Best B&B around Mt. Ranier National Park

    May 30, 2012

We absolutely love this place. The owner is super nice and a good cook. Rooms are big, clean and cozy. The house is new and well-designed. Our bed was so comfy that we felt into sleep 9pm and woke up 8am next day. We have stayed in many B&B, this one definitely is one of the best and we will recommend to our friends and family. We stayed in this B&B for 2 days and then moved to Alexander's Country Inn for the next two days. We felt we dropped from heaven to cruel reality. This B&B is hard to find online but we are so glad that we found it! Highly recommended!

    October 01, 2011

My Wife and I stayed here on our vacation Get A Way. It was wonderful and the food was just excellent. I never thought that it was going to be as relaxing as it was. The room was extremely comfortable and Shelley was an amazing cook. They were very helpful suggesting things for us to go and do. We stayed in the Garden room and loved it. They bed was so comfortable. I will definatly stay there again.

    Can't get back soon enough!

    October 01, 2011

The B&B was nicer then some of the more expensive ones. It had a beautiful wraparound deck and a deck on the top floor. And beautiful wood work. This isn’t a small house that was turned in to a b&b. It is very spacious even if it is full. It was like a home away from home. The owners made you feel nothing less than welcome. It was a beautiful location tucked away from all the crazy. They have beautiful bedrooms and common rooms. The food was even better than some restaurants. Always accommodated any needs. They always had suggestions for things to do or let us lounge around if we wanted to. Seattle isn’t that far away and lakes are in the other direction. Can't wait to go back and anyone would be crazy not to check it out.

    Shady Rest saved our day!

    September 06, 2010

Hiking the Wonderland trail, we were camped at Mowich Lake in the near-freezing rain, with a deluge forecast, and luckily found a ride down the mountain. Arriving at the doorstep of the Shady Rest, we were warmly welcomed by Mark, and were rescued by the comfort of their spacious yet cozy place. Mark and Shelley are terrific hosts, the rooms are nice, the bathrooms spectacular, and the breakfast wonderfully tasty and hearty (much needed as we hit the trail again the following day). The homemade blackberry syrup is a real hit. And a big thanks to Tom, Shelley's dad for helping us out big-time as well. Great family, who really know the area inside out. Stay there!!

    great place to stay

    August 15, 2010

We stayed in the garden room, the stone shower was beautiful, bed was comfortable. It was a very nice place, nice covered porches. The breakfast was great, we couldn't eat all of it, because there was a good amount. We would definitely go back.
