We had an amazing stay for a family reunion!! As extensive travelers, we could not be happier. Friendly, personable staff who truly care. This kind of personal attention can not be found in any chain motel/hotel in this area!!!

I stayed at the putney inn for my boss as we were reviewing hotels as to were we would want to stay this winter while we closed bussiness deals..I was not very impressed with the room designs it was poorly done and looks like it was just thrown together...I was planing on leaving in the morning after breakfast...I awoke to a nice young lady named jen who said she was a housekeeper she was very sweet and my room was perfectly clean and all the personal touches made me feel at home...as I went over for breakfast the staff was nice andfriendly. Needless to stay I enjoyed the rest of my stay as I went to leave jen asked if I needed help geting my things to my car..I want to thank the housekeepers for going above and higher then any oter stay I've had before youj don't see that now a days

As I came upon this quite inn off ext 4 I was not impressed the food wasn't that great the rooms need big improvement and upgrades. However the housekeeper who says" Hi my name is Jen" was wounderful a polite cheerful addition to the putney inn. This young lady besides having extremely high cleaning skills made my stay feel like home away from home. The personal touches on my room was outstanding and her ability and strive to provide excellent service was beyond anything I've seen at any motel\hotel or inn before. The greetings every morning, the spotless rooms and her personal touches its what makes me eager to return to the putney inn

I've never actually stayed at the Putney Inn, but if the rooms are anything like my dining experience, they must be fantastic! A friend told us to stop at the Inn on our way up to Stowe. When we came in the owner greeted us and brought us to our table and poured our water. Our waitress recommended a wine that was way more than I expected for the price. I stared off with crab cakes and my wife had a beet and goat cheese salad, both were superb. For our entrees I had the filet mignon and my wife had mahi-mahi. This was the best steak I've ever had and my wife loved her fish. We split a maple moose for dessert, a true taste of what Vermont fine dining should be. We liked it so much we stopped again for lunch on our way back. Top 5 burgers I've ever had. We will definitely come back the net time we're in Vermont.

This is not a great place to stay but the location worked for our needs. Rooms are 1960 motel decor with old TV's with poor fuzzy reception. No conditioner is provided. As it was peak foliage season in Vermont, the rates were high. Continental breakfast was supposed to include home made pastries but they were not available either morning. The wait staff seemed nice but non professional. Although I have stayed here many times and had my son's wedding here, they had no way of recognizing me or greeting me as a frequent customer. I will make other arrangements in the future.

We chose the Putney Inn for the celebration of our 52nd wedding anniversary because of the advertisement we saw on the Bed and Breakfast website, and because of its proximity to the Vermont Country Stores in Weston and Rockingham, VT. My bride enjoys shopping, so the Country Store, where she saw many products that she had never seen before, was a special treat for her. The personnel at the Putney Inn welcomed us enthusiastically. We enjoyed a drink on the lovely veranda before entering the charming dining room for a delicious anniversary dinner. While we waited for dessert, I proposed again to her, asking to allow me to be a part of her life for another 52 years. She was thrilled with the new engagement and wedding rings I offered her on bended knee. After dinner we adjourned to our room to relax and enjoy our traditional bottle of champagne. Putney Inn, you made our special day even more special. Don Sheehan Tewksbury, MA
