Our stay at Scandinavian Escape was amazing! It was our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast and we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. Vern and Linny went above and beyond at making sure we felt welcomed from the second we got there, to the second we left. The room was cozy and clean, and the food was delicious. I would recommend Scandinavian Escape to any friends or family going to Leavenworth. We will definitely be back again!

We couldn't have been more impressed. The room was extremely well thought out and relaxing. Service was amazing - Linny and Vern treated you like family, respected your privacy, and Vern's breakfasts were delicious. The overall atmosphere of the Scandinavian Escape was one of peace and tranquility. Definitely a great value and we'll be returning as soon as possible.

We have a wonderful time away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Our room was cozy and private. The breakfast each morning was original and of Scandinavian cuisine. We were celebrating our 30th Anniversary and we were treated with watermelon heart shapes each morning. The owners are delightful and made us feel so welcome. I am ready to return!

We chose Scandinavian Escape as our B&B in 2012 after reading many reviews online and loved it so much that we made the trip to Leavenworth this year just so we could stay there again. Vern and Linny are the kindest hosts anybody could ask for. The breakfast is absolutely amazing. I can't wait to come back and I know I most certainly will.

I love this place and made reservations for the following weekend in 2015 before we left. The rooms are cozy and so cute. I slept in peace for 10 hours. The food is wonderful and served in the library where you can borrow a book for your stay. I felt so safe and warm here.

Our room was their suite which was very spacious and a nice decor, nothing gaudy or a dated theme. It had a nice rustic sort of look which is fitting for the quiet mountain getaway. The bathroom had heated floors and the tub was big enough for two. Coffee and a delicious homemade breakfast was provided every morning at our leisure; Vern had asked us the night before when would be suitable. The room also had it's own private entrance and a fireplace that we didn't use, but I assume is used during the colder seasons. The hosts Linny and Vern were very kind and accommodating. They provided us with information of the surrounding area and even invited us to come hang out with them and their friends. The only gripe with the room was the toilet and it's close proximity to the wall. But that is easily overshadowed by how nice the rest of the room and the B&B was. Would definitely stay there again if they would have us.

The Valhalla suite was amazing. Definitely a little retreat. So many details were added to the room. The owners were very kind and the breakfast was really good. There were some negatives. The owners had company over Friday night and we were able to hear them downstairs. It sounded as if they were right below us. It was our anniversary, no kids and we were enjoying ourselves. Well, the bed was squeaky, a bit embarrassing and so we felt as if we were in our parents house trying to be quiet. If we were able to hear them, I know they were able to hear us. Very uncomfortable. The shower has two shower heads, very nice, but when you turned the faucet on for one to a good temperature, the other was only cold water. We tried different ways to even out the temperature between the two but was not successful. Last thing is that my husband had to rig up the electric fire place. The wall switch to turn it on was not working. We could have called up the owner, but we don't like to bother people with little details. I really loved the room, the bathroom area was beautiful, the bed and pillows were very comfortable and the owners were very kind. If the room was an addition to the house on ground level, I would definitely come back, but being upstairs with a squeaky bed did not work for us on a romantic weekend.

A great place to get away for awhile. Enjoyed the town, the setting, the people!

Once in Leavenworth East Leavenworth Road is located directly before the bridge leading into town if you are coming from Blewett Pass. It has a wide access. Turn left onto East Leavenworth Road. The road will twist and turn with residential homes on both sides. You will go through a definite "S" curve. After that, the road straightens out as far as you can see. WE LIVE ON THAT STRAIGHT STRETCH! Turn off E. Leavenworth Road on the LEFT at a gravel driveway marked with an old fashioned country sign with house numbers listed in a vertical row. (Our house number is listed. It is 8925) There is also a sign reading: "S.E." (Scandinavian Escape!) Travel SLOWLY down the driveway past three homes. Keep winding through the trees. Our inn sits on a hill at the end of the driveway!
