This is the second year we stayed at the Coolidge Inn on New Year's Eve. The staff are very pleasant and accommodating. The rooms are very affordable. It is like stepping back in time with the room décor, lighting in hallways, solid wood accents. We like staying at this hotel so much we hope to make it a New Year's Eve tradition. Oh I forgot to mention the coffee and continental breakfast that is included.

Quaint older hotel but good value and location (downtown near train station). Adjacent restaurant was very good for break fast and lunch. Many rooms but some are long term or used for "hostels"

Fantastic historic hotel kept very well preserved. Everything about it was perfect. Very helpful people at the reception, and the room had amenities way beyond what I paid. On top of all, it is close to an Amtrak station, so even though I was driving, makes me want to try taking the train next time. Only issue that may annoy some guests is that you can hear cargo trains honking in the middle of the night...

The staff at Hotel Coolidge did everything they could to make our stay a very pleasant one. We will return.

Yes, the rooms are small and yes, many are connected. But you know that's to be expected when you're booking at a hostel/hotel. I read their site before I booked and I loved my stay. I will definitely return to the Coolidge Hotel. The room was all we needed, a bed, a bathroom and a door that locks. The price was more than reasonable, especially for the convenience of being right in the heart of White River Junction. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The rooms and halls were clean. There was plenty to do locally. I think some people expect too much when they stay away from home.

My husband and I each had our own room; the rooms were connected by a common bathroom. No complaints other than his room had a window air-conditioner and the cool air did not quite make it as far as my room. I did have a box fan in my room, but I would have appreciated an AC as well. The Hotel Coolidge is not a typical cookie-cutter hotel, and that is precisely why we opted to stay there. If you want a place with character, history, and personality- it's the place for you. We enjoyed our stay and especially enjoyed the Turkish restaurant just a few doors away.

A Gilded Age matron shows her age, but with grace and warmth. The rooms were neat and clean, the hallways spacious and quiet, and the Turkish restaurant on the corner is not to be missed.

This is a super low rent kind of place. The people who run it are very nice but the place itself is not very nice at all. The air conditioner blew right onto the bed and was old and loud, the window didn't have a screen so opening it was not an option. It felt dirty (I didn't want to put my bare feet on the floor. I checked for bedbugs (which I do everyplace-even the nicest, high-end places) and there were none, whew! It was very uncomfortable, I didn't sleep a wink all night. The sheets and blankets are polyester-so you sweat to death, the room smelled awful too. On the plus side, it was cheap and the people at the desk were very nice. There is no dining room but there is a cafe next door that had good food, honey popovers were delicious, the granola, fruit and steamed milk was wonderful too. But the guy (I assume the cook) came out from the kitchen and was beyond filthy! It was disgusting and it was obviously not just from that day's work, it was an accumulation of utter filth. I nearly tossed the breakfast I'd just eaten. Upside-they were also nice and it was not expensive.

I have stayed at the Hotel Coolidge a few times over the years and love it. It is an old fashioned rail-road hotel steeped in history. Great value!

Returned to this treasure on the way home from Maine because there had been such great hospitality when the Road Scholar group had lunch there a few years ago. The feeling of the "old days" continues right through to the lodging. Rooms are comfortable and roomy, bathrooms adequate. Wish we lived closer so this could become a regular stop. It's definitely a old time hotel.....in a good way!
