My new husband and I took advantage of the "Let's Run Away" elopement package. Everything was wonderful. Bob, Lisa and Lacey took great care of us. Our guests had a lovely time at the ceremony. The pictures of the inn do not do this place justice, the great room with it's crackling fireplace is absolutely gorgeous. Our room, The Stilly, was big, clean, bright and beautiful. The bed was super comfy as was the jetted tub! The food is fantastic, Lisa does an amazing job, and the portions were just the right size. I could get used to a 3 course dinner and 2 course breakfast everyday. We came all the way out from New Hampshire to get married at the River Rock Inn and it was most definitely worth the trip.

    Beautiful place, but disappointing

My husband and I stayed in the Fern suite. We checked in and were greeted at the door by a sweet girl, who gave us a tour and showed us to our room. Our suite was AMAZING!! The pictures do not do it justice; it’s even more beautiful, luxurious, and tranquil than the pictures make it seem. The bathroom was equally gorgeous. The great room was big and warm with a fireplace, several couches, and a mini fridge stocked with soft drinks and juices. There was also some candy bars. This is the perfect place to go if you just want to relax and do nothing. Unfortunately, at this time of year, there is not a lot to occupy you. Be aware that there is no cell phone reception at the inn; it would have been nice to know about that beforehand. Breakfast the next day was a huge letdown. All we got was a mini muffin, some cut up apples with yogurt, and some scrambled eggs. Even though I had mentioned that I hated onions, they put them in the eggs. For an upscale and pricy B&B, I expected a lot more. My husband and I left hungry. One other thing that bothered me was that we never even caught a glimpse of Bob and Lisa; I was really looking forward to meeting them. All in all, it's a beautiful place, but it reminds me more of a hotel than a B&B.

The River Rock Inn is located in a secluded area of Arlington and may be hard to find, but it certainly is a lovely site once you arrive. We were greeted by Bob and some comfy slippers at the front door! The bed was cushy and the amenities abound. We stayed in the Fern Room (the only ground floor guest room). It had a nice deck that led to the back open area. The only thing that could be improved is the noise that came from the heat pump just outside our window. That woke us up a few times during the night. We did enjoy the breakfast! It was delicious and the innkeepers, Bob and Lisa, tended to our every need. They were quite warm and friendly and their hospitality is unsurpassed. We left feeling refreshed and welcome.

We love staying at the River Rock Inn

Bob and Lisa are fantastic! This was our second trip to their home. My wife and I decided to have dinner at the River Rock on this trip which was an amazing four course dinner prepared and served by Bob and Lisa. The wormth and kindness of Bob and Lisa is equalled by the atmosphere that they have created in each of the private rooms and the main room down stairs where breakfast and dinner was served. Signs of nature and relaxation court your soul and brings you back to a place of tranquility that you will thoroughly enjoy!
