We've been coming back to Sequim for over 22 years and when we found Simone and the Groveland Cottage we felt like we'd found our home. The kitchen works well for when we cater or for our own group cooking, and it has all the gear and storage needed for serving our group of 16 hungry men. The bedrooms are comfortable, and the facilities are always clean and well maintained. We really enjoy the grand dining room and fireplace for our tournament meetings, dinners, and awards lunch!! Thank you Simone!! SNGA Participant (and 6 time winner).

Quiet tranquil home away from home.

My wife and I have had the pleasure of enjoying this B&B three times last year. Simone truly goes out of her way to accommodate her guests. In one word to describe the breakfasts it would be fabulous! She can also cook vegetarian, vegan or accommodate diabetic requests if you like. One of our stays was for 8 days and we had something new and delicious every morning! Going kayaking, cycling, or hiking she can pack a lunch for you. But for us her breakfast lasts us until dinner. Yes, they really are that large. The location is perfect and easy to find being about 4 ½ miles north of Sequim, in a very quiet and tranquil area. You get a majestic snow capped Olympic Mountain view from this property and if you book the Happy Room a peck-a-boo view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca from the large private deck. The beautiful acre grounds/gardens are very nice and much to be expected from a homestead of almost 125 years old. Bring a book to read and sit in the lovely gazebo that looks over a slow moving stream, sometimes with ducks sailing by. Or again gaze at the snow capped Olympic Mountains. Simone has brilliantly decorated Groveland Cottage with antiques of her own choosing and has up-dated just enough to make the place very comfortable without losing the centuries old charm of the place. Much of the original glass pains and stained glass still exist here, rebuilt by one of the locale craftsmen even though it would be much cheaper and easier to replace with something new/generic. Simone painstakingly rebuilds to keep the character and history of the place. I find this a refreshing attitude in this day and age of throw-away society. In the evening we enjoy lounging around the warm wood stove reading with Striker, the resident gray striped tomcat, on our lap, or sitting in the great room around the fireplace. We feel like Groveland Cottage is our home away from home with Simone as a part of our extended family. Hope to see you again soon this New Year Simone.
