Great memories!

My husband and I stayed for 1 night in this lovely inn. Upon our arrival, Rachel greeted us with tea and rich, delicious desserts. She assisted us in choosing a restaurant for dinner and suggested we enjoy our takeout on the beach for sunset. We returned and enjoyed the hot tub out back which was wonderful. The wake up knock with tea, and breakfast the next morning were perfect. We were so happy to have stayed at this inn. Thank you Rachel and Jim.

We stayed one night, welcomed by showing our national flag on the house (alon..g others). We had the English room, very nicely arranged with a specious bathroom. All well equiped with modern facilities. Spent the evening in the living room with others. You can enjoy the hot tab outside in front magnificant forrests, Personal robes and towels are there for you. Rachel, the owner, desrves a special mention: she truely put your comfort at her highest priority. She is outstanding. Last, thefood. They offer drinks and cakes all day

They say there is no place like home, but Misty Valley Bed and Breakfast is an exception! From the moment you arrive you will feel warmly welcomed! Local restaurants were reviewed with us so we could make the best dining choices. Don't eat dessert out because A dessert buffet is available all evening and you will not want to miss out on any of the homemade treats! I loved the lemon bars! There's not much night life in Forks, but you won't miss it because at Misty Valley there is an amazing deck where you can sit and enjoy a bottle of wine (we bought ours in town) and be amused by the local squirrel and birds! Frogs sing in the evening and if your fortunate, you might even see the local crane fly through the woods! In the morning you will have you favorite beverage served to your door with a handmade card letting you know the weather conditions for the day ahead..just one of the many personal touches you will enjoy! Breakfast is served inside or out...your choice. When we waked out of our very cozy room, the smell of fresh baked scones filled the air and was just the beginning of what had to be the most delicious breakfast I have ever enjoyed! We sat on the deck, entertained by the local hummingbirds...breakfast began with warm from the oven home baked scones served with butter and jam...coffee with real cream and fresh orange juice. The warm spiced pears were a real treat! We could have made a meal from that, but soon our breakfast choice was served...I had the Apple Soufflé and my daughter chose the stuffed walnuts! The dishes were beatiful to look at and heavenly to taste! Our room was cozy and clean...everything was provided to make us feel like we were special guests! I would highly recommend Misty Valley to anyone who loves nature and is ready to experience the best breakfast ever!

Coming in from a long drive to homemade desserts and a warm welcome made the driving stress dissolve. Because the drive was taking longer than we expected we called to let them know. Our host suggested a great dining spot en route and no pressure to rush. We felt welcome and were well fed. Our morning coffee was delivered with beautiful rose and the day's weather. B reakfast was delectable and so fillingI ing we skipped lunch! We highly recommend you stay here. Did I mention the helpful olympic NP info and how close? Go there!

We were really excited to found that this place is real Paradise: comfortable sleeping, incredible breakfast, excellent service, magic view from the terrace. We have a dream now to return there for 5 days at least (2 days were not enough definitely). Thanks a lot to the hotel's owners for the great hospitality!

Modest accomodations in a fabulous location with lovely view of small valley from a large terrace deck. Relax on the deck with afternoon refreshments while watching birds, squirrels and chipmunks attracted to the seed trays. Afternoon tea and homemade sweets are an afternoon treat. Tea and coffee are presented on a tray at your room every morning to accomodate a leisurely morning rise. Breakfast is a choice from 6 delicious offerings in the dining room. The hosts are very nice.

We stay in a lot of B&Bs in Europe and North America. The Misty Valley Inn certainly ranks as one of the best. The standard of hospitality could not be better and we really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast also merits special mention. A bonus is the wildlife, particularly the humming birds you can see on and from the deck. Highly recomended

I will definitely return! Loved the location of the B&B. The grounds were nicely tended and scenic. The views from the dining room offered panoramic views of the valley and garden. A variety of birds constantly flitted about the decks overlooking the valley below. Rachel and Jim were attentive hosts. I loved the desserts (chocolate cake was delectable) offered and the availability of coffee/tea. As for breakfast, my Moroccan omelet was very tasty and made to my liking; the plate presentation was camera ready. Scones, juices, and spiced peaches were outstanding. My room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The mattress was supportive for my aching back. I could have soaked in their hot tub, but alas, I had forgotten to pack a bathing suit. I also enjoyed relaxing in the family room where I curled up with one of several books available by the fireplace. My only regret was that I wished I could have stayed an extra night or two!
4.2 on June 09, 2013
The property, rooms, view, food, and everything else was out of this world. The view from the deck was gorgeous and the hummingbirds were a site. The breakkfast menu had a large variety and the food gourmet. I will stay there again and would recommend to all.

The only thing we found not to our liking was that there was no meat served with the breakfast. Everyone likes sausage or bacon with french toast or pancakes. The peaches were outstanding.
5 on June 06, 2013
We reserved our room only a couple hours before showing up and everything was ready for us. Rachel welcomed us and sent us in the direction of a great restaurant for dinner. There was a tray of coffee and tea waiting outside our door when we woke up, followed by an amazing breakfast! The view during breakfast was great. All around great stay! Thanks for the hospitality!

Everything about our stay at this B&B was amazing. The room was comfortable and cute. The view from outside was amazing. Breakfast was always delicious and plentiful. It's impossible to start your day off hungry. The hosts were knowledgeable about the area and full of tips, recommendations, and directions. Also, they were very warm and welcoming. The sidebar was always filled with delicious food and an amazing variety of tea. From the moment I walked in, it felt like home away from home and that was worth more than they charged. Truly a worthwhile visit, and an amazing place to stay.
4.8 on June 03, 2013
We weren't expecting much out in Forks but this place was really nice. We stayed here 3 nights and did day hikes on the beaches. Rachel is a great baker and we ate really well while there. They have lots of bird feeders and there is a constant flurry of birds around the property, especially hummingbirds, which we enjoyed. We stayed in the Dutch Room which had a nice view of the valley. They did two things that are really nice and you don't always get at a B&B, wake-up tea or coffee delivered to your room at the time of your choice, and breakfast at the time of your choice. Would recommend to anybody.
5 on May 30, 2013
From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed personally and shown to a beautiful and obviously loved and cared for room. After we were settled, we were given an immaculately lovely-sounding breakfast menu and asked what we preferred, and the next morning, breakfast was even bigger and better than it sounded the night before! Meanwhile, the "little" things, like a spa, chocolates and candies everywhere in our room, cake and bars available in the evening, and the most beautiful porch view I've ever seen in Washington State, make The Misty Valley Inn the type of Bed and Breakfast experience you savor, and then encourage your friends to join your for your next visit. If we happen to be in Forks again, we'll be sure to return!

I came with my wife and parents. The manager was a lovely lady. The place is breathtaking and have a wonderful view and a deck with bird feeders and you can see a lot of hummingbirds, squirrels, chipmunks, etc. The breakfast was pretty decent. One thing that clouded it all is the rooms. The beds were weird and extremely uncomfortable. My father, in his 60's, woke up in the middle of the night with a back pain. He's been to many hotels/motels and never had any problem. Also in the Irish room, the sink is behind a kind of closet, which is weird and uncomfortable. I would expect the owners to have more decent beds, but if you think you won't have a problem with that, it's a great place.

Excellent service. The breakfast with view of squirrels and blue jays feeding alone was worth it. Lots of hummingbirds as well. Best value/quality rate in/around Forks I believe. Very extensive collection of books. We had a whole floor to ourselves! Girls loved the rooms and the comfort of the beds.

Jim and Rachel are attentive, solicitous hosts. Breakfasts were large and delicious. The setting is magnificent. We breakfasted on the rear, sun-drenched deck each morning, watching the jays and squirrels on the railing. The diverse guests were outgoing and interesting. I especially enjoyed the hot tub after a day of hiking the Hoh Rain Forest and the beaches near Neah Bay. All in all it was a wonderful, relaxing three day weekend.

A warm welcome ... afternoon tea and pastries. Our host was eager to answer questions about the park, dining and other local hints that made our stay memorable. We stayed in the Irish room and slept with the window open so we could hear the water fountain outside. This location allowed us to explore the park in all directions. We also have to mention the extensive breakfast menu...loved the unique pancakes.

We arrived on Saturday evening and were greeted pleasantly. My special needs were addressed and we were shown the area of pus use. The rooms were all delightful and cozy. The atmosphere was charming and in such a beautiful setting. My companions food needs were met and we all had a wonderful breakfast. Check out was easy and we received great value for our money.

The hospitality and service at this B&B was so remarkable that it bacame on of the most memorable aspects of our trip to the Olympic Penninsula.

We left Seattle early in the morning, taking the ferry and beginning a lovely journey around the Olympic Peninsula. We reached Misty Valley at the end of a day full of wonderful walks and incredible views. It was the perfect end to our day! Jim, our host, was great, the room comfortable and welcoming. Even dessert treats and tea waiting for us. And breakfast was outstanding.

Wife and I took a little one night trip over to the coast while the mother-in-law was visiting. Everyone at the Misty Valley Inn was fantastic. Breakfast is amazing and they even catered to your Vegan diet. Home is very close to town and coast.

My husband and I took advantage of the stellar winter rates to stay here for our anniversary this year. We would absolutely come again. We felt extremely well-cared for. The themed room was beautiful, the view out the dining room window was both peaceful and entertaining (there was a battle royale among the hummingbirds for the feeder), and the hot tub was exactly what we wanted after a long drive through the rain. The food was exceptional, starting with the wake-up tray (with hot chocolate!) and continuing to the best breakfast options I've seen outside of a fancy restaraunt (and better than some of those too!) and finishing with daily dessert options such as brownies, lemon tarts, and/or cake. Not only would we come here again, we'd bring our friends and family. Also the location was perfect for daytrips to the rainforest, Realto Beach, and other hikes in the area. Before we came, we had seen a negative online review citing lost reservations. I will say that we got immediate confirmation of our stay when we made our reservaton and we had no issues whatsoever with this.

The location was perfect for our anniversary. The room was quaint and quite comfortable. Our host and hostess were pleasant and informative. Misty Valley Inn is a perfect getaway for a romantic outing.

I had never been to a bed and breakfast before and was uneasy about how it would turn out. But to my delight this place was amazing. Less expensive then a hotel suite and 10x the service. It was an amazing breakfast and extremely relaxing. A home away from home where I don't have to do any of the cleaning. The hosts were very helpful and I will surely be back. Thank you!

We fell in love with the Sol Duc and Forks area. This gem was the cherry on top. We only regret that we did not get to stay longer. The help with directions, making suggestions on sites to see in the area, all of the wildlife, the spectacular view, and the delicious, customized breakfast, all contributed to making this the most memorable of accommodations during our weeklong trip.

This was a nice option for a place to stay in an unimpressive little town. We stayed in a comfortable room with a patio and a view of the misty valley. There were beautiful birds and squirrels to watch. The bed was not comfortable for me, but it wasn't any worse than an average hotel. The bathroom was quite nice. The temperature in the house was extremely warm and we found that we had to turn the room heat off and open the patio door in order to feel comfortable. Breakfast was nice. The food was pretty good, better than my average breakfast at home. The staff was helpful, recommending the best place to eat in town and identifying the birds at the feeder. I would recommend staying here if you must stay in Forks or are travelling around the Olympic Peninsula. There really isn't a better place to stay until you get to Port Angeles.
4.2 on April 12, 2013
Chris was our host while the owners were on vacation. She was outstanding and interested in trying to meet our every need. She went out of her way to even accommodate our plant based dietary needs. While not organic or whole grain, the food was abundant and beautifully displayed. The atmosphere was warm and comforting even on the rainy days in this enchanting misty valley. If you ever get a chance to meet Chris, ask her about her life among the wolves. You will be fascinated. Next time we will probably choose the larger room with the king bed and deck overlooking the valley, but the Irish room was cozy although a bit too warm at night. Opening the window helped and the road noise was minimal.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Misty Valley Inn for a short weekend getaway and were completely taken with this charming little place and blown away by Rachel's friendly hospitality and incredible attention to detail! The room was beautiful, our private balcony peaceful, and the morning coffee/tea tray was too cute for words! And the breakfast...delicious!! The grounds and the gardens are lovely, as is the view of the Misty Valley at sunrise... Just a perfectly sweet and romantic place to get away!! We will certainly be visiting again!!! What a great BnB. So very cozy with beautiful views, amazing food, and comfortable rooms. We have visited twice now and plan to make this a yearly tradition on our anniversary.

We found this little gem of a place online, stayed in the Irish Room. Manager was great, very informative. We dined for breakfast with hummingbirds and squirels. All around a most enjoyable stay. The only bit of caution is bring your sweet tooth as breakfast is fabulous but some items are very sweet.

Thank you, Rachel and team, for a flawless and relaxing weekend! For those who have not yet had the opportunity to experience Misty Valley Inn, here's a preview: - Upon arrival, a tea service is available to guests, including an assortment of homemade cakes and sweets, tea and coffee. - A TV room, a reading room (stocked with books about the area and, of course, Twilight-mania), a hot tub and a gigantic deck (with views) are available to guests at their leisure. - The bedrooms are decorated with extreme care, but most importantly, the bed is oh-so soft. - The best part: breakfast. I won't spoil the surprise, but Rachel has some treats in store for her guests. Mine included poached pears with cream, piping hot scones and an omelet. Hands down, this is the best B&B I've stayed in, and would considering venturing back to Forks just for the opportunity to stay at the Inn again.

Rachel and Jim were the perfect hosts. The view, food and calm atomsphere were perfect and just like the website shows. The breaksfast was to die for and kept you full all day long. Rachel and jim were able to recommended a number of activities to do and where to eat. This was the Best girls week we have had to date. I would recommended this B&B to anyone that ask. It was perfect and peaceful visit.

The room was very nice. The bed was comfortable. The decorations were a nice touch. We had a great breakfast. I had an omelet and my wife had waffles stuffed with whipped cream! We saw elk from the deck and spent the evening visiting with the other guests. It was like spending the night at a good friends home. We are sorry that we did not have more time to stay!

Our stay at the Misty Valley Inn was full of unexpected pampering and delight. From the fresh baked goodies, to the fresh robes in our room, and the rose that was served with the coffee delivered outside our door in the morning. The room was beautiful, the house is gorgeous, and the view was unimaginable. The hosts are so welcoming and seem to have thought of everything you will possibly need. Stay here. You won't want to leave.

My boyfriend and I took a 3 day weekend to escape from our normal routine. We chose Forks because it is extremely small and just far enough away to feel "gone". I'm am so pleased that I found Misty Valley Inn. Rachel was an amazing host from the moment we walked through the doors. She was there to answer any questions we had and able to guide us through our sightseeing by giving us helpful pointers. The breakfast was unbelievable! Both mornings we were woken up with coffee service at our door at our personal requested time. Then we went out to the main dining area for food. Rachel is an AMAZING cook! We had spiced fruit and fresh scones and muffins. The first morning we both had the berry and nut pancakes, and the second morning we had the omelet and French toast. The omelet was to die for...do not pass this up!!!! If you go to Forks, stay here, you will not be disappointed!

My best friend and I booked the Irish room for one night as we came to explore Portland and Forks for our Twilight tour. We were running extremely late from Portland, and the inn keepers were so helpful and kind to meet our needs. The room was just as explained, extremely clean, and perfect! We woke up to amazing hot cocoa and a lovely handmade card!! Breakfast was perfect! I am on a gluten free/dairy free diet and they made me the best pancakes I have ever tasted!!! The views were extraordinary!!!

The Misty Valley Inn in beautiful wooded Forks, WA is outstanding from the warm welcome at the door to the gourmet breakfast chosen from 6 entrees to the very cozy and reasonably priced rooms. Guests also have access to a large living room -- dining room. We will visit again.

We found this inn online when planning a trip with our daughter and son-in-law to the Olympic National Park. All four of us were thrilled with the inn and innkeepers. There was a hot tub for soaking our sore muscles at the end of a day of hiking. The breakfasts were amazing.. the only problem being needing to choose between the various delicious choices. I can't recommend this place enough!

We found this B&B accidentally. The hosts are so friendly, warm and give you the feeling that you come home. The bedrooms are the most wonderful, romantic I have ever seen. Everything fits together. You can give your preference on what you want for your wake up call (coffee, tea, hot chocolate or water). After that you have a lot of things to choose from for breakfast. The breakfast tasted wonderful. Everything is so personalised. I almost forget to mention the lovely hottub and beautiful view over the valley and the birds, chipmunks and squirels who come by in the morning. We wanted to stay for one night, but desided to stay for another night.

I extended my work trip so I could explore the Seattle area and Olympic Peninsula, and was very lucky to have excellent weather the whole time! Jim and Rachel were so welcoming from the moment I arrived. They had lots of information to share about the area and things to do related to my interests, specifically hiking. The rooms were very clean, tastefully decorated, and comofrtable . The breakfasts were delicious and huge. They had a wide selection of treats and hot beverages available all the time, and had a menu of items to choose from for breakfast as opposed to serving the same items for everyone. They also asked if there were any special accomodations needed, such as for gluten or dairy allergies. The jacuzzi was a special treat after hiking all day in the cold. My stay was very relaxing, and I will definitely stay there again when I return to the area.

My husband and I spent one night at the Misty Valley Inn and we loved it! Everything was just lovely. The food was incredible and the hosts were fantastic! We are expecting our first child in about 4 weeks, this was one last get away before the next season of our lives begin, and it was the perfect way to relax. We enjoyed a quiet evening reading in the sitting room, and had a delicious breakfast with a breathtaking view! I just can't recommend this place enough!

This was our first stay at a B&B, and we were extremely happy with the hospitality and our experience with Misty Valley Inn. They were very helpful and knowledgeable to any questions that we had in regards to the area, history of Forks, local restaurants, and shopping. Breakfast was excellent, and we very much enjoyed our scenic view of the beautiful forest and animals that surrounded Misty Valley Inn. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at Misty Valley Inn.

Misty Valley Inn is a gem in Forks. The Rachel and Jim are wonderful people and they make sure you are well taken care of from the moment you arrive, to when you depart. I highly recommend it!

Although you will see some rain on the Olympic Peninsula in the fall, the atmosphere at the Misty Valley Inn is warm and very cheery. The made to order breakfasts were outstanding and kept us going all morning. The afternoon baked goods lasted well into the evening and were much appreciated after days of hiking. The staff was very accommodating and had a lot of useful information to help us with our touring plans. This is definitely a place to revisit any time of year. Barb and Mark Gorges, Cheyenne, Wyoming

We just had a wonderful couple nights at Misty Valley Inn. The rooms are quaint and quiet. The breakfasts are great with plenty of food. Tea and coffee are available each afternoon. Desserts are available every evening with tea and coffee. This was the perfect location to see Forks and the surrounding areas!

We chose this B&B from a Google list while on a ferry at 4 PM - and we hit the jackpot when we arrived! Three desserts awaiting us (lemon bars, brownies, and a lucious chocolate cake that positively called my name), an upgrade to the best room in the house, and our choice of six fabulous breakfasts. I gather that Jim's wife is a dietician - I never did meet her - so if I'd been with my husband instead of my son, his diabetic diet could have been easily accomadated. Jim helped us with tidal charts and travel plans - he was just lovely. Binoculars and bird books for birdwatching, books on the Olympic peninsula and its history to peruse - and of course the Twilight stuff (which doesn't interest me in the least, but I gather it does others). I'd go here again in a heartbeat. Excellent value for the money.

5-star hospitality! We were offered an upgrade to the largest room which had a great view. The two breakfasts we had there were the best meals we ate in town. We would have loved to have had dinner there if it were offered (gladly would have paid more too). The hosts were friendly and knowledgeable. The lemon bars and the hot chocolate were our favorites.

This was the first time my husband and I have ever been away from our boys and it was worth it. It was also our first time staying in a bed and breakfast. We loved having a variety of choices for breakfast instead of only one option, and the food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed seeing what everyone else ordered for breakfast so we could determine what we would have the next night. The rooms were clean and decorated with purpose. We stayed in the Dutch Room and stared in awe at the beauty from our deck every morning and afternoon. Kara was wonderful and a great host while the owners were away, and meeting Jim on our final day was a great pleasure. The company was wonderful, it was quite private, and the little touches like the morning tray, maps for the area, and take out menus, just made it such a joy. We cannot wait to return for another visit.

We only had one night to stay at the Misty Valley Inn but it was certainly worth it. The host was wonderful and the food divine. They offer an afternoon tea (which we had to miss) and evening desserts. (Which we all enjoyed!) as well as a personalized breakfast that was outstanding. The view during breakfast was worth the whole price! Not only were the mountains, mist and filtered sun breathtaking but we had a chipmunk and a few beautiful dark blue jays enjoying the bird feeders on the back porch. We were all sad that we had to leave right after. The room (The French Room) was very nice and the bed comfortable. Our window was open and even though it was chilly, we were very comfortable all snuggled in bed and so enjoyed the sounds of the rain and wind blowing through the trees. We would love to return to this lovely spot. Also for the Twilight fans, our host was very knowledgeable about all things Twilight and if you are interested, he will entertain you with all sorts of fun facts.

We only stayed one night, but it was an excellent choice and everything was absolutely wonderful. The warm welcome and helpful hospitality, the charming room, the beautiful surroundings and the delicious breakfast could not have been any better. When we come back to this area, this beautiful and charming b & b is where we will want to stay. Jan and Bob Bergeler

We stayed at this pretty and comfortable little place for 2 nights. Rooms were cozy and decorated tastefully. It is just off Hwy 101 so we thought there would be traffic noise but no worry -- nights were quiet even with the window open. The hosts allow guests to pick their wake-up and breakfast service times, so you are under no morning deadlines. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. There is a lovely little garden which boasted blooms even in mid-October, against a beautiful backdrop of an evergreen meadow and mountains behind. There is a hot tub on the premesis facing that gorgeous view, and a long soak is a great way to end a long hiking day. Very pleasant stay.

You'll be happy that you found this quiet, clean b&b. The service was great--the host and hostess work continuously to make sure the guests are well taken care of including a extremely flexible morning breakfast schedule. In addition, they offer good suggestions for sight seeing and evening dining nearby. Breakfast is a choice of several options, each individually prepared. My only suggestion for improvement would be more protein options and less waffles, crepes, french toast, etc. We would definitely stay here again.
4.8 on October 09, 2012
We arrived late at night to some delicious desserts. We were asked what we would like for breakfast from a menu that made it difficult to choose. They also asked what time we wanted our breakfast and if we would like coffee or tea delivered to our room before our breakfast...excellent service, very accomodating. Breakfast was delicious! We stayed in the Dutchess room and the view that we woke up to was incredible. When we checked out we received some yummy scones to take with us on the road. I would highly recommend this B&B and you can't beat the price! The only reason I gave the room 4 stars was because I would have really liked to soak in a warm bath, but it only had a shower. The room was nice though, large, and again a beautiful view!

The owners were on vacation & the young women, Nicole & Cara, who staffed the Inn, were outstanding, as both were very friendly & helpful. It was the end of the vaction season (Sept. 30th & Oct. 1st) and the some very minor cleanliness issues were visible. We find a piece of an old dried brownie on a nightstand & an overhead light bulb was out.

Very nice B&B in a great location for visiting the Hoh rain forest (truly unique) and the pacific beaches of the Olympic National Forest. Excellent and filling breakfast, which is good considering the quality of most restaurants in Forks. It will definitely be your best meal of the day. Hosts were helpful and accommodating. Tasty desserts were out in the evening, which encouraged conversation with the other guests and gave it the true B&B flavor.

Our first experience at a bed and breakfast far exceeded our expectations. Rachel and Jim are the ultimate hosts. They were very knowledgeable about the area and gave great information on all the sites to visit. The breakfasts were totally out of this world! All in all it was a great time.

We spent three nights here exploring the Hoh Rainforest and beaches of the Washington Coast. Jim and Rachel could not have done more to make our stay enjoyable. They have a detailed knowledge of the area and can suggest itineraries. Breakfast was delicious and more than we could eat. The Inn itself is beautiful, both inside and out. Twilight comes too soon. (Yes, a copy of the book is available!)

We stayed at Misty Valley Inn last Sun. and it was such a great experience. My BF and I had never stayed in a B&B before and were a bit nervous. Once we got there, everything turned out perfect. We arrived late at night and my Garmin GPS directed us 0.3 mile further north than it is supposed to be. I called and the owner explained to us very patiently of how to get there. We were pleased to find the dessert plates offered in the dinning area and watched blu-ray in the living room at night. We didn't get chance to use the hot tub this time but could imagine how nice it would be sitting in a hot tub with the great moutain view in front of us. The breakfast was outstanding also and my BF said it's the best omelette he's ever had! Wish we could stay longer and would love to come back again!

We stayed here overnight to cover the Olympic National Park. It was also my birthday whilst staying here-my husband had managed to organize a cake for me-baked by Rachael and hid it in the armoire so that I would have no idea. I absolutely loved it!! It looked beautiful and was yummy!! Back to the B&B..We had difficulty finding it as I forgot to read the directions and our TomTom GPS had the house numbers all wrong. So we had to keep Jim up till really late due to our diversion. We finally made it and he was standing outside with a flashlight to direct us in. He then settled us in and discussed our breakfast options before we retired for bed. Even at such a late hour we were offered refreshments, use of the Hot Tub etc. What a great welcome. In the morning it was a treat to receive coffee in bed! What a fantastic start to my birthday! We then headed towards the dining room and Jim got started on my Apple Souffle and it melted in my mouth! Absolutely divine. My husband had the Moroccan omelette which he loved too. Whilst we were waiting for the main dishes to arrive we were served spiced pear (yummy) and a freshly baked muffin. It was a real treat to stay here and our hosts were wonderful. The B&B is well maintained and cared for. Was really clean and staff was attentive. The actual location of the B&B was amazing too...Wish we could have spent more time here but this birthday I won't be forgetting in a rush! Thanks so much Jim and Rachael!

Misty Valley Inn is the perfect place to get away from it all. A peaceful, lovely setting and warm, welcoming hosts. We appreciated its location near areas of interest to us...we walked Rialto Beach at sunset and hiked through the Hoh Forest the next day. The inn is well stocked with a variety of reading material, games and a separate room for watching TV on the very large screen.

Rachel and Jim are very welcoming hosts. Our room and the common areas were attractive, clean, and well appointed. For breakfast we tried the Moroccan omelette and the waffles--both were delicious. Bonuses: watching squirrels and blue jays duke it out on the deck over breakfast; arriving to a dessert buffet each afternoon/evening; and Rachel's overview of things to do in the area, keyed to our interests. Hint: Leave your diet at home!

What an amazing time we spent at the inn. Felt very pampered and relaxed after days of fitting in as many area attractions as possible. Wish we had allowed even more time to absorb more of the Misty Valley atmosphere which was elegant and yet comfortable. The food was most memorable and our experienced host and hostess knew just how to please.

My partner and I stayed at Misty Valley for two night in August. We wanted to walk the beaches and hike in the rainforest of the Olympic National Park and have somewhere comfortable and clean to rest our heads at night. Misty Valley Inn is in the perfect location for exploring the National Park. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the owners are very friendly and helpful in answering any questions you may have. We really enjoyed the food, the breakfast is wonderful, the best you will find in the area. It is located on a beautiful and peaceful property. We enjoyed the hot tub and even saw some elk while relaxing on the deck. I recommend Misty Valley to anyone staying in the Forks area and would stay there again if we have a chance to return.

Not only were the rooms beautifully decorated but the beds were very comfortable. .We slept better here than we did in our own beds. Every amenity was provided including extra outlets for our electonics. We were greated with a tantalizing breakfast menu that was as much fun deciding as it was to experience fabulous food. Misty Valley Inn is a great place to stay in northwestern Washington. We stayed in the Irish Room and found it to be well appointed and very clean. But it was the breakfasts that were truly exceptional ... for both the quality and quanity. Afternoons on the deck overlooking the valley were also special. Lemon bars, chocolate brownies, and a fresh chocolate cake were set out to help you enjoy the excellent tea. The valley wasn't misty, but that's not to be expected when it's 78 degrees while eating your breakfast on the deck. Jim and Rachel are terrific hosts. We would love to go back and stay there again.

My husband and I stayed here for one night in late August while passing through the Peninsula. I had researched for a place to stay and went with Misty Valley based on all the great reviews. Well, Misty Valley in person did not let us down. The house was easy to find (road signs in each direction on the highway), had ample space, was very clean, and had very nice people working and wonderful owners. An unbelievable breakfast was included at a time of our choosing. There was so much delicious food that I had to take my muffin on the road with me! Try the raspberry hot chocolate...absolutely delicious. The Inn had menus of nearby restaurants so we could make an informed decision about dinner. Also, the Inn had books/magazines/games for guests to use. My husband and I would both recommend Misty Valley and would definitely stay there again.

The Mystic Valley Inn B&B was a great find in Forks, WA. Just 20 minutes from the beaches and 40 minutes to the Rain Forest. The breakfast was fabulous. Cake, cookies, coffee and tea were available all day. We stayed in the English Room which was situated between two other rooms. The next time I would request the room with the balcony. Great place.

The owner/hostess appears to be fanatically dedicated to hospitality. Where did this woman come from? She is like the hospitality elf. There was something delicious to eat on the sideboard 24/7, and of course coffee and tea as well. I requested a special order breakfast and she whipped it up lickety split; it was completely delicious. Seeing that we were in the hands of the hospitality elf, we decided to take her advice about what to do during the dinner/evening time word for word. As a result, we had a lovely hike and ate a delicious, inexpensive meal on a picnic bench by one of the most scenic beaches in the country while watching a gorgeous sunset. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and my husband and I appreciated the lovely en suite double-sink bathroom. The surroundings were tranquil and the hostess seems to have a green thumb as well, because the plantings are absolutely lovely. Everything is right about this place. Enjoy!

We only got to spend one night - wish it had been more. The food was fantastic! So many treats to choose from in the evening and breakfast was made to order! Jim and Rachel were very helpful with dinner and shopping suggestions as well as "backroad" directions to where we needed to go. Thank you for a great stay.

My wife and I had a great night at the Misty Valley Inn. The room was comfortable and quiet, and the breakfast was far beyond the continental breakfast we expected.

We often plan our trips by looking for B&Bs in the general area where we think we might want to spend the night or nights.Between Lake Quinalt and Hurricane Ridge, Forks, WA beckons with the Hoh rain forest and Rialto Beach close at hand. Our only problem is we should have booked two nights here rather than one. Breakfast is outstanding, with 6 choices of entrees, not at a common time, but at the time you preferred. The view from the deck over the valley, the quietness, the hospitality, the truffles, the landscaping, and the equisite dining put the Misty Valley Inn in a league with few others, especially at this price. It is one of those places that you will want to build your trip, or at leat part of it, around.

OMG! This place was so beyond anything for service and the food was gourmet. The oatmeal/berry pancakes were great hot and even better when eaten later on the trail. The lemon bars were OMG and my husband ate way too many of the triple chocolate brownies and were there for us in the afternoon. Information on local trail was very good. Forget the Twilight hype, The area has rain forest and beaches that are magnificent. The innkeepers were so friendly but not intrusive. The place was spotleess.

Our friends stayed at Misty Valley Inn 15 years ago, and recommended based on their memorable vacation. We have to take our hats off for the Owners for keeping up a great place in a great shape and surprising us with warmest welcome and outstanding hospitality for duration of our stay. Food at Misty Valley Inn need a special note - SUPERB!!! Thank you Rachel and Jim for your love of people and taking great care of your business! Lev and Diana.

The owner makes the absolute best desserts (she will even offer to make your favorite dessert before arrival) and they are out and available 24/7! They are life changing! The hot tub and view of the valley is beautiful. The location is good, close to everything in Forks. Definitely worth a stop. The breakfast is amazing - try the omelette. I loved the spices in the sauce, told the owner, and she gave me spice packets to take home. Outstanding service!! Will go back again :)

Perfect stop off on our tour of the wonders of the Olympic Penninsula. Very comfortable room, great view from deck, and delicious breakfast. Our hosts were very warm and welcoming, and have outfitted the inn with thoughtful touches. I loved watching the moon and the birds out back, and my omelette for breakfast was exceptional. I'm actually not normally not a B&B person, but I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

This was a really lovely place to stay in Forks. The woman who works at the B&B showed us our room when we arrived and gave us all the information we needed. The room (the French room) was really lovely, complete with (fake) rose pedals and pretty clear pebbles on the bed. There were super yummy brownies and lemon bars available for snacking the night before. The B&B also featured a wide array of books (yes, including some on Twighlight) and games. The breakfast the next morning was really tasty, and we even got lucky enough to have some excellent breakfast companions as well. All in all, a very nice stay.
4.2 on August 09, 2012
breakfast was a huge portion but for our taste it needed some getting used to. the coffee was horribly weak, go for the hot chocolate which was great. i recomend the crepe with whipped cream and strawberries for breakfast - it has millions of calories but tastes great. room decorated with lots of love for detail but there is hardly anywhere to put your stuff - especially in the bathroom.
4.8 on August 07, 2012
We absolutely loved it here: wonderful staff and hosts, excellent ambiance; everything far better than it needed to be. We know that the predominating fashion in B&Bs is for spectacular breakfasts, but we wouldn't mind next time having just one option that was lower in fats, sugar, and carbies, for those of us trying to maintain our girlish figures. The breakfasts were fabulous, but we ourselves were unused to such rich food; we didn't eat the rest of the day. We would definitely return! Next time also we'll know about the vampire-biz...

An outstanding B&B in an area with few good lodging options. Rachael and Jim love pampering their guests with incredible breakfasts & desserts, room amenities like bathrobes, slippers, mini-fridges & homemade candy, & expert advice on the Olympic Peninsula. The property is beautifully landscaped, with a huge deck for enjoying the outdoors and a hot tub for enjoying your companion.

B&B absolument parfait.

A very professionally run B&B, quiet and clean. The birds, chipmunks and other animals provide for great entertainment at breakfast when they eat the seeds out on the balcony.
5 on August 02, 2012
A great bed and breakfast. Hosts gave us details on things to do in the area geared to our interests. The bedroom we had was clean and quiet. Complimentary internet access was provided. Dining recommendations were good and led us to a pizzeria we wouldn't have tried otherwise but had the best pizza I've had in a long time. Hosts provided a wake up knock in the morning with tea/coffee/cider served in our room. Breakfast afterward was prepared to order and was delicious (and more than we could finish). Location allows easy access to Olympic National Park beaches and rainforests. In retrospect I wish we had stayed another night.

We chose this b&b based on location and its good reviews since it is near the Hoh Rainforest and coastline. As it turned out, the location was convenient and the b&b itself was a nice place to return to at the end of the day. We thoroughly enjoyed the views from the back deck at breakfast and in the evening over a cup of tea and slice of delicious cake. Rachel was very thorough in explaining the area and dining options when we arrived which we very much appreciated. It's expected that innkeepers know their territory and it was nice that she spent 15 minutes situating us so we could make the most of our time there. The room was very clean and quiet. Linens were high quality and the shower had great pressure. As for the area, the Hoh Rainforest is spectacular. Grab a sandwich on your way there in Forks at the pizza shop next to the grocery store and spend your time there hiking the trails. Regarding the coast, we didn't hike down to Second Beach but we heard from others at the b&b that it is really special so don't miss it. La Push can be skipped. We found Rialto Beach very nice if you're not into the hiking to the beach.
5 on July 28, 2012
Even before I booked the room, the innkeeper had given me a workable itinerary and oral road map for our stay in Olympic National Park. The inn offers the latest check in time I have ever experienced which enables a traveller to take advantage of the late western sunset and be outdoors until dark. Dessert table was filled with delicious home made goodies and available with tea throughout the day and night. Breakfast was bounteous and delicious. This inn is certainly a diamond in a geographically "rough" part of the Northwest.

Our room overlooked the misty valley and was so relaxing. We stayed in the Dutch Rrom which was very clean and comfortable. And, breakfast was delicious.

We loved our time at Misty Inn. The name fits it perfectly! The food was delicious and large portions - 2 pancakes are enough for 2 people! We would love to return when in the area. Great B&B
5 on July 27, 2012
We rarely stay at a B&B and were pleasantly surprised that it could be as good as claimed. We were more than welcomed guests. We were family! Even the dogs greeted us with welcoming licks and wagging tails. The morning tray was such a treat for my wife and grandaighter. The food was better than most fine restaurants serve and not just quality but quantity as well. I asked for half orders after the 1st morning. The menu was varied with 5 options every morning. The evening dessert offerings were to die for. No sweet tooth would ever complain. Not only do we recommend it, but we will return. Michael and Janis Kisman and granddaughter

We were greeted with the subtle perfume from the flowers on the front steps. Very nice accomodations, the breakfasts have to be seen to be believed! Serene views out a large picture window invite your brain to turn off and your body to relax. Or you can pull up a chair or chaise longue on the back deck, put your feet up and commune with the indigenous birds, and squirrels that visit the feeders above a very pretty garden. Even the 2 Inn dogs are available to visit and the Greymation is very effective at eliminating stress with her sweet demeanor. Innkeepers are very nice, too.

We had a great time. It was our first bed and breakfast experience and I dont think it could have been any better. The food was better than a five star restaurant and there is plenty of it. The coffee is the best I've ever had. Overall beautiful and very relaxing. We will definitely be back.

When driving into the Misty Valley Inn parking area, I was apprehensive. The first impression is less than stellar, but once we were greeted upon arrival we quickly changed from apprehensive to thrilled. The finishing touches, the outstanding food, and the excellent service are among the best I have experienced. I have stayed at many great bed and breakfast inns, but none better.

Wow - what a pleasant surprise! This is a wonderful B & B. The host and hostess couldn't do anymore to to be more helpful or welcoming. They are a lovely couple. Rachel's breakfasts are amazing - she's an incredible cook & her personal touches are beautiful. From a knock at your door in the morning complete with a tray bearing coffee and a hand crafted note to the variety of birds that gather on the porch out back - this is just a perfect place to stay. It's located perfectly from Olympic Park, Cape Flattery, etc. We will be back!

Stayed for 2 nights while visiting the area. Room was super. Very comfortable bed. Stayed in the Dutch Room. Double sinks in the bath with tub and shower. View is beautiful. Outside patio/porch with table and chairs. Breakfast - OMG! Delicious! You pick it and they make it for you fresh in the AM. Eat while looking at the wild life outside the dining room window. We go in super late but it was not a problem. Owner waited for us and made sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend this B&B. Will def go back!

We felt very, very comfortable at the Misty Valley Inn. We enjoyed talking to the other guests in the evening and at breakfast. While eating breakfast, we had the joy of watching stellar jays and squirrels eating sunflower seeds and the excitement of watching hummingbirds eating at the sugar water feeders. Breakfast was good, the bed was comfortable, and the baked goods left out for us to eat were delicious. The girls working at the end were very pleasant. We were close to the Hoh rain forest and the beaches.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Misty Valley B & B and it was a wonderful place to celebrate his birthday. Our hosts provided an exceptionally positive experience, and we felt very welcome and cared for. Their attention to detail to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable was exceptional. The breakfast and desserts were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. We really enjoyed relaxing in the huge spa style hot tub by moonlight after a walk on the First Beach at La Push. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, and we had a great night's sleep. One cannot go wrong staying here!

The Misty Valley Inn truly is a gem tucked away in the Olympic Penninsula. The entire experience far exceeded my expectations, and is definitely a place I would like to return the next time I make my way out there. My girlfriend and I stayed in the Dutch room, and the view we had on our private balcony was simply breathtaking...it's exactly how it's pictured on their website. On top of everything, Rachel is one of the most generous people you will ever encounter. She is the epitome of hospitality, and will do everything she can to make your experience a relaxing and memorable one. She truly loves what she does, and it shows with the product she's created. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a night to stay while cruising the scenic 101 in the Olympic Penninsula.

Rachel and Jim go above and beyond in hospitality. The breakfasts are wonderful - Rachel is an exceptional cook. We so thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return.

My only disappointment was the breakfast - the french toast was far too soft and "eggy" for my liking. I enjoy some soft crunch to the bread. Having said that, the room was addorable (minus the rose petals, I'm not a Twilight fan) and other then the plethora of books strewn about the living area, it was a clean organized place. The fact that they gave us six options for breakfast was surprising and the omlets were great! The hosts were energetic and eager to help make the stay pleasant. I would love to stay here again (I just wouldn't order the french toast for breakfast again).

This inn is beautifully kept, the service is exceptional, the views and rooms gorgeous, and the hospitality overflowing. I would return to Washington State, just to visit this inn, and I LOVE the mountains and rainforest in the State. Freshly made pecan waffles with whipped cream and orange sauce, a quiet deck to enjoy the garden the forest and the animals, and knowing hosts who ensure that you are comfortable and your needs are met. Bravo!

The food was great and they gave you a menu to select your breakfast option for the next morning. We never met the owners and there was usually young women on staff. However, we had to seek them out to give breakfast orders and make any request. I haven't stayed at a bread and breakfast very often, but I expected more personal service from a bread and breakfast.

my wife and I took a bike tour. We arrived earlier then expected and muddier then expected. We changed our plans and wanted to take the bus back to our drop off spot to pick it up and bring it to the B&B. The owners must have had such pity on us that they allowed us to check in early and shower up. They then took us to the bus station for free. The service was fantastic and extremely friendly. The breakfast was supreme. I had the moroccan omelet and my wife had the pancakes. Both were enormous. We could have probably shared 1 breakfast. I think the only thing I would do to improve the experience is to have more hot water available at night for tea. We really like the fact that the dining room table is big to play board games.

My wife and I arrived late and had to leave early from the Misty Valley Inn. Nevertheless, we were made to feel very welcome and were treated to a relaxing room and scrumptious food and drink. The innkeeper and staff were very pleasant and pointed out some great places to see along the route of our travels the following days. We absolutely recommend the Misty Valley Inn!

I had a lovely visit to Forks. Upon my arrival the owner gave me a nice tour of the house and made me feel very welcome. They were also very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. The evening dessert buffet is amazing, what a treat when on vacation. The room I stayed in was very comfortable. The morning routine was nice and relazed with coffee in bed and then a very yummy breakfast.

Jim is so nice and welcoming. When we arrived he was so helpful and informative. The room was large with huge bed and very plush. View out of room is unbeatable. Quiet and calm surroundings that are so relaxing. The treats and tea left out for the guests were such a nice surprise. Our one and only "bad" was during breakfast (YUM by the way) Rachel took my Husbands hat off his head while he was eating. He felt it was over the top, and an invasion of his space. Overall was a great place and would go back again.

Highly recommended. We loved our stay here. The hosts - Jim & Rachel are so friendly. The room we stayed at (Dutch room) had a gorgeous view of the misty valley. Hummingbirds constantly visited outside the room. The breakfast was simply decadent (almost a brunch for us). When we visit Mistly Valley or Forks again we will definitely stay here again. One thing we missed is having a TV in the room itself. Though there was a TV in the common living room at the inn - sometimes a TV in private guest room is just appreciated. But all in all 5 stars!

I stayed at Misty Valley in May with my mother. We came to Forks four years ago for Twilight, but we keep coming back! The Olympic Pennisula is beautiful. We usually stay at motels and this time we decided to try something different. I am so glad we did. Jim and Rachel were wonderful hosts with great personalities. Our room was large and spacious and we had our own private deck with table and chairs. Breakfast was amazing and the portions were as large as the plate they were served on. The hot tub has a wonderful view of the valley where the elk roam. This was the best nights sleep I have had away from home. I was sad we only stayed two nights and had to return home. This was our number one choice out of all the places we stayed the last four years. We will be returning soon. Amy Studybaker, California

My partner and I stayed the night before participating in the Coast Cleanup. I've been to Forks many times on Man Adventures, fishing and such, but had never stayed at a B and B out there. I had no idea what to expect. Rachel greeted with us with a big smile and toured us around the place until we were obviously comfortable, then brought out a stack of local restaurant menus. Her recommendations were spot on, and I heard of places I'd never been too. They are on my radar for future trips. We spent a delightful evening reading and watching Elk and various birds out on the deck. The morning tea / coffee service was actually very nice and great fun. The young people making breakfast were a surprise and a delight. I stay again in a hearbeat when I need a dry warm place while visiting Forks.

Our time at Misty Valley was wonderful. As three woman on holiday together this bed and breakfast surpased our expectations. From the friendly greeting to the attention to little details we were very happy. The setting was ideal. It was the little finishes that made all the difference from the dessert bar to the tray delivered to our room with hot drinks to the amazing three course personalized breakfast we were very happy. The hot tub was wonderful and the service friendly. I am recommending Misty Valley to all I meet.

My wife and I spent 3 days at the Misty Valley Inn at the end of April. While the weather was beautiful the first day and part of the second day, it rained on the third day. But that was okay, we went there just to rest and relax. The B and B was wonderful, the hosts Jim and Rachel were out of town, but we were well taken care of by Kara and Nicole. The room was comfortable, the other guests friendly and the birds and squirrels were very entertaining. The breakfasts were amazing and very filling and we had a great mini vacation. We will be returning in the future to spend more time at the Misty Valley Inn. Steve and Priscilla Kanthack

My wife and I stayed here for one night in early March. We were traveling with my cousin and her husband. We were warmly greeted, shown to our rooms, and treated like kings and queens. Rachel took great care of us, seeing to our needs and even recommending some restaurants for dinner. The common room is great, and the selection of 24/7 deserts a real treat. Breakfast was very high quality and featured some excellent choices. My wife is an interior designer and felt the decor was dated, but everything was well kept-up and the accommodations, food, and service top-notch: especially for the price. We highly recommend the Misty Valley Inn and hope to return before too long!

Misty Valley Inn is nestled in the town of Forks, WA just on the edge of the Olympic National Forest. My husband and I were doing a road trip around the 101 and this B & B was one of the few I found online that was not outrageously priced., We were amazed at the view from our room, plush, comfy beds and delicious food that was presented. When we revisit we will most certainly stop back and see Rachel, the very gracious innkeeper, as this was such a wonderful way to unwind mid-trip.

Rachel & Jim were great and the atmosphere was so relaxing. It's like we had the run of the whole upstairs and spent the night watching Twilight...of course. I would return here in a heartbet. Very comfortable beds, close to town and the ocean beaches.

My husband & I have stayed in many B&Bs all over the country. Mist Valley Inn is our favorite! The breakfasts are exceptional, the rooms charming & lovely, & the service delightful! In fact, we loved it so much we stayed there on our honeymoon!

Before vampires and Twilight there was a beautiful corner in WA near the rainforest and beaches. This is a little piece of heaven to stay here.

My husband and I stayed at Misty Valley Inn this past October. It was more than what I expected. Rachel made us feel very welcome. The Irish room was very comfortable and the desserts upon arrival were delicious. I really liked that she had set up a coffee, tea and dessert place in her dining room for the guests to have at any time. The breakfast was exceptional. We were very pleased with the whole experience and have already recommended Misty Valley Inn to several of our friends. Hopefully we will make it up there again some day soon. Thanks Rachel!

Misty Valley Inn was a gorgeous place to stay. The scenery was other-worldly beautiful. We saw wild elk from the balcony w/i seconds of arriving. The beautiful antiques all over the house were breathtaking. The warm hosts are phenomenal chefs and breakfast was an extravagant daily affair. I would go back, or recommend Misty Valley Inn anytime!

We are not big twilight fans, but can appreciate the novelty of staying in Forks, Wa. We were taking a scenic drive around the area and Forks is an ideal location to stay. A small, quaint town with beautiful scenery, ample activity and plenty of dining choices. The hosts of the Misty Valley Inn are delightful and will answer many of your questions about things in the area such as wildlife, history and local attractions. The food...AMAAAAAZING. Be sure to treat yourself to the lemon bars during the afternoon and the french toast at breakfast. Divine. I suggest you wake up before dark to enjoy the sunrise and see the mist in the valley. Also, watch for birds, squirrels and Elk! We didn't get a chance to use the hot tub, but did get to see the first snow of the season. Can't wait to go back!

I wish I could tell you about the place other than we drove by the place and noticedthe front of the property is extreamly close to the highway.....not something we would have enjoyed. And after having the reservation for 9months we were informed that they had forgoten to pull the dates from their web address and told us they couldn't host us.........so again after another lenghthy search we found groveland cottage. If you want a review of that wonderful home we didn't want to leave id be more than happy to accomidate

I only stayed at the Misty Valley Inn for one night on 9/23, but it was fabulous! I was touring the entire Peninsula and decided to stay one night in Forks because I'm a Twilight fan and because it was close to the Hoh Rainforest. My only complaint is that it was difficult to find in the dark, but Rachel helped me find my way. I stayed in the English Room and it was so cute, I didn't want to even mess up the bed to sleep in it. They dropped a coffee tray off at my door the following morning and then I had the biggest breakfast of my life! You get to choose off of a menu and everything sounded so delicious. I got the strawberry crepe which I could hardly finish because it was so big. There are also treats just laying around everywhere, so if you have a sweet tooth you are going to really love it. The view was also amazing! It is just outside the main part of town so the setting was just gorgeous. I had a wonderful experience here and would recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

This Inn is unsurpassed in it's unique location - overlooking a valley of trees. The breaksfast is gourmet all the way with selections like an apple souffle ,waffles or veggie omelets. It is very close to Rialto ocean beach with magnificant driftwood and also the Hoh Rain forest. Make this your headquarters and stay 3-4 nights. We loved it here!

When we first arrived at Forks, we drove through the town. Needless to say, we were very concerned about the Inn based on what we saw as a town in need of much repair. But what a wonderful surprise. Our room was very private and comfortable. And the view! My husband must have taken 100 pictures from our balcony. The food was awesome - they even had the type of tea I love to drink. The staff was enthusiastic and so helpful with any little request.

Hello, I and my sister were at the Misty Valley Inn and I could not have been a better place! When we arrived, Rachel greeted us with the kind of smile that told you that peace was right behind the door. We were welcomed in, and went out onto the patio. What a view! We got in later than planned, and Rachel let us know about all of the places in town to eat. She also told us about Pacific Pizza and that they delivered. We had a wonderful pizza dinner. She handed us the key, and we stood there and took in just how pretty the English Room truly was. Yellow walls and blue bedding. Rose petals and Glass stones were put on the bed. We were given a bowl of candies, but the best part was the truffles that waited for us in the room. Their attention to detail was amazing. When it came to the next day we were awakened by a gentle knock on the door and hot tea and coffee on a tray. Breakfast was magnificent! We didn't need to eat to dinner, there was so much food! It was the perfect meal. Spiced apples, scones, and a HUGE Strawberry crepe! I've never had one better! We were having difficulties with things that were happening about town, and Rachel spoke to someone to make sure that we were able to get to things we normally couldn't. I and my sister stayed there 2 days. It was the most wonderful time. In my opinion, Rachel and Jim Bennett went above the beyond the call to make sure our vacation in Forks was perfect. Thank you so much Rachel and Jim.

Great hosts, incredible breakfasts, very clean, a delightful place to stay. Forks dining itself is somewhat limited but you can get good food. The scenery at the beaches (Second and Rialto in our case) was terrific. Hoh Rainforest, definitely worth it. Enjoyed Sol Duc Falls.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Misty Valley Inn in September. The room was comfortable and had an adjoining bath. The view off the back deck was a evergreen tree farm, which was very peaceful. Being a split level, we had the privacy we wanted on the upper level while Jim and Rachel used the lower level. Jim's breakfast was especially notable. :-) I would certainly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone visiting that area of Washington.

From the moment you arrive at Misty Valley Inn you are treated as a special guest. Rachael and Jim are so welcoming and helpful and go to extraordinary lengths to make sure you have a great stay in the area. We stayed in the English room and the room presentation was exceptional. The bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water and total serenity. As for the Breakfast - pure Ambrosia!! Perfect table presentation, food to titillate the senses and enough, that lunch is optional. If you want a perfect, serene place to stay whilst in Forks, Misty Valley Inn is the place to go. Most definitely will return to stay when next in the area. Ngaire Wagga Wagga, Australia

Rachel and Jim are very gracious, friendly, and helpful Innkeepers at Misty Valley. We found Misty Valley to be a quiet and private setting, with attractive rooms, lush flower gardens and great views. It is very centrally located for hiking, rafting, beachcombing and sightseeing around Olympic National Park, Forks, and surrounding areas. Other B&B's serve a one-size-fits-all breakfast at one time, but Rachel and Jim let you order from a gourmet selection of breakfasts, and then choose the time for your breakfast! On top of that, they deliver morning wake-up coffee to your door at the time of your choosing! If we had known all of this, we would have stayed longer at this one location and coordinated more of our vacation from this central location. Thank you Rachel and Jim for a great time!

The rooms were very nice and cozy , the breakfasts were amazing , the hosts ( Jim and Rachel ) are great , very friendly and made us feel at home. The best B&B i have ever been to and would go back without a doubt. I really appreciated that they even gave my Girlfriend Posters of Jacob from the Twilight Saga , A Great Place and i would highly recommend Misty Valley to anyone considering a B&B.
5 on September 26, 2011
This was the best B&B breakfast we have ever had. There were 5 choices of entrees and each person could choose any of the five. The hosts were friendly but also gave us plenty of space to do our own thing. Beautiful views of the valley from their wide, inviting deck, and wildlife all around the feeders on the balcony. I would highly recommend Mist Valley Inn!

We enjoyed our stay at Misty Valley Inn. I should note that our expectations for cleanliness, service, etc. are high, so it is difficult to exceed them. This B&B generally met or our high expectations. Our room (Dutch Room) was large with a nice deck. The overall value would have met our expectations if there had been breakfast choices that were not loaded with sugar and carbs. The breakfasts were large (spiced fruit, cinnamon rolls, waffles, pancakes, french toast, crepes), but we would have preferred fresh fruit, eggs and breakfast meat choices, as well. For those with a sweet tooth, you will love the complimentary cookies, cakes, scones, etc. that are available all day.
5 on September 24, 2011
My husband and I stayed at this bed and breakfast and had a wonderful experience. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed in the English room which is beautiful and made up in blues and yellows. The bathroom was a very nice size for a B&B. The after-dinner desserts were tasty and the breakfast was also very good, although there was way too much food. In the morning, they bring coffee/tea to your room with a wake-up knock (the room does not have an alarm clock). They have a few little extra touches for the Twilight crowd if that is what brings you to Forks. The B&B is just north of Forks, but still very close to town.

We spent two nights at the Misty Valley Inn and had a great time. Rachel's scones are simplyy the best and Rachel made our stay unforgettable. Thank you very much Rachel. Whenever in Washington, we will be glad to come back to the Misty Valley Inn.

My wife and I spent 14 days in the Olympic Peninsula and our stay at the Misty Valley Inn was certainly the most delightful. Rachel and Jim are such friendly and warm hosts that we would have liked to spend more than the 2 days we stayed at the Inn. We were spoiled by the beautiful and cozy room (Irish room), by the abundant and absolutely delicious breakfasts and the desserts at tea time or bed time. The inn is on a beautiful property by route 101, far enough not to be noisy and it has a patio overlooking a "misty valley". It is 20 minutes from Rialto Beach and the trail head for Second Beach, both must-sees. We would love to return to the Inn.

This was my husbands and I first time staying at a B&B. Both Rachel and Jim were very nice. The service was outstanding! The snacks they had were delicious! They made us feel at home. I would highly recommend this B&B Inn to anyone!

If you have a raging sweet tooth, this is the place for you. Otherwise, it is a dietary and nutritional disaster. There are half a dozen breakfast choices, all but one so sweet they set your teeth on edge, the other an omelet swimming in bechamel sauce. Sideboard set all evening with several high-calorie desserts (cakes, lemon bars, etc.). Homemade truffles at bedside. Delicious, but far from healthy. We were craving fresh fruit and less elaborate breakfasts. Owners very friendly and leave you alone - do not hover over you, so you don't feel like you are in their house. But do need a sign at front door, it does look like a regular houses and we initially were unsure if we were at the right place. Fantastic landscaping, gorgeous view from back deck, and quiet.

One of the most comfortable bed and breakfasts I have visited. Every detail is carefully manicured and the rooms are meticulously clean and beautiful. The food is decadent and delicious and candy in every room! I most definitely recommend Misty Valley Inn to anyone traveling in the Forks region!

This was our first time staying at a Bed & Breakfast, and it was a wonderful experience. I wouldn't hesitate staying at another because of this stay here. The property is beautiful, the hosts were very welcoming and the food was out of this world. Jim and Rachel were very nice people and made us feel right at home. The rooms are decorated beautifully. We had strawberry crepes for breakfast that were wonderful! I would recommend this B&B to anyone!

Too much food: plenty of evening desert, morning waking up beverages, three-course-breakfast: hot canned-peace with cream, muffins, three stacks of tripple-berry, double-nut pancake frost with white sugar(this is my wrong choice, there are others)--no one can eat that much food that is loaded with sugar, very sweet, too sweet that will numb your taste buds. Few can eat all of the food in his plate. The owner is very friendly; at the moment you arrive he shows you around and asks many questions of food choice that I wish I do not have to go through, way too much for me. Using an alarm clock is prohibited, which is good not to walk up other people. I prefer a single knock on the door not with a bed table full of beverages you have deal with. A simple breakfast with few choices would be sufficient. If the owner wants to know the choice have the menu in the room for fill in instead of answering so many questions in person unless the lodgeer wants to. We stayed in the English Room, which is fairly small. Decor is girlie, cute. I wish I don't have to pick up so dozens of glass beads and fake rose pedals on the bed and put aside before crawling in bed. The room is clean. The surrounding is pleasant. There is hot tub under the deck. My GPS cannot find the location in Forks. I later find out it is not in Forks but north of Forks on Hwy 101.

My wife and I were extremely pleased with our visit to the Misty Valley Inn. All aspects of our stay completely exceeded my expectations. The property was conveniently located to the main road and to many desireable features of Olympic National Park. It was also very attractive and well maintained with lovely gardens. The hosts are warm and attentive, and successfully balance being engaging with giving their guests their space. The rooms were wonderful, clean, stylish and homey. We much appreciated the ability to choose our wake up time and time of breakfast. The delivery of tea and coffee directly to the room was a nice touch. The breakfast menu and selection was terrific and the food was expertly prepared and served. We felt extremely pampered and our only regret was not being able to stay for additional nights.

We chose to stay in Forks because it was so much closer to the Olympic National Park beaches and the Hoh Rain Forest, and we were not disappointed. The Misty Valley Inn was a wonderful place to stay - clean, comfortable, and quiet, plus a beautiful setting with a deck to enjoy the view (both during breakfast and in the evening), a hot tub to relax in at night, and more delicious breakfast than anyone could possibly finish! The hosts were welcoming, helpful, and knowledgable about the area. All around excellent, and a great value.

This was my second stay at the Misty Valley Inn. The first stay, four years ago, was wonderful, and my latest stay (August, 2011) was similarly delightful. The ambiance isn't particularly romantic, more that of a comfortable suburban home than a cute, tucked-away bungalow, but three characteristics more than make up for this: the Bennetts are exceedingly gracious hosts, the rooms are well-appointed, and the dessert and breakfast are absolutely awe-inspiring. Overall, the Misty Valley Inn is an extraordinary value.

We stayed at the Misty Valley Inn for one night in July - we should have stayed for two! We had the English room which was nicely decorated, had a spacious bathroom and comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious and the hosts were extremely pleasant. The highlight of the stay however, were the cakes and pastries which were waiting for us when we arrived. We skipped dessert in the restaurant so that we had room for more when we got back!! We would definitely recommend this B&B.

The only problem was trying not to eat too many of the terrific brownies. Location, rooms, innkeepers were excellent. Met very interesting people, had a wonderful time. Forks is well located to see much of the Olympic Peninsula.

My husband and I did not know very much about Twilight when we reserved 3 nights at Misty Valley Inn however we did feel when we left that there was a little magic in the air. This was the kind of magic that results from a lot of hard work, planning, and attention to detail from he hosts Jim and Rachel. The Inn was located at the perfect place from which to explore the Olympic Park but I also found myself anxious to return to the Inn because this was just such a wonderful place to be. Everything you needed was right there. Hot drinks and special deserts were available all day. The breakfasts were to die for. I loved Rachel's stories almost as much as her chocolate cake and please do not miss a tour of Jim extensive colorful flower garden (s). The hot tub was roaring and the view from our room fantastic. We highly recommend the Misty Valley Inn, a great value for the comfort and service provided, but also and magical place for some exploring and delicious pampering. Susan and Michael Shomers

Everything was very enjoyable. We stayed in the English room and everything was nice and clean. I enjoyed the firm mattress, but my wife wished for a softer one. Waking up with hot chocolate was great and the owners were very helpful in making plans. Both days breakfast took a little longer to prepared than we expected, but it was nice to talk with the other guests while waiting. If you are on a super tight schedule a regular hotel might be easier, but if you are wanting to relax I'd say this is the best choice in the area.

Rachel & Jim are the warmest, nicest people ever & the home is decorated beautifully, yet comfortably - between those 2 things my husband & I felt at home immediately. Our bed was very comfortable & the room was spacious. The wake-up trays we received detailing the days' weather & low/high tides were a great addition to a pretty rose and the best mugs of hot chocolate we've ever had in our lives. Breakfast is so excellent, you won't need to eat lunch that day. The food is AMAZING here! To top it off, Rachel has homemade desserts with coffee & tea available to guests every evening (& they are just as good as breakfast!) The variety of birds & chipmunks we watched as we ate out meals was great entertainment - the property is just beautiful. You can tell a lot of love & caring goes into every detail of this B&B. It was hard to leave...we wouldn't mind moving in & having Rachel & Jim take care of us forever! We will definitely stay again next time our travels take us here. Good access to Olympic NP (our destination)

We needed a rest from a busy year and found it in abundance at this inn. Welcomed by Rachel into a spacious living/dining area, we were able to choose from 5 or 6 gourmet breakfasts for the following morning. Afterward, she showed us to our room overlooking the valley which was misty the following morning. We got the only King Sized bed (the rest are queens). On the deck each morning, we were able to prop up our feet and read with a cup of coffee and await breakfast. Other guests were younger than us, ranging from well behaved teens to middle aged and hailing from Asia, Europe and a number of the states. Most only stayed one nite, but several couples stayed three days. Very good company. Altho Rachel serves no meat, the breakfasts were very satisfying. For meals in nearby Forks and La Push, she knew the places that served quality meals and we are glad we stayed with her recommendations. If you're dieting, either forget it or bring an extra measure of self control. Her brownies, choc.chip cookies, gooey butter cake are under your nose all day and most of the nite. Our last evening, she sabotaged us with a cheesecake. Too late to have time to cool down, it was delicious warm. If I had eaten a cold slice, I would probably stolen the whole thing and brought it back to St. Louis. Jim is the quieter of the team, but thoroughly gracious and accommodating. They let us use their fridge for personal items and we pretty much had the run of the house.

My partner and I were fortunate to spend one evening at the Misty Valley Inn and regret it wasn't several days longer! We enjoyed our evening at the Inn- especially the hot tub whilst watching wildlife and enjoying the surrounding nature. The bed was amazing and the hot chocolate was more than perfect! We had to leave early so we didn't get to partake in the lovely breakfast on the menu, however, our sack breakfast has delicious ripe fruit, yogurt, yummy muffins and cheese. It was just right for our travels. The innkeepers were friendly and welcoming! Nearby hiking in the rainforest and beaches are breathtaking. We plan to go back for several days of solitude and relaxing as soon as we can make it back to the West Coast!

Couldn't find nicer, sweeter people than these innkeepers. They provide guests with many small amenities that make you feel at home. Hot tub was excellent after a long day. Innkeepers went above and beyond, even allowing us to dry some clothes in their dryer. Only drawback was rooms were not huge, but adequate for our stay. Bathroom was plenty spacious. Breakfast was out of this world. Gourmet food from this cook. If you're going to the western side of Olympic Nat'l Park or anywhere near Forks or the coast of Washington, STAY HERE! You won't be disappointed.

A very welcoming greeting awaits you when you arrive at Misty Valley Inn. The hosts are friendly and helpful providing lots of ideas for sightseeing. The food is amazing with many choices. Delicious homemade snacks are always available too. Only one caveat: we enjoyed the hottub but found our swimsuits ended up with a musty odor that we cannot remove. Not sure what that is about since the water did not smell musty. If you go in the hottub, go naked.

Visited on July 30, 2011. The Irish room's bathroom sink isn't in the bathroom, but rather in an honest-to-god closet outside the bathroom, adjacent to the bed!!?! Seriously. Not a very hygenic setup & definitely not ok in a $140 /night b&b. The wall-mounted industrial soap+shampoo dispensers are more typically found in cheap motels, not upscale b&b's. The bed mattress also seemed pretty old as it squeeked pretty loudly. While breakfast featured multiple courses and attentive, the food was honestly subpar. The french toast was overly soaked in custard and ended up like more of a quiche than french toast, & the texture of the pancakes were off (the berries inside were great, but the outside was rubbery). The muffins were nice in that they weren't too sweet, but it was surprising to have no jam or butter on-the-side to go with them. Jim & Rachel should consider offering an additional, simpler breakfast option (eggs done any way with toast or bagel). I'd rather have less volume of simpler food well prepared, than a large volume of food with suspect cooking. Overall sub-par b&b compared to most others we've stayed at.

This is a great B&B. We had two rooms for two couples and each was very nicely appointed. The owner, Rachel, was wonderful... very nice to talk with and had a superb ability to vanish when the guests were involved in their own conversations. The breakfast was wonderful. We all had something different, and there were no complaints and a lot of full stomachs. The only very minor criticism is that the beds (at least in my room) could use a new mattress. It wasn't uncomfortable, per se, just a little worn. This would be the place I stay if I ever come back to Forks.
4.0 on July 27, 2011
This was the second of three B&B's I stayed in as I traveled my way around the western part of Washington. It was lovely! The innkeeper was kind and genuine, and the food fabulous. The Inn itself was beautiful, as it overlooked the valley from a large deck which was perfect for reading and relaxing. The Innkeeper keeps nicely stocked boxes of sunflower seeds out on the deck for the birds, squirrels, and chipmunks. The little critters were totally entertaining as they posed for pictures,(honestly), and squabbled over whose turn it was to eat. Of the three for that weekend this Inn was the highlight.

The first instinct is to remain speechless.... The hosts are enchanting, the rooms are like living a real fairy tale and the place is quiet and supplied with magnificent view on the valley trees. Small animals friendly approach you on the balcony. The breakfast is a painting with hundreds of colors and the taste you do not recall anymore. All at a very reasonable price. Suggested to all kinds of guests.

Special touches of candies, deserts, coffee and tea are there for your enjoyment. Lovely views over green meadows. Jim and Rachel are welcoming, hospital hosts but non-intrusive. Plus they are great cooks. The coffee tray is fit for royalty. We'll go back in a heartbeat but will spend more than one night. Great starting point to explore the park.

That is the only word to describe how we felt and how we were treated. In this small, out of the way town, we found one of the most delightful B & B's! We have traveled in Europe and in America and this place ranks right at the top of our list of great places. The breakfast was amazing and while the quantity was a bit too much for me the quality was superb! Hosts were prepared with suggestions and information and were most gracious. If one is a "Twilight-o-phile" Jim and Rachel will have all the appropriate tips to maximize the experience. If, like we were, you are simply enjoying the PNW you will love this place!!

The B&B is a sunny place in the middle of the rainforrest. The hostpitallity with a good sense of humor has warmed ua after a long trip. The amond of food and the good quality of it was byond our capability to "absorb" it all. We Eoropeans usually eat smaller breakfasts, but in this case it was hard to resist. Even on a rainy day as we had you can sit in the ample lounge and enjoy the view from the house and the birds and squirles feeding on the deck. There is a word used much more generally then aplicable. In this case however I would give the Misty Valley Inn the nomer "awesome".

My husband and I have stayed at many bed and breakfasts in many different areas, but we've never experienced such service with so much attention to detail. It truly was a treat to stay at Misty Valley Inn from the moment our stay began until we left. Amazing desserts were waiting when we arrived, and when we were asked to choose from 6 amazing breakfast options we were stunned. Our morning began with coffee delivered to our room, on a beautiful tray complete with a fresh rose. Our room was very comfortable, and it seemed as if every room had amazing views. I would heartily recommend the Misty Valley Inn to anyone who will be visiting the Forks area, whether as a Twilight fan or as rain forest and beach lovers. Jim and Rachel have plenty of information about each, and are eager to help you get the most enjoyment possible in the area.

If you love hummingbirds... you'll love this place! We had a great stay and recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic stay in the forest.

After hiking around our beloved Olympic peninsula all day we arrived at the Misty Valley Inn quite weary; however, the genuine greeting by our hosts (plus the offer of freshly baked cookies) perked us up immediately. The view from our room (the Dutch) was spectacular. In the morning we drank our coffee (delivered on a tray complete with rose and the day's pertinent information-sunrise, tides, etc) on our private deck watching the plethora of hummingbirds at the feeders. The innkeepers' suggestions as well as the history of the area was terrific. This B & B is a hidden gem which we will visit again when we return.

I stayed for 3 nights at Misty Valley Inn and it was wonderful! Very peaceful atmosphere inside and out. Rachel and Jim were very helpful in providing information about area restaurants and activities. The food was AMAZING. I had thought this vacation would have been a one-time visit, but I am already planning to go back ASAP. Highly recommend Misty Valley.

Nice place to visit the coast line at Olympic National Park. Owners are very friendly and give a very good service. We only stayed one night but we´d definitely come back here. Rialto beach around 12 miles away, at Olympic National Park, made our jaws drop to the floor.

We enjoyed our stay at the Misty Valley Inn so much we wished we had planned an additional day's stay. The service was was great and we felt very comfortable. My husband and I keep talking about how fabulous the food was and how beautiful and the scenic views were from the Inn. We would recommend this B&B to everyone.

I would highly recommend Misty Valley Inn to anyone wanting to stay along the Washington Coast. The hosts, Jim and Rachel were wonderful and went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. The breakfasts were outstanding and I only wish I could have stayed longer to try all the different dishes Rachel offers each morning. There was never a lack of mouth watering deserts to try throughout the day either. My room was beautifully decorated and the grounds were ablaze with a variety of outdoor plants. The Inn is located just outside of Forks and is close to two major beaches and within easy driving distance to some of the other beaches, so there is plenty to keep you busy during the day. I hope to visit there again.

Our hosts were wonderful and extremely helpful in recommending things to do and see. Breakfasts were amazing and so filling, they counted as both breakfast and lunch! We stayed in the Dutch room which was very comfortable and spacious, and the view was outstanding. There were also lots of hummingbirds that came to the feeder by our window! A wonderful experience, I would highly recommend it.

This was a great one-night stopover for my husband and I as we traveled around the Olympic peninsula. We received lots of information from the innkeepers, and the evening snacks were wonderful. Breakfast was fantastic and very entertaining as we watched the many hummingbirds, Stellar's jays and chipmunks visiting the feeders just outside the window. We would definitely stay here again!

The hosts were great, breakfast outstanding, and the setting of the home very nice. Only problem was I was slightly overcharged at check-out. Apparently they had changed their rates but still had the old ones on the website. When I pointed this out, they refunded the overcharge.

This was a wonderful stay at a wonderful inn in a wonderful area! We spent 3 nights at Misty Valley Inn and it was a very relaxing, tranquil experience; it felt like being at home but at the same time escaping everyday reality. The inn was comfortable and nicely decorated with lots of finishing touches and Jim and Rachel were very welcoming. In the morning we would be woken up with a tap on the door and a tray of drinks at the time of our choosing. We were then treated to a large sumptious breakfast, again at the time of our choosing, during which we could look out at the beautiful valley and watch the squirrels, chipmunks and variety of birds feeding from the seed trays. In the evening when we returned we could sit outside on the deck and watch the elk grazing, read the numerous books on offer or retreat to the lounge and watch TV or DVD's, all whilst enjoying a number of freshly baked cakes and cookies. The inn is also in a great location, very close to Forks, and near a number of the Olympic National Park attractions like the Hoh Rainforest, Sol Duc Springs and many of the beaches. We would love to come back and stay at the inn again and visit more of the area.

This place is a little paradise, with the birds, the squirls and of course Rachel and Jim. Rachel is a wonderful cook and pays attention to every detail. We felt like king and queen. Thank you Zehava and Izhar

My sis and I visited Misty Valley Inn for two nights last week and absolutely couldn't believe the royal treatment we received! The Bennetts are extremely gracious people with a lovely B&B. The landscaping is breathtaking, the rooms nicely decorated, and there is easy access to the western entrances to Olympic NP and Rialto Beach (we were in Forks for the hiking, not the vampires!) Your wakeup call includes coffee/tea brought right to your door. Breakfast is a multi-course yum-fest with enough tasty calories to put you in a food coma, but it certainly got us off to a great start each morning. Desserts and tea were out in the dining area each night to finish off the evening. While the bed linens and towels were fresh and high-quality, my only complaint at all is that the bed in the English room was a bit firm for my comfort. We LOVED this place and couldn't believe that we paid the same amount as we would've for a middle-grade hotel. Will definitely stay here again if we're back in the area!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Misty Valley B&B in Forks, Washington for 2 nights. The place surpassed my expectations. The owners Jim, his wife Rachel and their staff were nothing but hospitable and very welcoming. While there my boyfriend and I stayed in the French Room which was very comfortable and cozy. Each morning you are awoken by a soft knock at your door and your choice of either tea, coffee or hot chocolate as your wake-up call. Later on during breakfast you have a various selection of delicious breakfast items. I had the Strawberry Crepes on day 1 and on day 2 I had the Apple Souffle, each one very filling and simply delicious. I cannot express how much I enjoyed my stay at Misty Valley Inn B&B through this review, because you will have to just come discover it yourself. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who decides to stay in the Forks area.

My recent stay at Misty Valley Inn was awesome. Everything was outstanding... the room I booked was a little small (but cozy) - but then I was the one who booked it (so no complaints). The food was great - the evening we checked in, there was cakes, and brownies, tea/coffee... Jim went over local attractions in great details - helped us plan the evening and dinner. After we came back from dinner, we all sat in the living room and chatted bout different stuff while watching TV - kind of reminded me about the after-dinner chats back home in India. In the morning, as we had breakfast watching the birds and squirrells and the "misty valley."

Great place! We and all other guests were pampered and treated wonderfully. Home and location is beautiful. Area is full of great activities. Beaches and wilderness and rain forests and pampering. Who could ask for more? We will return.

We loved this B&B, our first experience of American hospitality. Rachel and Jim made us feel very welcome and the attention to detail was superb. We had the French Room which was lovely and comfy. Breakfasts were a real treat as was the morning cuppa, and buffet of cakes and more tea and coffee. Our only regret? That we only had two nights here.

My wife and I had a great time at the Misty Valley Inn. We stayed for 3 nights and loved the time we spent there. Rachel and Jim were great hosts and went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. The location is great and puts you within easy distance to Rialto Beach, Second Beach, Cape Flattery, Hoh Rain Forest, and the Sol Duc Valley. We went to a different place every day and Forks was right in the middle. Rachel and Jim were able to give a lot of advice about when to go to the different places and which beaches were their favorites. They also sit down and review all the local restaurants with you and provide you with menus so you know what to expect. The breakfasts at the Inn were incredible and since there are not very good dining options in Forks, it's nice to have a delicious breakfast to look forward to before a day of hiking. The rooms were clean and the bedding comfortable. There is a fridge in the house to store leftovers if you want and a microwave to heat food up. Also, desserts and tea are available in the dining room at all hours. My only regret is we never found the time to take advantage of the hot tub (which was also one of the reasons we chose the Inn) Overall, we highly recommend the Misty Valley Inn without reservation. Next time we visit Olympic Penninsula we will definitely stay there.
5 on June 18, 2011
Rachel and Jim were very welcoming and treated us like we were just another couple of people in their family. The breakfasts were very good and the wake up service with coffee was wonderful. The views, birds and location were phenomenal and I couldn't have asked for anything better. We will definitely recommend friends and family and we will go back one day!

This was our second stay at Misty Valley Inn and it was just as fantastic as the first! We don't get to take vacations but once or twice a year and this place is well worth the trip! They are very helpful and make you feel like you are a guest in their house rather than staying in a B&B. Food is fantastic, it filled us up enough that we were able to skip lunch. They will help you with anything you need, places to visit, eat, anything. Can't say enough good things about them! My only complaint is that I can't stay more often!

We stayed one night in the French Room at the Misty Valley Inn. The inn is located a couple of miles outside of Forks on a hillside with a wonderful view over a large field of newly planted trees. The small room was charmingly decorated. The common room is quite large and is stocked with literature on the area. It also was a good place to watch the birds and squirrel come to eat the seeds put out on the deck railing. We had no interest in watching TV, but a large screen TV was available in a separate room shared by the guests. Rachel and Jim are excellent hosts who know the area and the Olympic National Park well. Rachel gave us a couple of excellent suggestions as to what to see and what to avoid during our visit to the park. In the morning, they served an excellent breakfast which they were able to modify to meet our need for a dairy-free meal without compromising the excellent quality of the food in the least.

The Inn was beyond beautiful. Breakfast was outside in the sun with the birds and squirrels all around and it was simply great. The food was amazing too. I loved the place and I would like to go again and again

The innkeepers were out of town during our visit. The girls in charge didn't miss a beat even with a full house. Great value for a well run B&B. Breakfast and snacks were delicious. Very convenient to Forks, Hoh Rain Forest and Rialto Beach.
4.2 on June 07, 2011
Owners Rachel and Jim keep the bird feeders filled on their deck, thus providing extravagant entertainment for guests. Birds flit, sing, and display their colors in a constantly moving array. Rachel's baking -- cakes, brownies, and lemon bars on the day we were there -- is worth a visit in itself. We appreciated the wide selection of books about the natural history and human history of the area.
5 on June 06, 2011
From the moment we pulled in we felt welcomed. Jim met us at the door and immediately started the tour. The house was beautiful, clean, and cozy. We walked out on the deck and beheld a stunning view of mountains covered in mist and elk grazing among the young spruce trees. Our room was cleaned to perfection with a beautiful bed display. Jim gave us all the information we needed about the best restaurants in the area and the most popular tourist sites. He then took our breakfast order and we were blown away by the choices. The food was amazing! Rachel is a wonderful cook and baker. Talk about gourmet! We felt like royalty! If it were possible to upload photos I would because words cannot describe. We had originally planned to stay only one night but decided to stay another because we enjoyed it so much! If you're staying in the Forks area you should definitely give Misty Valley Inn a try!

The scenery off the deck of the Inn is beautiful, and I enjoyed the hummingbirds and the proximity to town. The room was okay- nothing special. If you're looking for a quiet place, this would fit the bill. For us, it was oddly quiet, and like staying a relative's house- a relative that you've never met. Awkward. The food was okay- not as good as the description. The innkeepers were friendly- I liked their dogs. I would not go back in favor of a more commercial operation.

My partner and I headed out to peninsula for a relaxing weekend, and boy howdy did we get it! Kara and Kaylene (the young, spirited, employees) were incredibly accomodating and helpful. We felt utterly pampered in this cozy B&B. The food is unforgettable, decadent even. Can't say enough great things about breakfast. The morning hot beverage wake-up is the perfect way to start the day. The entire experience was lovely thanks to the special touches at Misty Valley Inn. Twilight fans will really sink their teeth into this home away from home. Plenty of privacy, but no shortage of attention. Can't wait to go back!

We had a truly wonderful experience here. Kara and Kayleen went out of their way to make us more comfortable than we thought possible. From the food (fresh coffee and juice brought to our room, a gourmet breakfast with poached pears and cream, eggs and fresh fruit muffins; always-available teas, coffee, hot chocolate and fresh baked cake and cookies) to the beautiful deck overlooking the valley with local wildlife wandering and flying by -- it was an exceptional stay. Thank you!

I am a frequent traveler and often stay at B&Bs and Guest Houses. Misty Valley is by far the best value and best I've ever stayed at. Everywhere I stay from now on has to live up to some pretty high standards!

My husband and I stayed here for 7 days as part of our honeymoon. We could not have been happier with the food and the people and the service. The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for...quiet, in a private area away from the cities, and involving nature. The breakfasts are huge! (We ended up asking for half portions) But they are amazing! Everything is made fresh for you. I cannot express how much we loved this place and hope to visit again soon! This B&B made our entire trip! After a long day exploring the National Park, there was nothing better than coming home to a comfortable home with delicious deserts to choose from and all the coffee and tea you could ask for! Each room is designed to be relaxing and the staff was so knowledgable about the park and what to go see. Breakfast was spectacular; there are no other words to describe it. My husband and I tried four different items over the course of the time we were there and nothing disappointed; in fact, it all exceeded our expectations. We would recommend this to anyone and plan on returning again as well!

Perfect place to relax and get away from the city. The Dutch room had the best view in the whole place. we enjoyed seeing elk right from our bed. Along with watching the many different colors of birds, and the chipmunks were cute. One of the best times i had with my girlfriend. Hope to have many more just like that with her in the future.

Our girls gave us a B&B Gift Certificate for mother’s day 2010. We spent it on our 45th anniversary 2011 at Misty Valley Inn for two nights. This could well become a tradition. Rachel and Jim are the most considerate and caring hosts I have known. They were always wanting to know what more they could do for us. There was a great welcome with coffee, tea, and treats on the spot. When I booked the room, in kidding, I asked for a lemon meringue pie and there it was. I even requested chocolate crust and WOW. Cleanest room we have ever rented. There was tea and coffee with a little good morning tap tap on the door at our requested time. No alarm clocks allowed. THANKS. The breakfast was made to order and at the time we wanted. Breakfast lasted way past lunch, even had a couple of breakfast muffins for the road. The breakfast didn’t come out of a box. It was made from scratch from recipes developed to please the taste buds. Thank You Rachel & Jim. We enjoyed.

Misty Valley Inn is located in Forks, WA. It was a great getaway for my wife and I for our 7th anniversary. There is so much to see and do in the area. We love hikes and that was one of the main draws to the area and the Misty Valley Inn is located well for short drives to the trailheads. The food was excellent and our hosts Rachel and Jim really made you feel at home and took great care of us. They let us know about the local sites and eating establishments and were there to answer any questions we had. A wonderful time in general and would love to go back as there was so much more we wanted to do. Thanks again!

Great service, great food, lovely property. Wish we could've stayed longer. The rooms were comfortable, a little out-dated, but no complaints here.

The food was great, the room was amazing, the staff where kind, understanding, and extremely helpful. Best bed and breakfast I've ever stayed at ever. The rooms were themed by different nationalities. We stayed in the Irish Room. They put rose petals on our bed for some twilight thing. I personally hate twilight, but it was still really cute and sweet. We stayed there for our 2 year anniversary and when hiking in the Hoh Rain forest and went to Second Beach and Realto Beach (which was recommended by the staff and was really beautiful). Great place to stay if your hiking, or just want a romantic get away.

Our first time at a B&B, and it will be hard to surpass. Jim and Rachel are wonderful hosts, and gave us lots of tips of places to visit and we loved them all. It's like visiting family. We stayed in two different rooms (our choice) and loved both. Waking up looking out over the valley was so soothing and relaxing, followed by the gentle tapping of coffee delivered outside the room to get you moving. The food was spectacular and generous portions. We would love to go back to the Olympic Peninsula and when we do, we will definitely stay at Misty Valley again.

We stayed for one night deciding to try a B&B for our first time. It was not what I expected compared to all these amazing reviews. The pictures are a little decieving if you go in the winter/spring when its raining and barely sunny because everything looks completely different. It was still a lot of fun. We went in the hot tub and watched a movie and enjoyed some food in town, but all in all, Forks is Forks. You shouldn't expect too much. However, we will definitely come back because there is no where nicer to stay that is as cheap as this! Although I am tempted to try the Red Lion in PA. The breakfast was tasty but definitely not 5-star. All in all, if you want to feel like your at your old Aunts house that you just met and you don't mind whispering all the time so you don't bother people in the other rooms, this is the place for you. Try the Chinese in town. Its good food, awkward place, what you would expect from forks, but the food is fast and tasty. Rachel and Jim were sweet but again, the B&B was a little awkward considering they assumed we were Twilight fans and kept making Twilight comments. The Black Spice Chai tea was great in the morning with some Splenda. Went and picked some up as soon as I got home! All in all I would rate this trip a 3.5/5. But compared to all the other places in the area to stay a 5/5! I'm from the city so many my expectations were a little high. Enjoy! Thanks!

I have never stayed at a B & B before, I have to say the Misty Vally Inn is an amazing place. The room was so clean i thought that it had never been slepted in before. I have stayed in a lot of hotels but after staying at Misty Vally Inn i will think twice before staying in another hotel. The owner is an amazing women. She answered any question we needed and is a great help if you are finding places to go. She is also an amazing cook! The only problem i had was that she dosen't cook dinner. Because, if she did i dont know i would have ever ate out. I know this sounds to good of a place to stay but it is. The whole team were so sweet, they made me feel like a queen. If i'm ever in Forks again, i will be staying there again.

We had such a great time here! Jim was extraordinarily friendly from the moment we arrived! After arranging our morning coffee, and breakfast, we went to our room to find rose petals on the bed! There were also chocolates on the night stand in a small dish. They make all their food homemade, and it's delicious! Home made brownies and Lemon Bars were available all day every day. The inn was very quiet, even with another couple staying each night as well. Compared to other reviews, I have to say I never heard anyone else in the house from our room. For those who miss TV entertainment in the evening, they have a large flat screen HDTV, DVD/ Blue Ray Player, and Wii. Although we used the room to play Sequence and Uno instead. Breakfast was another big hit with us! It started with hot spiced fruit (one day was pears, the other was apples). Then you get home made freshly baked muffins (one day was blueberry, another was raspberry). And finally, you get 5 star quality breakfast! I had the Apple Souffle, and Irish Waffles with Pecans and Orange syrup. Both were outstanding. The grounds are beautiful even in the winter! I would reccomend this B&B to anyone looking for a high quality place to stay in or near Forks, WA. It's close to the Hoh Rainforest, La Push, Lake Crescent and Port Angeles. We'll definitely be staying at the Misty valley Inn again!

We couldn't be more pleased with our stay at Misty Valley Inn. Jim and Rachel are very gracious hosts and made our stay very enjoyable. We stayed in the English Room and were quite comfortable - felt very much like being at home! A lot of little touches (e.g., candy dish in the room, great smelling soap, fresh desserts available anytime, etc..) were very noticeable and very much appreciated. One word of advice, though - unless you have a huge appetite for a big breakfast, plan on splitting the breakfast with someone. The Triple Berry pancakes were delicious but ENORMOUS! The Moroccan omelet was great, too but can be shared as well. Overall, you couldn't ask for a better place to stay in Forks than the Misty Valley Inn - we'll be back!

The purpose of my stay was for a long, deserved Sabbatical: a place to read, write and enjoy my surroundings with little to no hype, set my own agenda and pace, pretty much be left to my own bidding. I couldn't have asked for a better place to be! The surrounding views were absolutely magnificent, the owners, Jim and Rachel were delightful and very helpful when I needed. Otherwise, I was free to do what I came to do. My wishes for privacy were respected and company when needed. The amenities were truly delightfully charming. I would definitely stay again. Hopefully, it won't be too long before I take another Sabbatical.

My boyfriend and I went to Misty Valley Inn for my birthday. I have to say I could not have asked for better. Rachel was so nice and full of information. It is very relaxing there. The food was the best we have had in a long long time. Every thing was homemade and so good. Just like when mom or grandma would make breakfast. We loved it! I can't say enough about this place. We can't wait to go back.

Recently my husband and I stayed in the Dutch room at the Misty Valley Inn near Forks, WA. When we arrived, we were graciously met at the door by the owner/manager. There were freshly baked, homemade confections to enjoy as we toured our room, the scenic balcony and hot tub, the dining room, living room, and kitchen. Our hostess answered all our questions about the area easily and had great advice about places to eat and visit during our stay. Breakfast the next morning was delicious! I highly recommend this B&B experience to anyone traveling in the area, whether or not you are familiar with the Twilight Series. My husband is not a Twilight fan, but also found the Forks area and this B&B in particular to be well above his expectations. Thank you Misty Valley Inn!

My two daughter and myself stayed for 2 days and had a wonderful time. We were only booked for one day , but stayed 2 because it was the perfect place. Beds were clean and comfy. The house was beautiful. The staff very attentive.

Wonderful experience. Our first time at a B&B. Would definitely recommend this place to others. We'll be back. Wonderful service from the moment we arrived until we left. Way above and beyond what was expected.

Our stay at Misty Valley Inn was a true hidden gem. The meals were well above par and the location was central to all activities. Jim and Rachel were knowledgeable about the history and activities in the Olympic Area. We can hardly wait to go back.

Rachel and Jim are wonderful and accommodating hosts. Their knowledge of the area is fantastic, their inn is gorgeous, and I felt pampered by their service and the wonderful breakfast.

Wow! What an amazing honeymoon! Outstanding breakfast every day. Our innkeepers bent over backwards to give us a great honeymoon! From recommending sites to visit to keeping our wedding cake in their personal fridge to have some each day... We'll be back!

Everything was perfect: the cabin, the decor, the view, the hosts, the food. We can go on forever. We highly recommend it. Thanks again so much, Rachel and Jim!

Lovely accommodations & the most helpful B&B owners I have ever met -- & very entertaining as well. The breakfasts & desserts were most delicious.

I stayed at the Misty Valley Inn for three nights with my fiancee and we were blown away by the personal attention we received from the owners. We were treated to thoughtful wake-up trays, OUTSTANDING breakfast meals, and an overall attention to detail that exceeded what we've seen at other B&Bs. The trip to the hot tub on our last night sealed the deal in making the Misty Valley Inn the perfect place to stay during our adventure on the Olympic Peninsula. Highly recommended.

This B&B is so amazing! The food was really good and there was so much to eat. My morning wakeup call consisted of fresh brewed coffee and a note telling me what the weather is like outside. The presentation was beautiful. The owners were very sweet and very helpful! I am definitely going back as soon as I make my way to Forks again!

When we arrived the owners were out and we were shown around by their help. The kitchen was a huge mess (although dishes were done later, it stayed a mess). The area next to the kitchen is a bit of an office or so, also a mess. The common rooms (living, dining) and bed rooms are better. Alarm clocks are not allowed and you have to tell the hosts what time you want a wake up knock on your door (mandatory if you want breakfast), and what you want for breakfast. The breakfasts are great, but they are a bit too much and can take too long till served. The evening treats were very nice (lemon bars, brownies, etc.) and a huge variety of teas, wonderful. We stayed in the English room and the bed was plain awful. Very hard, after three nights both my husband and I had issues with our back, and we are not old people. We heard other people comment how much they liked their wonderful beds, so maybe the other rooms do have nicer beds. The walls of the English room are paper thin, you can hear your neighbor cough in the next room, and more... They try really hard to be special, but it falls short in a few respects. For instance, in the morning you get a tray with coffee or whatever you want at your door, with a fancy card with forecast etc. printed for the day. But on the other hand, the paint job in the bathroom and the bedroom ceiling is really bad, they skipped a few edges here and there. Everything is color coordinated (English room is yellow and blue) but at the same time there's dust, a dead insect and cob webs on my toilet paper holder. Great attention to some details, none to others. Often I felt like I was intruding, some times guests were whispering, as not to attract any attention. The view from the back patio is wonderful, and they always have bird seed out so you'll see birds and squirrels, very nice.

Owners away. No repartee with hostess except to ask for something...So no suggestions for interesting sightseeingetc. Breakfast servings TOO large, but delicious. French room - bathroom door did not slide closed. Lightbulb on dresser out. Bed quite high. We did have a pleasant stay Lovely location. Used the sitting room.

We traveled to WA with 2 other couples and were pleased to stay at this B&B. Not until we arrived there did we realize that Forks is the site of the Twilight series of novels. Our beds even had rose petals scattered across them. The service was excellent and the food "to die for"!
5 on October 11, 2010
The breakfast was outstanding, delicious, and everyone was given a choice of several breakfast items. We also enjoyed the tea tray wake-up in the A.M. Beautiful setting and we loved the many bird species that frequented the deck. Great place.

These guys were great. The service was so awesome I expected an upcharge when we left. The innkeepers welcomed us to their living room with delicious pastries, an invitation to browse their book collection about the rain forest and the coast (our draw to the area). Staying at the Misty Valley Inn felt like staying at a friend's house. The view from the back porch of a tree pasture shrouded in mist and Pacific Coast drizzle, with jays, squirrels and chipmunks feeding on the deck was great. Before we went to bed, Jim asked us what we wanted to eat for breakfast and what we wanted on our wake-up tray. A light knock on the door and a tray of coffee and tea at our feet woke us up the next morning and got us on our way to the rainforest. Breakfast was amazing, starting with spiced pears, and ending with amazing waffles. We will definitely come back to the Misty Valley Inn whenver our travels bring us back to the western end of the Olympic Peninsula. This is a great launching spot for enjoying the natural wonders of this remote and wild corner of our country. There are a lot of Twilight fans visiting the area too (we weren't in this group), but Jim and Rachel seemed very willing to accommodate Twilight fans and make their stay memorable without making their B & B seem cheesy. Great value. I highly recommend them.

My husband and I stayed at Misty Valley Inn for six nights. We originally reserved the English Room, but when we got there, they upgraded us for free to the master room (Dutch Room), and we were able to stay there for all but one night. That one night was pre-reserved by another couple. Rachel and Jim Bennett have a wealth of knowledge about the area, and they were eager to share local area dining tips, destinations, and more. They offer six different breakfast options, spiced fruit, and fresh muffins for breakfast every day. If you want your muffins to go, they'll put them in a ziplock. When I called to reserve our room months ago, I was asked for favorite desserts we had. Rachel made my husband two cheesecakes in the time we were there, and a variety of other desserts were never far away. Every morning they act as an alarm clock and knock quietly on the door at a requested time, leaving a tray of tea, coffee, or hot chocolate. Also included on the tray is a nice note with tide times, weather predictions, sunrise/sunset, and more. The Bennetts do their best to serve their guests, and we were always well taken care of at every time of the day. The rooms were clean, large, and well stocked with treats and towels. We highly recommend the Misty Valley Inn!

All other B&B's will now have to compare to Misty Valley - which will be very difficult. Thanks so much Rachel and Jim for making our stay so spectacular!

This B&B is the best we have ever been to. We choose each B&B vacation very carefully and have very high standards; never the less we were very surprised by this gorgeous landlord delicious breakfast and the romantic rooms, with the hot tub outside. Try the evenings elite dine just in front of the balcony.

I can't say enough good things about the Misty Valley Inn B&B in Forks, Washington. We regularly stay at B&B's, so we know a nice place when we see it. We have high standards for B&B's. Cleanliness is a must, as well as friendly hosts, comfortable rooms and in general feeling comfortable and welcomed. All of that was true of the Misty Valley Inn. We traveled for 2 weeks and were planning on spending 2 nights in Forks. After failing to find a hotel room in Forks that we thought would be suitable, we happened upon the website for Misty Valley Inn. The photos on their website do not do the inn justice. I was also a little shocked at the reasonable rates they offered. How nice could it be for only $110 a night? Well, it was everything we hoped for and more! We arrived much later than we had planned, but the hosts greeted us warmly and offered us dessert, a beverage and took our order for breakfast! We immedietly felt at home. We had a wonderful night of sleep in the very beautiful, well-appointed room. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and we actually got to choose the time that we ate, unlike most B&B's that serve only during select hours. Our host was very helpful with directions to the local beaches and the rainforest as well as offering us advice on restaurants in the area. We loved our 2 night stay at the Misty Valley Inn and wholeheartedly recommend it for others who are looking for a great place to stay in Forks.

My husband and I will always remember the sumptuous breakfasts that we were served on our two mornings at Misty Valley Inn. The three mushroom omelet with bechamel sauce, apple souffle, fresh strawberry crepe, and incredible French toast were outstanding. I've had good food and B&Bs before, but this was in a class above. The hot beverage on a well-appointed tray left outside your door as a wakeup call, and the homemade raspberry chocolate cake, chocolate chip cookies, etc. plus beverage in late afternoon/evenings were unexpected and delightful extras. Our hosts, Rachel and Jim, were welcoming and very informative about the area when we asked questions. The view overlooking the valley and flowers surrounding the inn were lovely. We would heartily recommend it.
5 on August 29, 2010
We had the opportunity to spend one night and just loved the hot tub at night by the light of the full moon and the most comfortable beds. Most difficult part of the stay was deciding which of the original and incredible breakfasts to have - we shared the pancakes with nuts and berries and the most tasty omelette, but the other options were close contenders. We also had some interesting company around the breakfast table and got more than a few helpful hints about what to see in the area. While one of the key settings of the Twilight saga is based on this Inn, I did not notice any Twilight influences inside the front door. Overall, we could not have been happier with our stay and if we return I know we'll book a room there.

It was a perfect first time stay at a B&B. Wonderful accommodations, relaxing and peaceful (after a very hectic wedding). Fabulous food and hospitality that was so nice and so appreciated.

A+. A diamond in rural Washington's northwest corner. The food was amazing and the hosts were gracious, good-natured, and helpful. A bargain too. Rooms were clean and conveniently located.
4.8 on August 15, 2010
This inn is run by a caring and energetic couple who do all they can to make the grounds beautiful, the house and rooms comfortable and filled with amenities, and the food absolutely delicious. This is one of the friendliest and best B&Bs I've ever stayed in. You could have a great vacation just staying in the house, using the hot tub, watching movies, reading from their library and eating big breakfasts & desserts!

This was an incredibly sweet surprise of a B&B in Forks, WA. The accommodations were comfortable and homey without being 'rustic'. But the gourmet breakfast and the hostess will keep me going back!

The inn was quite pleasant with comfortable rooms. Rachel and Jim do everything to make your stay pleasant. The breakfasts are huge and delicious with several choices. Tea and treats are in the afternoon and evening. You get to see lots of birds on the deck. We enjoyed our stay and it was very convenient to the rainforests and the coast. We especially like the room service coffee or tea in the morning!

The hosts of Misty Valley B&B did an exceptional job in preparing breakfast and desserts and had a lovely room for us. Our hosts offered guests use of a hot tub and had a lovely deck and garden in the backyard.

I stayed at The Misty Valley Inn for the July 4th weekend for one night and wish I had reserved both nights there. The accommodations were so terrific! Very quaint, spacious, very clean and homey feel to it. They delivered the beverage of your choice to your door in the morning...I had hot chocolate. Then we joined everyone on the deck for a wonderfully HUGE breakfast!! The food was outstanding and so generous in portion. And the view during breakfast on the deck is breathtaking. Everyone there is so nice....we even arrived late because of the traffic of the weekend and they had no problem with it. I had no complaints at all and will be staying there again if I ever return to the Olympic National Park!! If you are looking for a nice place near Forks or LaPush....this place is it!!

Owners Rachel and Jim have made this place spotlessly clean and warmly elegant. You will feel the warmth and passion for what they do. A good place to feel relaxed to be pampered. The vicinity to the ocean, the rain forest is another plus.
4.8 on July 15, 2010
The setting is beautiful and tranquil. The hosts are top notch. We felt very comfortable. Morning wakeup call was steaming hot coffee served with fine china and silver. Breakfast and afternoon treats were great. Lots of extras. Would recommend it.
4.8 on July 13, 2010
You can't beat being offered home-made chocolate cake and a cup of tea on arrival. And from there, things just got better. The room itself was clean and tidy, there were home-made chocolates on the side table and our morning wake-up call was a tray of tea and hot chocolate, with a fresh red rose. The Inn itself is set in a beautiful location just far enough away from the town to escape the crowds but a short enough journey away to pop in for an evening meal. It's also just a short car journey to spectacular beaches. If you do eat out though, make sure you save yourself plenty of room for breakfast - words can't describe how fresh, home-made and magnificent it was. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Misty Vally Inn and its innkeepers.
5 on July 13, 2010
They made us feel right at home. They are amazing. We will be returning ASAP!!

This our first B&B experience and it was very enjoyable. The Misty Valley Inn is nestled along the edge of Washington State's beautiful rain forest, and for us a wonderful and very tasty experience. Our room was immaculate and we were pampered with a very comfortable bed, enchanting decor in the Irish room, and outstanding service. Even with the turn of the century decor, we found very updated accommodations including WiFi, private bath facilities, even a wake up call with room service. If we get back to Forks, WA, we will definitely call on Rachel and Jim Bennett and stay at the lovely place.

The rooms were clean and nice, the area was beautiful, the service was amazing, but best of all the food was to die for, we had never stayed at a B and B with 6 different things to choose from for breakfast, and the wake up call complete with a choice of coffee, tea or hot chocolate was wonderful. We will be staying again.

I had a work assignment that took me to Forks for a few days in late February. I decided to take my husband with me and book a bed and breakfast. We were the only couple there for four days and were treated like royalty. I left each day confident that my husband was well cared for and never bored. Rachael and Jim even offered a car if he wanted to drive into town. We had the Dutch room which offered plenty of room, a king bed that was soooooo comfortable, and an ever changing view. Coffee was delivered to our door each morning at our chosen time, and breakfast was wonderful with huge servings. We tried each of the breakfast specials, and my husband, who is gluten intolerant, had custom-made meals, including muffins. In the evening we treated ourselves to one of the four desserts that are offered daily. It was just what we were looking for, total peace and relaxation when we wanted, and great company with Rachael and Jim. We would definately go back.

My boyfriend and I needed to go to Seattle to pickup his car and rather than just coming back on I-5 we decided to take the US-101. As secret Twilight fans, we knew we wanted to make a pilgrimage to Forks, Wa and check out the Vamps. We found this gem of a B&B just north of Forks. Jim and Rachel are super wonderful hosts and the property was stunningly beautiful. The complimentary breakfast was so much more than we expected. We split the French Custard Toast and the Arabian-Spiced Mushroom Omelet. Both were to die for. And it started with Spiced Peaches. OMG. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. It was not only a great B&B, it felt like home away from home. Thanks Jim and Rachel. Can't wait to come back.

We had a wonderful stay at Misty Valley Inn! We stayed in the Dutch Room which was tastefully decorated and had a comfortable king-size bed. In the morning we woke up to see the rain and the mist over the valley from our bedroom which then changed to hail and then brilliant sunshine! I really believe what makes a B&B superior is the hostess and their abilities and skills.Rachel is a superb chef ; the breakfast was of a souffle for me and an omelette for my husband. The baked goods were available to us in the evening. The lemon square was divine. We also had wonderful conversations with Rachel on tons of different topics and she filled us in about the real Cullen house! Rachel has a huge heart and puts love into everything she does ... it was wonderful to be pampered by her but also to spend time with her. She really does make a difference and wants her B&Bers to leave like they've be cared for and had a vacation.
5 on March 12, 2010
We have stayed in several bed and breakfasts throughout the country, but this one was the most elegant. Rachel has thought of every detail. We were greeted with fresh-baked lemon bars and brownies. The room was beautiful and the bed was covered in rose petals. Rachel gave us helpful recommendations for dining and sightseeing in the area. We spent a lovely evening visiting with Jim and the other guests, and snacked on amazing chocolate raspberry cake, tea and coffee. The best part was in the morning being woken up by a tray of tea and coffee, followed by the most amazing breakfast ever (irish waffles and french toast, fresh-baked muffins, and spiced pears)! Rachel has a wonderful personality and made us feel welcome from the start.

We stayed for one night in February. Although it was raining heavily outside the atmosphere inside was warm and cozy. Jim and Rachel are wonderful and gracious hosts and were very attentive to our every need. We highly recommend the Misty Valley Inn and consider it to be an excellent value with an experience and service that is far above the relatively modest price compared to other B&B's we looked at in the area.

Welcoming hosts provided a peaceful comfortable environment. The view from the dutch room was amazing. I watched the sun rise over the hills and mist as I greeted the day with fresh brewed coffee and a weather report for that day to prepare me for my journey into the nearby HOH rain forest. The food is as spectacular as the view and included homemade pastries, syrups, and delicious waffles. The rooms are relaxing and tastefully decorated. The inn has an excellent selection of books to read. The inn is clean and well maintained. I look forward to my next visit. Thanks Rachel and Jim

What a delightful stay! We were greeted at the door by a smiling & enthusiastic Mrs. Bennett. The Inn was tidy with a very warm & homey atmosphere. We, and two other guests, gathered around in the sitting area for a review of the inn's working and recommendations for restaurants for dinner. After a great chinese dinner at the Golden Gate (get the green beans!!!), we came home to a delicious dessert spread consisting of lemon bars, chocolate cake, cookies & brownies. Then in true Forks fashion, all 6 of us guests plopped down onto comfy couches & watched Twilight with the innkeeper. Details, details, details! The morning was all about details! Greeted by Mrs. Bennett in the morning at our door with a coffee tray & personalized note for the day, was a great way to start off. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. When they say "gourmet," they mean it! Overall, it was a wonderful stay. The innkeepers were delightful & felt like family. The food was awesome and the inn was cozy & clean. Besides the above, one of our favorite things was the fact that Mrs. Bennett personalized everything for each guest. We were able to pick our wakeup time, our breakfast time and our individual breakfast entree. This allowed us great flexibility, not having to wait till 8:30 to eat with the other guests as we wanted to be on the road early. We would definitely stay again should we ever visit Forks. Thank you Bennetts! Jaclyn & Becky McDonald - Michigan

My best friend and i stayed here for one night in november. we stayed in the Dutch Room. When we got there, we found that only one other couple was there, although we never saw them. We were greeted by Mr. and Mrs. Bennett, the owners, who had hot tea, coffee, lemon bars and cake prepared for us. it was very welcoming and perfect for the cold, rainy evening outside. Mrs. Bennet helped us find a place that we could go for drinks and even offered to pick us up if we were "unable" to drive back! We woke up to the best cocoa we ever had at our bedroom door and an absolutely AMAZING breakfast. Unfortunately, we had to head out early to catch our plane home, but we still had an amazing time. We will DEFINATELY stay here again. And for all you Twilighter's out there....this IS the REAL Cullen house. we missed the turn off to the long driveway twice b/c its hard to see, just like Bella does. and the house overlooks a forest. You can even take a trail down and can hear the Sol Duc River from outside. Please stay here over the Miller Creek Inn. i PROMISE you wont be disappointed! ~Brandi and Elena

We stayed over two nights here in the middle of rain storm. Despite the bad weather, we totally relaxed ourselves in the hot tub. We also enjoyed the desert bar (three kinds of cakes and various kinds of tea). But the most impressive service was definitely the big breakfast, which we unfortunately could not finish. Biggest breakfast ever had in our lives. We would never forget.

We stayed in the English Room it was adorable!! Walls are thin...so you can hear other people. But the Inn was great, cute, beautiful view. The caretakers were on vacation and had a wonderful person there, Echo. She was very helpful and resourceful. Gave us all kinds of tips and other places to see that are not in books. They wake you up with a knock on the door (you let them know when) and a tray with coffee, tea or whatever you requested from the night before. No alarm clocks!! Whoopee!! The food...OH the food!! It was delicious!! Tasty, HUGE portions could keep you full all day long. The view from the dining room while you eat your breakfast is spectacular! Or you can request it to be delivered to your room! And the tasty little desserts all day along!! Yummy!! Helpful when you are hiking all day. The B&B was very clean and lots of books that are about the local area. What a great price for such a gorgeous Bed and Breakfast!! Definitely will be planning to go back and stay here!!

This was our second B&B experience and it was just awesome. Rooms were nice and clean, and the outdoor hot tub was just great! Wake up knock at the door with hot chocolate was a nice way to start the day. Breakfast was fantastic as well.

This is a great B&B in a great location. We stayed here to be close to the rain forest and the beaches. Our comfortable room had access to a deck overlooking the beautiful valley. The gentle wake-up knock with your beverage of choice was a great touch! Breakfasts were amazing - delicious! We were a little disappointed that the innkeepers were away on vacation therefore leaving a single individual to handle all the responsibilities, i.e., cooking, cleaning, tourism. She did a good job but seemed a little stressed at times. I would highly recommend staying here despite this.

In enchanting Forks, WA, we enterd the "Misty Valley Inn" filled with warmth and a new world of excitement full of trees and birds of of great number and diversity. The bed was firm and the breakfast very different and welcome for all. The cleanliness and charm of "Misty Valley Inn" made our stay memorable. The town of Forks allowed us to eat Chinese and want us to seek out true Mexican food. All is well in "Misty Valley Inn".

A great B&B in Forks, WA. We were greeted at the door & our hostess was very attentive. Every morning we were awoken with a knock on the door and hot chocolate. The breakfasts were huge and very good. We also enjoyed the hot tub. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We had a great time at Misty's. They treated us great! The rooms were comfortable & cute. The food was real good. We loved it.
5 on October 01, 2009
This was the best B&B I've ever stayed in. The location was beautiful, Jim, Rachel and the dogs were great, and the food was unbelievable! Usually, breakfast is just muffins and cereal at these places, but here, you get 6 really yummy breakfast choices! There were 4 of us in our party, so we all sampled each others food. The 24 hour dessert bar was also incredible. The view from the breakfast table was amazing, and the hot tub downstairs was very relaxing. The rooms were beautiful, and the beds very comfortable. Not those overly soft beds that are impossible to get out of. I would highly recommend the Misty Valley Inn to anyone!

This was a cozy inn on the outskirts of a rainforest. Excellent breakfast and I love the wake up call with a tray of juice, hot chocolate, coffee ore tea waiting at your door. Very warm and friendly people.

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay. Upon arriving, we were met with self-serve Tea with homemade Carrot Cake, and other homemade desserts. That evening after hiking and driving we were able to enjoy a glass of wine in the outdoor Hot tub overlooking the valley and watching the moon rise. The breakfast which we were able to chooser from several selections was absolutely delicious and much more than we could eat. It's a wonderful value and the morning is all about pampering with beverages of your choice brought to your room, to being served a delicious breakfast at our time of choosing.

We had a great time! The food was outstanding. Bed side trays brought to your door was the perfect touch. The beds were too hard for my taste but everything else was outstanding. We loved the hot tub!

Misty Valley is the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Fantastic! Especially the gourmet breakfasts and the selection of savory desserts in the evening. Plus the little details such as travel guide books to read, high quality sheets and towels, and a coffee/tea/juice wakeup tray outside our bedroom door along with a weather forecast and tide times make this an exceptional B&B.

I read about Misty Valley in the AAA TourBook. It had received only 2 diamonds. I had hoped to be pleasantly surprised and I was. We had come off of four days of hard camping and needed some pampering, which Rached and Erica supplied nicely. The dessert bar was awesome, coffee in the room was a welcoming touch, and the breakfast was fabulous. I also enjoyed the view, the books, and the shower.

We stayed for just one night in July. (We wished we were staying longer). Beautiful rooms with very comfortable beds. The personal wake up service was something that I didn't think I would care about, but I was wrong! It was wonderful to be woke with just a light knock on the door and the made-to-order hot chocolate. The breakfast was incredible- I highly recomend the morrocan omelet. The hot tub was perfect. I can not find one thing that I was not very happy with. STAY HERE!!!

This inn is a gem. The rooms are pleasant, nice private bath, all the amenities. The wakeup knock at the door brings a lovely tray with your morning liquid refreshment and fresh flowers. This enables you to leave the comfortable bed and start your day. Then Rachel or Jim will cook your delicious, enormous, wonderful breakfast which you eat while looking out the panoramic window. Wonderful innkeepers, wonderful room and bed, totally wonderful visit at a totally affordable price. Really close to the Washington beaches, the Hoh Rainforest, and situated between Forks and Port Angeles which is an hour away. This was a memorable experience and one we would repeat in a minute!!!!!

We loved the hospitality received from Rachel and Jim. The house was comfortable, clean, and offered amazing views. There was plenty of wildlife seen from our "Dutch Room", along with a stellar view of the valley. Breakfast was amazing, but come with an appetite. Overall, the experience was an A+!

It's our first time experience with B&B so we're not sure what to expect. Jim and Rachel was so nice and friendly. We were staying in French Room, it was a nice room with in site bathroom. What impress me is the next morning. Jim will give you a morning call personally by knocking on your door and deliver coffee in a beautiful bed tray. After enjoying your coffee in bed and get ready, you can go ahead to dining room and waiting for SUPERB BREAKFAST!! It started with Peach Cobbler followed by Berry Muffin then your choice of 8 spices omelet, strawberry crepe, berry pancake, steam apple, waffle and I forgot the other one. I had omelet and my husband had strawberry crepe which is outstanding. We are just FULL. Oh .. did I mention the dessert buffet they have?? that's include brownies, lemon square, raspberry chocolate cake and chocolate truffle. Talking about satisfying your sweet tooth.

Rachel, our hostess, was amazing... she really made the stay special with her incredible cooking, even going out of her way to find out what my husband's favorite dessert was and making sure it was available and it was incredible! We would love to make a trip to stay again!!

We stayed at this B&B for 3 nights and it was totally fabulous. There are only 4 rooms so it is almost like just staying in a big house. Waking up to the tap at the door with coffee on a tray was probably the best part. The breakfasts were really good and filling and the innkeepers were very friendly. When we mentioned we were there on our honeymoon, we returned to our room later and found a poem about marriage and flower petals on our bed. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, friendly place to vacation.

Misty Valley Inn is a beautiful B & B. The view from the dining room was lovely as we enjoyed a delicious breakfast with Crepes and fresh strawberries and pancakes with fresh berries. Charming, friendly, and delicious home away from home, our hosts couldn't have been nicer. They go the extra mile!!
3.4 on August 25, 2008
I have to start by saying that we usually do not stay at B&Bs. We were headed to Rialto Beach for a wedding and lodging for a single night is limited in the area. That said, we were very happy with the Misty Valley Inn. Jim and Rachel are very nice and were so kind to accomodate our early afternoon arrival before their regular check in time. They made a special effort for our room to be ready for us early. While the space is not super modern, it is comfortable and the scenery is gorgeous. The coffee, tea and sweets are nice to have. We enjoyed a cup of tea and some cake after returning from the wedding reception about 10:30pm. The reason I like Misty Valley better than the few other B&Bs we have stayed at is the privacy. Coffee service to your door at a time you choose. Breakfast also at a time you choose. And when the weather is nice, the Dutch Room has it's own porch with table and chairs for breakfast if you prefer not to dine with a group. The selection for breakfast is nice, and everything was tasty. If I needed a place in or around Forks, I would certainly stay again. It was very nice.
5 on August 20, 2008
Mist Valley B&B goes over the top in every Callgorary. The care and kindness the comfortable of the bed and bath, the hot tub, the food and top of it all they really do have a misty valley. We'll go back for sure.

There's not much to recommend Forks, other than its location near the Pacific beaches and rainforest. The Inn is quite nice, if a little too fussily decorated. But Jim is a wonderful host and our breakfast was fabulous.
3.4 on August 10, 2008
Our room (the English room) was a bit small & the walls are very thin--you could hear every conversation in the other rooms. However, this is balanced out by the exceedingly nice innkeepers & the wonderful food.

The stay started after a 14 hour trip from Glacier National Park, MT to Forks, WA. We were met at the door by the hosts and there began a wonderful 4 nights at The Misty Valley Inn. Words cannot explain how wonderful this inn is. That is only something that can be explained by sight and taste--yes,taste. The most wonderful breakfasts ever invented are served here. The omlete is special, and the comment was made that the strawberry crepes looked like a giant burrito. We arrived at the inn after 9 PM every night and were greated by one of the hosts to take our order for the next morning's breakfast. The English room was clean and comfortable, but just a tiny bit small--you can live with it. On the morning of our departure I mentioned how much I liked the chocolate chip cookies that were available at the evening desert bar one night. Rachel quickly whipped up a batch so that I could take some with me on our drive back to California. That is service!

Decadent breakfasts, cushy beds, evening gourmet complimentary desserts, themed rooms, friendly knowledgeable hosts - the reasons we have stayed here for 5 times so far!

After 2/12 weeks on the road, we ended up at Misty Valley. What a beautiful setting! We were treated to home-made baked goods when we arrived in the evening, available all day. Jim was incredibly gracious and friendly - with great suggestions about places to go. The garden is absolutely exquisite. The breakfasts were wonderful - too big for any of us to finish! This is a relaxing, excellent B and B and great value!
2.6 on July 21, 2008
Jim and his wife are quite friendly and make a good effort, but there are several ways in which Misty Valley did not meet our expectations. The decor was fussy, and overdone with doilies and fake flowers. The breakfast items sounded delicious, but turned out to be bland and heavy. Overall, good effort, but it felt a lot like a trip to Grandma's house.

Talk about "Bang for your Buck" this B & B is a must if your in the area ~ your every need is thought of right down to the strong wireless connection through out, I especially liked the fact that there was not a TV in your room, they have a common area for guests to tune in if you must. Everything was clean, clean, clean and I am "A-Type". Each room has its own private bath YEAH!!!!! Theres no better Innkeepers than Jim & Rachel you truly don't want to leave.....and the breakfast what can I say but, breakfast alone was worth the price of the room, too many amenities to try and list so check out their web page, better yet make your reservation now. Thank you again for a "wonderful" experience.
4.8 on June 10, 2008
This was our first B&B stay and we liked it very much! Breakfasts were large and delicious and customized from one of the 6 entree options at the time of our choosing! The room was elegant and the hosts provided wonderful little extras that made everything run smoothly - local advice, binoculars to watch the elk, extra muffins to fuel our day's adventures, etc. The only reason we rated cleanliness slightly lower was that the "flip-flops" provided for the short walk to the hottub were not as clean as might have been nice (we didn't end up using the hottub, so it wasn't a problem for us!). Overall we were very pleased, and loved the personal, yet elegant atmosphere with a location that was close to beaches(20 min) and hiking. We hope to come back again sometime!

5 on June 04, 2008
We stayed in the Dutch room with the king size bed for four nights. The bed was so comfortable I asked Jim what brand and type it was for when we might have to replace ours. Each evening Jim would take our order for the following morning's breakfast and the time we wanted it. Each breakfast was delicious and filling - in fact, after the first day we asked for smaller portions of the pancakes and french toast as we couldn't eat all that was put in front of us. One of the really nice touches was having cake and cookies each evening, after we returned from our day's outing, with the best tasting hot chocolate we have been served anywhere. We found everything described on their website to be accurate.

The Bennets are themselves the best boast at the Inn...and that is saying alot. The breakfast was by far the most delightful I have had the pleasure of partaking in my years of wining and dining. They offer a selection of unique dishes; soaked, freshly herbed, and/or sauced by Mrs. Bennet's own versions of traditional favorites. I can heartily recommend the omelet, and don't forget to sample the hot chocolate... The view is lovely, especially when relaxing on the back porch. Squirrels, chipmonks, and local birds decorate the gardens and patio planters. The rooms are large and the bed was comfortable. But it's the Bennets themselves that make you wish you could just move in and stay. They are a gracious, enjoyable couple who welcomed us in their home as if friends. They favored us with afternoon treats and teas, while supplying us with local information and dinner suggestions around town and at the nearby beaches. I was not surprised to learn that they have operated the business for many years- for they are obviously skilled hosts that enjoy what they do. In fact, another guest was enjoying her seventh visit. A geat place to relax, chat, eat like royalty...and make friends.
4.2 on August 07, 2007
The house is set above a really nice valley with great views. Forks is a wonderful town and so conveniently located for all the activities we wanted to do while there, which were many. Everyone was so friendly! The room was comfortable with very many conveniences. I love the coffee being left outside our door before breakfast. And I must say, stayed at many a B & B's and the two breakfasts we had while there were outstanding. Mrs. Bennett can be a little "chatty" but very interesting person.
4.6 on March 08, 2007
We stayed a week here on our honeymoon, and loved it! There are several choices of breakfast food, all delicious and big enough for the hungriest person. The rooms are comfortable though not overly lavish. And the price is unbeatable. Visit the nearby beaches, Hoh rain forest, and Lake Crescent area. We recommend the Smokehouse restaurant just down the highway, and the Kalaloch lodge restaurant.
