Anchorage Inn B&B

We really enjoyed staying at the Anchorage Inn. The food, the beautiful, clean accommodations, the location and the friendly in keepers made it most memorable. I highly recommend this place. J &B Abbotsford, B.C.

Dave and Dianne are exceptional hosts. The room we stayed in was roomy, decorated well, and having had a gound floor room had our privacy in mind. We enjoyed dining with the other guest at breakfast. Dave was very informative about the island and its history-very interesting. Dianne is a wonderful cook, the breakfasts she prepared were delicious, eye appealing and best of all good til the last crumb. The view from the B&b is breathtaking of the waterfront, with the small park across the street decorated for Christmas, we took many pictures and have many memories to cherish. We will recommend the Anchorage to our friends, and on a return trip will try one of the other rooms available. Thank you Dave and Dianne for a wonderful 4 days and many memories. The Anchorage far exceeded our expectations. It is so clean, it feel like you are the first people to have stayed in your room! The Innkeepers are friendly and helpful without being too visible. They keep a pleasant balance. They made our dinner reservations for us and were helpful in many ways. The breakfast conversation with other guests was a pleasant surprise. We will definitely go back often.

We spent Thanksgiving weekend at this Inn and had a wonderful time. Our room was gorgeous and the breakfasts were all delicious. Dave and Diane helped us make great choices for dinners and helped with hike planning. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. Coupeville is charming and lots to see and do. Great gift shops, Greenbank art gallerys were gorgeous and Langely had lots to see. Be sure to hike at Ebeys Preserve. The Island is wonderful and we were so impressed with the quality of this Inn. We will surely come again.

Everything is excellent; I only said "met my expectations" because I have stayed in almost every room and they are all wonderful, and so I have high expectations. The location is perfect for exploring Whidbey Island. Location in Coupeville means you can walk to dinner and nobody has to abstain from drinking. And Dianne's breakfasts are fantastic!!

My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary at Anchorage Inn and it was such a treat. Dave and Dianne upgraded our room and the room was well appointed. We stayed up late watching movies from a well stocked movie library eating popcorn and Dianne's homemade cookies. The breakfast next morning was sumptuous and the conversation at the table was casual and relaxed.. We would love to come back here again!

The Anchorage Inn B&B is absolutely lovely and Dave and Dianne made us feel right at home. They offer those extra special touches that make you feel special and pampered and the breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. The main street of Coupeville is just a short walk away and offers many fun shops and restaurants. Our stay was very relaxing and the perfect place for an enjoyable getaway!

I am allergic to fragrances so I was a bit concerned about visiting a B&B. Dave, Diane and their wonderful crew, made sure our room was totally unscented. They removed all candles & potpourri, brought in soap for sensitive skin, and even remembered not to use scented fabric softener! It was so nice to be able to relax in the room without getting a migraine from all the different odors. We will DEFINITELY go back to the Anchorage Inn!

This was a very quiet B&B. We enjoyed having two breakfast times and visiting with other guests. Dave and Dianne gave us helpful travel tips for the area.

A quick birthday weekend get-away landed us in Coupeville at the Anchorage Inn B&B. It's a homey, comfortable place with the best view around. Good location, mid-island, which suited our driving plans nicely. Our room "Discovery" was large and clean with a fine bed, high ceilings, and of course, that view! The bathroom was smallish, but impeccably clean with everything we needed. Our hosts were easily accessible but completely unobtrusive -- guests really have their privacy. The breakfast was delicious and complemented by a wonderful conversation with Dave. The only break in our relaxation was an overly "chatty" neighbor in an adjoining room who talked non-stop until well after 11 PM with a voice that really carried. So, I guess the walls are a bit thin in places. Bring earplugs, if you're noise sensitive. I would definitely recommend Anchorage Inn B&B and we'll stay there again in the future, I'm sure.

To find a B&B to accommodate 6 couples in a lovely location is a challenge, but Dave and Diane's wonderful Anchorage Inn was the perfect spot. For breakfast, we were treated not only to delicious food but unhurried hospitality and even hilarious lessons in napkin folding. Coffee, cookies, even popcorn on demand made our evening conversations more like a party after a day of exploring Whidbey. What a wonderful place!

We were at Anchorage Inn with friends - 6 couples in all. It was the perfect place for a reunion of friends scattered over the U.S. The accommodations and food were outstanding. Such a warm atmosphere. Dave and Diane were helpful in directing us on what sights to see on the island. I highly recommend the Anchorage Inn. Dave gave us a lesson in napkin folding which was a lot of fun. Whidbey Island is a great place to visit.

We - nine high school girlfriends - stayed for two nights - 6 of us shared 3 rooms in the Inn and 3 stayed in the cottage. It was perfect for our mini-reunion (51st)! The Inn itself is beautiful and the spacious cottage gave us the common space we needed. Dave and Dianne did everything to accommodate our needs, including serving all nine of us breakfast (fabulous) in the Inn, telling us where to park when we hiked at Ebey’s Landing (the Bluff Crest Trail is amazing), and suggesting restaurants (highly recommend Christopher’s – the mussels are a must – and the Knead and Feed). We couldn’t be more pleased.

Our stay was restful and welcoming. We felt as if the Inn-keepers really cared about us and our journey. We stay here whenever we can, we live only 6 minutes from the Inn but we feel we are a world away the moment we arrive. Rick and debi Karjalainen

Dave and Dianne were perfect hosts. We enjoyed the lovely appointments and decor which were evident in every room as well as outside. Other 8:30 breakfast guest were all 8 traveling together while we were seated at a nice table for two so did not have an opportunity to converse. Too bad there, as we do enjoy meeting other travelers.

This is a very charming Inn. Our room, the "Discovery Room" was great; generously sized, nicely furnished and a wonderful view. The breakfast was also terrific - tasty, extensive and very attractively presented. Dave and Dianne were wonderful hosts. This was a fabulous find and we would love to return one day.

From the moment Dave greeted us at the front desk until our departure two days later, we were made to feel right at home in the coziest accommodation you can imagine. Dave and Dianne are not only wonderful hosts, but oh, those unique and mouth-watering breakfasts that Dianne serves up will keep you coming back. An experience we won't soon forget.

Onward - the "turret room". A really unique feel, full of light and fresh air. Very comfortable room where I was happy to sit and relax. A friendly welcome from the hosts, comfortable common area, and delicious breakfast. Sorry that I could only stay one night; I would love to return.

The Anchorage Inn is a truly charming B&B. It is a beautifully maintained victorian house, with a quaint and coz feeling in all of the rooms. The proprietors, Dave and Dianne Binder are also very warm and welcoming, and can cook a mighty tasty breakfast. This is definitely the best B&B I have ever stayed in.

My husband and I spent one night together and then I stayed four nights alone for a workshop. The room was clean and comfortable with free internet throughout the inn. You couldn't ask for a better location--walking distance to town. Dave and Dianne were awesome hosts and very accommodating. My schedule required flexibility at breakfast (which was always outstanding) and provided with a smile. We will definitely stay here again if our travels take us to the area which is likely.

My husband and I return again and again to this B&B for the rest and rejuvenation we get there. We enjoy the friendliness of the host couple, their excellent accommodations and breakfasts, and the close proximity to the charming waterfront. We also enjoy the touch of humor in the emails sent to us monthly (at our request) by the hosts regarding "our" island. After staying at the Anchorage Inn, you will want to return.

We rushed into Coupeville at 1920 for a 1800 birthday party - darn people ahead of us in the ferry line! Sure didn't count on missing not one, but two due to loads! The Inn was fabulous! So quaint and such attention to detail! The proprietors were very cordial and kind - although we found out at the last minute that we needed to rush through breakfast and get going (husband's business trip changed....) they served us with a smile deeeeeliious cantaloupe and sweet breads. Wish we could've stayed for the banana-nut pancakes! All in all - a very nice visit, albeit short.

My room in the Anchorage Inn was the one on the main floor. It was a lovely room, and at a very reasonable price. The breakfast was wonderful, and it was fun talking with the innkeepers and the other guests. I will definitely go back to this Inn. It's as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside. Dave and Dianne Binder are the perfect hosts of the Anchorage Inn. The location is one block from historic downtown Coupeville. A view of Penn Cove can be enjoyed on the front porch. The Inn is charming, comfortable, clean, and oozes of simple elegance. We will visit again!

The Inn is kept imaculate. Dave and Dianne were very good hosts. Made sure our room was perfect. Provided very good information about what to do in the area and also about the restaurants as well. Our room was very quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was great. Different each day. Very good cooks! The inn is very beautiful inside and out. Very clean. Provide cable tv and wi fi as well. Will recommend to family and friends for sure.

It was a quite get away in a small town, the house was wonderful and the service was gracious. The breakfast was better than any restuarant could offer and it had a personal touch.

Time slows down on Whidby Island. We have stayed at the Anchorage Inn several times and have enjoyed it each time.

I thought this was home and I could move right in and be waited on, hand and foot! Just kidding, of course, but it was splendiferous and fun. Close to everything in charming Coupeville, and within easy driving distance to Other Sights and Sounds. Spoiled me rotten for seeking any other lodging. Good food and good company.

We recently stayed at the Anchorage Inn for the second time and found it as delightful as remembered. We had a beautiful water view and Dinne cooked gluten free pancakes for breakfast for my special diet. We enjoyed visiting with the other guest who came from as far away as Amsterdam.

When my husband suggested an overnight getaway to Whidbey, I started with our usual favorite in Langly, but they were booked. After looking at many B&B's online, we ended up at the Anchorage Inn, in the Crow's Nest. I was a little unsure; it was sort of downtown-ish, and why was the only suite not booked when most of the rooms were......but it was one night, so I took it. GREAT CHOICE! This beautiful B&B sits up on a hill overlooking everything, and the Crow's Nest (which takes up the entire 3rd floor) is wonderful!! Real windows that actually open to let in fresh air, a very comfortable bed that is so high they provide a step to get into it, a gas fireplace, huge bathroom, and a fridge pre-stocked with sodas. Downstairs, there are cookies and sodas and popcorn and tea and coffee..... The owners are a lovely and interesting couple who provide great warmth to the Anchorage Inn, not to mention a great breakfast. If you're like me, and the Breakfast is an important part of the B&B experience, you won't be disappointed. Just a note, it is a little different than other B&B's we've stayed at; you choose one of two breakfast times as you check in, and it is not set out buffet-style. I sort of missed the array of pastries and fruit, and the second helping of that one special dish, but what was served was homemade and excellent. I highly recommend you try the Anchorage Inn; I know we will be back!

If you want to get away from it all without losing the comforts of home and more, then the Anchorage Inn is for you. Dave and Dianne will make you feel at home in a friendly and non-intrusive way. You have the whole of Whidbey Island to explore - nature preserves, both quiet and ocean beaches, historically significant spots, festivals, and shopping for curios and collectables. The inn, itself, has all the modern conveniences and standards while giving you a Victorian experience. We go back faithfully year after year, and try to fit in an extra visit somewhere during the year.

This was our second stay at The Anchorage Inn B & B. Two nights just weren't enough time here. Truly, we would have enjoyed two more! The atmosphere is welcoming the moment you step through the door....... due both to Dave's and Diane's warmth and the exquisite decor. Rooms are spacious and beautiful. Breakfast is fantastic. Cookies, coffee, tea, popcorn, candy set out in the dining area 24/7. Can't say enough about how pleasant it is here. And who can't love little Coupeville as well! Will stay no where else when we come to Whidbey Island.

We could only afford the cheapest room, but it was really nice. Comfy bed, private clean bath, amazing breakfasts and great hosts. It was built to be a B&B so it was surprisingly quiet. Good coffee. Hot and cold drinks and popcorn and cookies always available. Breakfast included a fruit item like a cold apple and peach soup or fruit and yogurt parfait, and then muffins or bread, and one day we had an asparagus and Italian sausage fritatta and the other day banana walnut pancakes with breakfast sausage on the side. nice location to walk to shops/restaurants. There's always something Artsy going on on Whidbey, so there's lots to do.

Beautiful setting, comfy beds a delightful place in a quaint little town. We love visiting here and will come back again and again. The Innkeepers are great and their breakfasts delicious! You will not be disappointed!

Incredible views of the cove from our room. Coupeville is a beautiful town with wonderful shops, restaurants, sights and friendly people. This Bed and breakfast is a fabulous location with wonderful hosts and delicious food. The constant availability of refreshments is very welcoming! This was a spur-of-the-moment trip and so worth it-love to do it again!

The B&B is located in a quaint seaside town within walking distance to great restaurants! You are made to feel at home with a spacious common area stocked with drinks, glasses and a refrigerator. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and I was provided with delicious gluten free breakfasts!

First time I stayed here was 9/04 and now again in 4/11. Great breakfast, nice rooms. Stayed at many B&Bs, this is one of the best. Dave and Dianne are great hosts. I'll be back!

For just a few days I was in a wonderful place! So much like a visit back in time in this beautiful Victorian setting. This was my FIRST time ever in a B& B. Not knowing what to expect I was completely "won over" to Dave and Dianne's home. The service could not have been any more courteous and warm. I'm hoping to bring my wife back there next spring. Our room was nicely decorated with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious. Also, an assortment of hot and cold beverages were available any time and a plate of cookies.

Great welcome and advice about Whidbey! Interesting conversations at breakfast with good food. Love the 24 hour availability of hot water, coffee etc. Hope to visit again soon!

We have stayed at many B & B's over the years and really enjoyed everything about the Anchorage Inn. Dave and Dianne are a great team when it comes to running the Inn. The location is beatiful, the rooms are outstanding in every way, and the breakfast is everything you expect, and more. We always enjoyed Dave's introduction and commentary on each course. Dave and Dianne create a very relaxing, enjoyable environment at the Inn and are very helpful and knowledgable about the Island in everyway. We enjoyed any and all solicited recommendations for dining and sight seeing areas. Many thanks for such and enjoyable stay on Whidbey Island.

The inn sits in the middle of the Coupeville Historical District, two blocks from the wharf, on a fairly high point -- a well-manicured, red-roofed, white building, with three turrets and a wrap-around porch. Inside Dave and Dianne offer great luscious breakfasts that had me skip lunch, and a cozy and relaxed atmosphere I would have liked to take home with me (along with the beautiful oak staircase that spirals in the entry and the antique sowing machine in my room.) Everything is scrupulously clean and shined to perfection, the towels were all brand new (and a particularly pretty sage color), there was a hand-knitted cover for the extra roll of toilet paper, premium brands of body wash and shampoo by the tub, nice flat screen TV, REALLY GOOD mattresses, a flat screen TV, and free high speed internet access. There are many little extras - there's cold and hot water in the dining room, hot coffee in the morning, a million (slight exaggeration here) types of teas, instant coffee throughout the day, milk, cream, and soda in the fridge (just to name a few.) I had to print some stuff and since the island doesn't have a Kinko's I brought my printer with me. Dave and Dianne graciously allowed me to set up my printer in the room, and they even gave me a little extra table for my laptop. I am so thankful for three days of perfect service!

Had an absolute wonderful time ... our hosts were fantastic ... will stay there again if we are ever in the area. Breakfast was to die for ... exceeded in every way! Comfortable room and bed ... and if you need wifi, connection was great! View and location was like the cherry on top! Thank you ... and congratulations for providing such a wonderful place for weary travellers.

We enjoyed the "Crows Nest" room which was biggest and best! The Inn is beautiful and the views from the room were relaxing. The best part of Our stay was the willingness of the Innkeepers to meet our dietary needs. Being gluten free, Dairy free and Egg free in a breakfast situation is not easy! The chef met the challenge flavorfully!

loved staying at Anchorage! stayed in the Crows Nest, had great views of Penn Cove, and the rest of the little town. Great fireplace , super comfortable bed, and amazing breakfast.... Staying here was like staying at a friends house, coming and going was very easy, scheduling breakfast was a no-brainer., Hosts were very welcoming!

Both my husband and I slept like little children - I woke up feeling refreshed and really good. I'm ready to go again!

The Anchorage is a newer house with the feel of old Coupeville - the best of both worlds. The breakfast was excellent and our hosts were very welcoming and full of advice for what to do and how to get around the island.

The Crow's nest was roomy and quiet and with a wonderful view of Mount Baker. Snacks were plentiful and easily available. Would definitely stay there again if in Coupeville. Our hosts were informative and relaxed.

Great location for walking, shopping and exploring. I highly recommend it.

The Anchorage Inn in Coupleville, WA is an excellent B&B and a wonderful place. Beautiful surroundings, immaculate appearance and rooms, caring hosts, and a great breakfast. One of the nicest we have ever stayed. Very elegant and restful. The small town of coupeville is in a beautiful location by the bay and has a couple of excellent restaurants. If you are looking for a pleasant vacation experience, this is the place. We look forward to a return visit.

We stayed at the Anchorage Inn during the Thanksgiving holiday. Our room was very comfortable and the Inn is warm and inviting, and located only a block away from Coupeville's main street -- a wonderful location. The innkeepers, Dianne and Dave, made us feel very much at home, and Dianne's breakfasts are not to be missed! We enjoyed our stay tremendously and look forward to returning to Whidbey Island and the Anchorage Inn.

The innkeepers, Diane and Dave are a lovely couple who are conversant and passionate about their B&B. This is a beautifully situated property; very clean and charming. The breakfasts were terrific. It is obvious that Diane and Dave enjoy sharing their B&B and strive to make the experience the very best.

A lovely house with friendly innkeepers, charming guestrooms, and great views. Restaurants and shops just a block away, right on the waterfront. Tour around the island all day, or choose the Eagle's Nest room, or any other, and curl up with a good book. A great retreat.

Room very clean and cozy, moderately priced at $95 including fabulous breakfast which included a 5 cheese omlet. Very quiet and relaxing, easy walking distance to waterfront and our favorite restaurant/pub "Toby's". Highly reccomend the Penn Cove mussels.

Sometimes getting away from the norms of everyday life is necessary and our stay in Coupeville was perfect. It was charming, relaxing and a fun break in pace from living in Vancouver. It took no time at all to feel comfortable and at home in The Anchorage Inn. The accommodations are wonderful, breakfast is delicious, Dave and Dianne incredibly kind. A perfect weekend getaway spot.

This is our second time we have stayed with Dave & Diane at the Anchorage Inn. We needed rest & relaxation, they provided it & even more.. We were able to stay in the Crows Nest, top floor, large room, king bed, fireplace, water view, an excellent place to sit while doing bible study & dreaming all the while overlooking the water. A healthy breakfast was served while visiting with the other guest. A big THANK YOU to Dave & Dine for all the good work you have done there with the Anchorage Inn. Dave & Diane are wonderful hosts and teachers. Not only did I see how their operation worked, I also got to enjoy it! I asked a "million" questions and they patiently answered them all! Plus I got to work along side of them. Their insight into the business and their willingness to share their experiences is invaluable. As we all know, once you leave you get that "I wish I would of asked...". Their answer was "If you have any questions, feel free to call us at any time. After all you're now an alumni!" Hi I was on a business trip to Oak Harbour, and have previously stayed at Hotels in Oak Harbour who are O.K. but nothing else. It was such a nice experience to come to Anchorage Inn, I fellt like beeing at home. Breakfast was gourmet ( fantastic chees omelet) , company from guests ( a Canadian couple) and Dave / Dianne ( thee owners) was just what I needed after travelling many days. James Ericsson

This was only my second stay at a B&B, and I was delighted we had chosen the Anchorage Inn. The house is beautifully decorated, the rooms very comfortable and quiet, Dave and Dianne are friendly and relaxing hosts, and they serve a wonderful breakfast in their lovely dining room. The Anchorage Inn is in one of the most beautiful places in the northwest. The innkeepers, Dave and Diane, were fantastic. They were very accommodatingl and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfasts were delicious!!!!

The stay at this B&B was wonderful. The room was clean, beautifully decorated,and had great views. There were lots of nibbles in case we got hungry during the evening. And breakfast was simply delicious. It was located close to the waterfront with cute little shops and wonderful restaurants.

Our suite, the Crow's Nest was large and comfortable with views on three sides. The bed was clean, attractive, and comfortable. The hosts were pleasant and helpful. Each day for 4 days, a different, delicious breakfast was served on different china. Every effort was made to accomadate any special dietary needs. We would definitely stay here again.

Needed a vacation after all my work. Calista Cottage, part of Anchorage Inn, filled the bill to a tee. Quiet, pleasant, great amenities, and an easy walk into the center of Coupeville. Overall, a great week get-away. Definitely will return!

We had a lovely, quiet stay at the inn and slept extremely well on comfortable beds. The food was excellent and the breakfast kept us going until well into the afternoon. The availability of snacks and beverages throughout the day was appreciated. Room temperature was just right and the whole inn was spotless.

We had never been to Whidbey Island before and found The Anchorage Inn B&B on the internet. We rode our motorcycle and found the Island to be so quaint! The Anchorage was quaint. The breakfast was delicious and healthy! The town of Coupeville and our stay at the Inn was really worth stopping for!

All the modern conveniences including WIFI combined with the charm of the 1800's. Only two blocks from the water front shops and fine dining. Each breakfast is a unique delight. The charming hosts are a wealth of information on the sights and activities on Whidbey Island.

We really enjoyed staying at Anchorage Inn and would definitely come back if we are in the area.

Old World Charm home with 2 bed rooms, living area, huge dinning room, kitchen, and walk-around porch. We have stayed here in August for about 5 years. My family loves the porch watching a sunset or the ships crusing Penn Cove. There is a wonderful gas fireplace in the living area for cold nights. It has a big yard for kids to play in. Calista Cottage is a block away from Coupeville and all the wonderful things that are offered.

Such a charming B & B in the quiet town of Coupeville. Our room was so comfortable, spotless and very charming. we would not hesitate to return. Dave and Dianne were the perfect hosts.

For our first B&B experience it was all and more. D&D did all they could to make us feel at home. Dave having me sing the Canadian Anthem at breakfast was a real experience..all good.

What a great surprise when we drove up to see such a spectacular Old Victorian Home. And then when we went inside it was equally as nice. The grounds were beautiful and the room was just outstanding. We were lucky and got a reservation at the last minute. Our room was beautiful and so is Whidbey Island. It is definitely worth the trip. The innkeepers were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was outstanding.

The Anchorage Inn was the perfect place for our week on Whidbey. It was centrally located in Coupeville and within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. Wonderful hosts and delicious breakfasts everyday.

We stayed in the Calista Cottage, a separate little house available at the Anchorage Inn, and had a great time. The beds are comfortable and clean. The full kitchen and laundry allow us to pack less for the long trips and save money by eating some meals at the Cottage. We have stayed in the cottage for a total of more than 20 days over 2 stays and plan to stay more in the future.

We just returned from a 2 nite stay at this beautifully decorated Inn in Coupville Wa. The whole experience was just outstanding. The hosts were just wonderful folks, and made our stay so much fun. Our room in the Crow's nest was right out of a story book. You must see it. Food,cleanliness,decor, and anbience second to none. Best B&B we have ever come across. Can not wait to go back.

We spent 3 weeks driving the Upper Cascades Loop and ended it with 4 nights on Whidbey Island at the Anchorage and were met with the gracious and friendly hospitality of the Inn staff. The Inn far exceeded our expectations across the board. We were sorry that we hadn't planned more days at the Inn - maybe next time!

This B&B does not disappoint! Located in the quaint village of Coupeville it is a perfect location. Our view from our room overlooked the sound and just a short walk (1 block) to the shops and restaurants. Dave and Dianne took excellent care of us including home baked cookies, tea, coffee, soft drinks and popcorn 24/7. Breakfast was wonderful and the hosts made sure any preferences or diet restrictions were met. Highly recommend this B&B to everyone!

I can't think of anything negative to say about this place. They researched the whole B&B business, made note of things they themselves looked for in a B&B, and eventually instituted them all in the Anchorage Inn. We looked at most of the rooms, and I would not hesitate to stay in any of them. The wrap-around porch was a favorite spot of mine. The room: comfy bed, spotlessly clean, private bath, view of Mt. Baker. The breakfast: yum!! The dvd's: excellent selection! The location: in the center of Whidbey Island. We liked it so much that we ended up staying on Whidbey instead of going to the Olympic Ntl Park as we had planned :)

Dave and Diane were gracious and generous hosts the evening my granddaughter and I arrived tired, without reservations, and seemingly by chance at their door. We were fortunate in finding one room still available with ensuite, a lovely view, and every comfort provided for a restful night. Our host made sure we were aware of a range of restaurants where we could enjoy our evening meal and solicitously enquired of any food preferences or allergies regarding breakfast and which sitting we would prefer in the morning. Our night was quiet and restful with a most delicious and elegantly prepared and served breakfast in the morning. Our hosts brought just the right mixture of warmth, cordiality, professionalism and the personal touch in all the services provided during our stay. The Anchorage Inn is a marvelous, lovely, relaxing place to stay on central Whidbey Island. The hospitality is unbeeatable and it truly IS a bed and breakfast. The hearty breakfasts are scrumptuous and served with decor, and the hosts, Dave and Diane Binder, are always at your service and not afraid to share in the morning conversations. The rooms are tastefully decorated, spacious, and very comfortable. Whenever we visit Whidbey Island, we try to spend at least one nite at this lovely, relaxing retreat.

Wish we would have had more time. Our next trip to Whidby we will stop for a few days. We missed enjoying time around the the B&B. Helpful with reservations for dinner. Dave and Diane do a great job.

We spent a lovely mid-week in June at the Anchorage. Our hosts, Diane and Dave were welcoming and warm. Our room was quiet, very comfy and the views of Penn Cove were unbeatable. Breakfast was a treat every morning. The Anchorage was a lovely, welcome escape and Whidbey Island offers so much to do. We'll be back!

My visit at the Anchorage Inn, Coupeville Wahsington , was outstanding. The room was spacious and luxurious. High quality bed and bedding, soundproof, extremely comfortable and inviting. The breakfast menu is personalized, freshly prepared and excellently presented. Conversation with well travelled guests stimulating, the host and hostess congenial, gracious, interesting, and helpful. The Anchorage Inn is perfectly located with easy access to neighboring restaurants and quaint shops of the historic Coupeville waterfront. The view is spectacular, the surround porch inviting. Walking in the surrounding community reveals immaculately kept historic homes and manicured floribundant gardens. I could stay forever!

The Inn is so charming, welcoming and romantic. Setting eyes on the Inn for the first time radiates a sense of belonging to the past and present. Our hosts made us feel as if their home was truly our home. The decor was perfect, fitting right into the past and present. Our room was more than delightful, it was comfortable, warm, very clean with a relaxing atomosphere. One big surprise, was the quietness. We never heard our other house guests or hosts. Truly an experience my husband and I will enjoy again.

The B&B had tea, coffee, hot water, filtered water, popcorn, and candies available for guests to help themselves in the dining room. So it feels like home.

My husband and I recently spent an evening at the Anchorage Inn B&B. It is in a terrific location in the delightful little town of Coupeville, WA. Dave and Dianne take their job seriously as hosts, yet exude a warmth and sense of humour that we really enjoyed. Our room--right at the top of this wonderful B&B was aptly decorated and included all of our own facilities. We had the good fortune of having a great westcoast windstorm at night and enjoyed the sounds and fury of the nearby ocean! The morning breakfast was both healthy and very tasty. Dave's lesson in napkin folding was entertaining and for those of us who are origami-challenged was, well, let's say, interesting.... There is lots to explore in the Whidbey Island area and this is a great, central spot to start out from!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Anchorage Inn, We do a lot of B & B's and this one was one of the best we have stayed in. I have diet issues and they did a great job of making some stuff that I could enjoy.

We experienced a warm welcome to the Anchor Inn by our host. We were given a room in the turret giving us a beautiful view of Penn Harbor . The breakfast of stuffed french toast was incredible. We plan to visit again.

Had the pleasure of staying at the Anchorage Inn in the Discovery 2 room. The room itself was very spacious, clean and well equipped. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome. I asked if we could have some ice and was given a glass ice bucket on a tray, complete with a smile and is there anything else we can get for you? Breakfast was delicious and the conversation around the lovely diningroom table interesting and lively. We would certainly recommend this B & B. Excellent value and service.

This was our second stay. My wife and I travel frequently and admit to being a bit hard to please. The Anchorage Inn exceeds our expectations from start to finish. The Binders are delightful and attentive to our needs. We always feel like we are a member of the family and feel whatever stress we may have felt just seem to float away. Our room, the Fairhaven, was ready when we arrived and had a beautiful view of Penn Cove and Mt. Baker. The breakfasts were delicious and a great way to start our days in Coupeville. Dave and Dianne were gracious hosts.

Callista Cottage is a two-bedroom, 1883 historic house located beside the Anchorage Inn. Dave and Dianne have kept the historic charm of the cottage. It's just one of the many Victorian homes that make up the historic part of Coupeville. Food-lovers take note: Anchorage Inn is only a block from some serious foodie havens. The Oystercatcher is big city fine dining, with locally sourced foods, brilliantly prepared and served. The Bay Leaf has the best pickings for cottage dining: well-selected, quality wines, cheeses, meats, chocolates, bread, etc. Gourmet to go for the half block shuffle back to the cottage. A 15-minute drive to Greenbank Farm and the Whidbey Island Pie Company is a must. The kitchen ladies turn out fabulous lunches and the best fruit pies made with local fruit, organic if they have the choice. Take one home, the price is right. All these folks are so darn proud of the foods they sell, and happy to see people enjoy the Island's bounty. Whidbey is riddled with hiking trails and parks. Scenic bike routes and roads alternate between storybook farms and stunning sea views. Ebbey's Landing is 10 minutes from the Inn, and has a breath-taking beach bluff trail. All the better to wear off the memorable meals.

My wife and I planned a trip to see "Deception Pass" and decided to make it a two day trip. We found the Anchorage Inn on the internet and we were attracted to the its Victorian charm. We called and spoke with Dave. He was very friendly and reserved a room for us. Dave and Dianne are excellent hosts and they manage a top quality B and B. Add great the great location and the reasonable costs and you cannot be disappointed. We have already shared our experience with friends and they plan on spending their wedding anniversary at The Anchorage Inn next month.

Our third visit and not our last! We always feel so comfortable at the inn and the treatment is special. The inn is an easy drive from the lower mainland [Vancouver and the Fraser Valley] We came with friends this time and had a great time.

We stayed with Dave & Diane for an indepth look at the ownership of a bed and breakfast. Their bed and breakfast is beautiful, welcoming and they prepare a great breakfast in the morning. They were excellent instructors and we learned a lot from them and felt incredibly welcome and received lots of information. We would recommend them to anyone staying on Whidbey Island since it is a great central location for exploring or just staying locally in Coupville to visit the wonderful antique stores and eating at the excellent local restaurants.

Great Breakfasts. Enjoyed the light in the Onward Room for reading. Very comfortable room. Enjoyed the cookies and the quiet! Like the proximity to shopping and restaurants; especially enjoyed the Thai food at The Cove. Always love the opportunity to visit Ebey's Landing and enjoy the bluff hike and beach walk, beach combing, the Olympics across the way. Have already recommended this stay to several others.

This lovely Inn was my choice for a Christmas getaway. From the moment I walked in the door my heart was totally captured. I was met with cheerful greetings from innkeepers Dave and Dianne and the delightful aroma of freshly baked cookies. My luggage was whisked up the stairs and I was shown my way around and given all the info I needed... even a binder of local restaurant menus and told how to contact Dave and Dianne at any time. Spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, the Inn was a charming step back in time, with all the modern amenities and lots of thoughtful touches. My bed was occupied by an adorable teddy bear and in the shower sat a cute little rubber ducky. I stayed in Onward which was a delight; loved the turret. I appreciate that there are smaller, less expensive rooms with no water view but just as beautifully done, or spend a bit more for the Crow's Nest or Discovery, which are breathtaking. The Inn is very romantic but I was quite comfortable alone. A block from the waterfront, it is within easy walking distance of restaurants and shopping. A scrumptious breakfast was prepared by Dianne and graciously served by Dave along with a touch of humor, great stories and the gift of making strangers comfortable so that all were soon laughing and chatting. If you managed to still get hungry after that, there was an abundance of popcorn, candy, hot and cold drinks, and Dianne's yummy cookies available 24 hours a day. I left my heart in Coupeville so have booked my next five stays to go back and visit it. Dave and Dianne are caring, Godly people and you can feel God's presence in every nook and cranny. They really know how to make people feel welcome; I felt as if I was visiting special friends. Anchorage Inn is my new "home away from home" -- they will need to get used to seeing my face at their door.

The Inn owners took good care of an Alaskan there over Thanksgiving. Everything I needed I got with even an invitation to community Thanksgiving dinner. This is a marvelous place to stay with a great breakfast with good converation with new friends.

Having never experienced a B&B we didn't know what to expect. However, we found it to be quite delightful the moment we walked in the door. The host and hostess are so very charming and welcoming; we had a gourmet breakfast with several other couples who were very interesting to talk to; and our room was perfect! Lots of amenities to make you feel right at home. We definitely are planning on making it a destination next year.
