The Augusta Rose Bed and Breakfast was built in 1891 as a single family home. It is located on a corner lot surrounded by a neighborhood of beautiful old homes. The house itself is a Queen Anne style Victorian with a turret and two small balconies. It features a large stained glass window in the staircase landing and smaller stained glass windows in the living and dining rooms. The woodwork in the main floor is ornate and well preserved. In the summertime, the wraparound front porch is the most popular "room" in the house. It reflects a slower, more gracious time, when neighbors walking by would (and still do) stop for a minute to chat. The second floor of the house is dedicated only to the Bed & Breakfast. It has four guest rooms, five bathrooms and two sitting rooms. The bedroom furnishings are primarily family heirlooms.

Sitting atop a knoll overlooking Dewey Lake, a "Country Retreat" awaits manor guests in the Irish Hills of Southern Michigan. This 1860's Italianate home has five guestrooms with private baths and fireplaces, one with Jacuzzi tub furnished with antiques and old-fashioned wallpapers. A large deck and glass enclosed porch, with a view of the lake, provides a pleasant place to enjoy a summer breakfast or to just relax. Other rooms include a parlor with a piano and a sitting room with a bay window overlooking the lake, there are eighteen acres to wander and a picnic area by the lakeshore. Guests may also enjoy the paddleboat, canoe, and evening bonfires by the lake. The central location of the Irish Hills offers antiquing, fifty-two spring fed lakes, golfing, fishing, quaint towns, and much more. Car enthusiasts are just 3 miles from Michigan Speedway. Whether you come to enjoy the sweet sounds of a summer night or the quiet stillness of the frozen lake, your stay will be one to remember.

We have three bedrooms each with a queen size bed and a private bath. There is a common room on the main floor where guest can mingle. On weekends, refreshments will be served in the afternoon and/or the evening. In the morning, you will receive a full American style breakfast featuring fresh fruit, freshly brewed ground coffee, spiced teas, and homemade specialties of the day. During the week, refreshments will be served in the evening only. A European style breakfast will be served in the morning consisting of fresh brewed coffee, tea, and assorted pastries and rolls. Special arrangements can be made for a romantic picnic, your room filled with your favorite bouquets, or a special box of chocolates.
