Barb and Sandy were great! My husband and I were in town visiting family for the holidays. We know the city a bit, but Barb and Sandy were very helpful, giving us new ideas on seasonal activities in and around Bellingham. I was a bit worried there wouldn't be much to do because it had been snowing and the normal hiking/outdoor activities were out of the question, but Axton Road B&B is so relaxing and enjoyable on its own that our mornings were spent inside the B&B- reading in the beatufil library, enjoying the great mountain and farm view, chatting with Barb and Sandy, feeding the goats, taking walks along the property, listening to music in our room or in the comfy living space downstairs. Barb and Sandy's home is beatifully decorated. The plentiful windows have a variety of views and their plethera of wooden furniture pieces are a testament to the artistry found in Bellingham as well as inspiration for future home decor. Bellingham is also super convenient (by car of course). Only about 10-15 minutes away you have downtown, which is full of small shops, cafes, restaurants, Boundary Bay brewery, the waterfront, and so much more. Just a little futher is Fairhaven, which has an even more artsy scene and is full of it's own charming restaurants and shops. We definately recommend this B&B to anyone looking to slow down and unwind a bit.

    Better than the website

This B&B exceeded my expectations! The website doesn’t do it justice. The Cashmere goats are adorable, and give the place a pastoral, peaceful feeling. So do the clothes drying outside on the clothes line. There are beautiful paths around the outside of the 20 acres through the woods and orchards and along the goat pasture, and past the neighbors chickens – how often can you ever walk through a private wood? Our excellent breakfasts included peaches from Barb’s tree that she had home canned, their own potatoes, and fresh organic raspberries and strawberries for the yogurt – in October! Barb and Sandy don’t give themselves enough credit for their passion for protecting the environment. Barb is the most amazing woman I have ever met – she has so many interests and projects, and does them all skillfully, calmly and gracefully. Sandy and my husband had many common interests and had long conversations about solar energy and environmental issues which they both seemed to really enjoy. The bathroom wasn't in the room, but since we were the only guests that wasn't a problem at all. The rooms are all very large and the views from the many windows are exceptional, if you like mountains, orchards, and gardens, which I do. Barb and Sandy's warmth and generosity was amazing. This is a special place that I highly recommend.

    Pleasent stormy night

I had the wonderful opportunity to stay at this fabulous B&B on a stormy night in February. The owners, Sandy & Barbara were very pleasent and provided engaging conversation in the evening before I retired to my very spacious room. The room was very well appointed and had lots of windows from which I could enjoy the beautiful scenery. Because the weather was windy and rainy I chose to stay in my room and enjoy a book from there expansive library and enjoy the sounds of the wind and rain from a very comfortable and cozy bed. As a woman who frequently travels alone, comfort and safety are very important to me and I felt very welcomed and very safe in this fine establishment. Breakfast the next morning was beyond the usual fair and made even more special as Barbara complimented the Valentine theme with heart shaped pancakes with raspberries. I would recommend this B&B to couples and anyone traveling alone on business. Easy to find and very accommodating!

I stayed last summer. Everything was great. Clean beautiful room, bathroom just across the hallway. Lots of room to wander on the property. Sandy and Barb are great hosts as well as great cooks. Barb even shared her cinnamon ice cream with me, which was very nummy. I hope to go back again this year.

Exceptional. I did not ask if private baths were available, but mine did not have one. Still-top notch.

    Innkeeper Response
A private bath is available if two out of the three rooms are full, then each room has its own designated private bath thank-you
