Combining remarkable craftsmanship and salvaged materials, original outbuildings on the 35-acre property have been renovated into private, spacious, and beautiful accommodations providing everything necessary for guests to relax, explore, and return home rejuvenated. Grand yet comfortable, each cottage and suite is richly appointed with eclectic furnishings and antiques, where every detail has been given careful attention. The winery of the same name is known for its highly regarded, limited production Cabernet Sauvignon. Located in the base of the Blue Mountains only ten minutes from historic Downtown Walla Walla, this is the perfect setting for creating the most memorable o experiences.
This cozy, charming little cottage once housed the farm's hired hand. Today you enter through a trellis of meandering clematis vines. The kitchen will remind you of the Forties with its robin's-egg blue cabinets, quaint electric stove, and hand-tiled counters. The adjoining living area is furnished with over-stuffed furniture. Through a glazed antique door you will find an elegantly tiled bath with an antique claw-foot tub and shower combination. A private brick patio, which can be discovered just outside the bedroom door, peeks out into the vineyard. Romantic and perfect for two.
With its outstanding patio view to Titus Creek and large picture windows, it is hard to believe this charming cottage really was a former chicken coop. A cupola and plentiful windows saturate this cottage with soft abundant light. Beautiful recycled hardwood floors are featured throughout. The modest kitchen has a small stove and convection oven. On summer days, the best spot for sharing a glass of wine is your own stone patio and on cooler evenings, a petite gas fireplace in the living area will invite you. The jewel-like bathroom has a heated tile floor and shower for two.
This two bedroom, two bath suite provides a beautiful living area with kitchen and offers each couple complete privacy. Airy and spacious, the ground level has a garden feel, an abundance of light, and opens to a patio perfect for watching the sunset. In the evening, one couple will climb the stairs to their treetop room. The adjoining sky-lit bathroom features a luxurious, tiled shower. The other couple will tuck away in the richly appointed harness room. Through double doors they will find a claw-foot tub and rain shower in their European styled bath finished with beautiful Venetian plaster.
This loft-style cottage blends a rustic lodge with sleek retro furnishings. Venetian plaster is the elegant finishing touch. A tiny, sweet gas fireplace warms the room, and the heated basalt floor throughout is kind to bare feet. Open and airy, it sits up half a story, where the branches of the trees feel within reach. A stunning ensemble of antique wood windows extends two stories. The tiled bathroom offers an over-sized double shower. During the day, you may never want to leave your patio, where laziness is encouraged and you might catch a glimpse of a doe with her fawns.
This two-story cottage will take you back to lazy summer days and a time when preserving the bounty of the farm was a family endeavor. Now, cook for fun if you choose and take in the views through antique beveled glass picture windows. The upstairs bedroom overlooks our estate Syrah vineyard and the Blue Mountains to the east. Its tiny veranda offers a perfect vantage point, where you just might be tempted to hold hands and view the stars. The pretty, sky-lit bathroom is beautifully tiled and has a claw-foot tub and shower combination.
This suite is named for the fragrant trees that grow near the front door providing mottled shade in the summer. Slate floors, oriental carpets, and mahogany bar contribute to the grand atmosphere. Curl up on the oversized leather sofa and light the gas fireplace on a cool morning. The main living area retains original paneling that documents the repair history of the farm implements, and a 1914 trapper's canoe defines the space in a surprising way. A corner kitchen includes all you need to make dinner for two. The soaring, tiled shower is spacious for even our tallest guests.
This space was once filled with hay to feed the gentle milk cows that lived below. Now it has been transformed into a spacious, luxurious, one-bedroom, two-bath suite with some of the most fantastic views on the property. A surprise second sleeping area features a queen-sized Murphy bed and the main living area has a butler's pantry with sink, fridge, and bar. The heart of the entire space opens onto a long deck. Venetian plaster and radiant heat floors are found throughout and on brisk evenings, a pretty gas stove will take away the chill.

This is our third stay at Abeja. The service, lodging and breakfast are unrivaled in our experience in wine country B&B's. The wine tasting experience is an added bonus. Mary (the innkeeper) and her staff provide a flawless, seamless experience. Each of the three rooms we have stayed in are unique, comfortable and create an oasis of calm and comfort. We will stay there again, and highly recommend this property for the experience that the owners and staff work to create for their guests.

We just returned from one night at the inn and it was terrific! I should say that we got the Locust Suite for free, as the inn participated in celebrating Veterans Day by offering service members a free room. However, our review would be the same even if we'd paid full price for the suite. Anyway, everything was perfect - in fact one of the other guests, also there on the special, said "I really need to quit saying it's perfect because I sound like a broken record . . . but it's perfect!" Our suite, on one side of the tasting room, was very roomy. It had a nice sized living area, a cute little kitchen and a nice bedroom with an attached bath. It was very cozy and comfortable - plenty of options for controlling the heat and a/c, as well as lighting. Ample seating, a large tv (which we didn't use) and a dock for the ipod. We made tea and coffee in the little kitchen and it looked to be amply stocked with anything you might need. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were remarkable. We both slept very well. The hosting is great. When we checked in we were each given a nice glass of very good wine. The breakfast was excellent - baked egg, pumpkin waffles with apple cider syrup and bacon, with fresh squeezed orange juice. We had a wine tasting around 10:30 in the morning, and enjoyed the pours. The property is beautiful (our suite had a great view) and it's obvious that they take great care of everything. It seemed that no detail was too small to be overlooked. This ended up being a great getaway and everyone could not have been nicer to us. I hope we go back sometime when the weather is a little more inviting to spend some time outside. Fabulous place (and some pretty tasty wine)!

My husband and I decided to honeymoon close to home (Seattle) and had heard that The Inn at Abeja was wonderful. It was greater than we could ever have imagined. The wine was already one of our favorites but the rooms were also gorgeous, private and so cozy. The staff is warm and hospitable in a way that feels extraordinary. Mary and Ally blew our minds with how kind and friendly they were. But there were endless details that put it over the edge--the beautiful china that our to-die-for breakfasts were on, the grape seeds used as much on the landscape and the heated floors are three examples that only scratch the surface. We're already planning our next trip back!
