I fell in love the minute we set our bags down in our room. What a gorgeous getaway it was! I wasn’t looking forward to the fishing my fiancee was insisting on, but it all turned out so wonderfully. We never get away, so this was a real treat for us. Imagine warm weather, picture perfect scenery in a real historic feeling place. This was exactly what the doctor ordered. We were able to rest and enjoy ourselves for once, you know?

Never been to a bed and breakfast in the States before but it was a gift from our sons so my husband and I went. You hear all sorts of lovely things about Vermont and from what we saw it was very true. Lots of greenery and with the water it was just beautiful and peaceful. My husband liked listening to his movie scores while he looked out over the water (and I liked watching him). We’ll go back in the fall because apparently it’s even more fun with the changing seasons. A worthwhile place. (Thank you PB & J!)

Me and my friends are doing that whole cross-country thing and we came across this places website and the old timey cars on the front page. The prices were good and the pictures looked great so of course we had to go. Anyways we get there my best friend is talking to one of the employee there who tells us this joke. “Hey Ralph, are you going fishing?” Ralph says “Yeah.” “You have worms?” Ralph says “Yeah, but I’m still going.” We just about died laughing she said it so well. I was eating a fish dish and that made me laugh even harder. Such a cool place!

We want to go back soon!

Ah, North Hero House… I loved it there! I want to go back right now! Initially my girlfriend and I decided to go on a whim because of a Seinfeld episode (yeah you know the one). We actually tried to get there during a time it was suppose to rain too. Anyway, that didn’t work out. The weather was beautiful and the location was excellent. The bed was more comfortable than my own! I can’t say I tried every dish but definitely try the Rhode Island calamari (if you like spicy pickled food) and my girlfriend raved about the sea scallops (didn’t try it, allergic to nuts). Don’t have much to say about the staff, they pretty much stayed out of our way, which I liked. Spoke to the owner a bit who was very friendly, but aside from that and a few run-ins we pretty much kept to ourselves and had an excellent time. Dang! Now I want to go back!

    WONDERFUL place to stay!!!

My husband and I stayed in several B&Bs in Vermont during our long trip and this was by far my favorite! The room was right on the lake and had a huge screened in patio. We could hear the water every night, and enjoying every moment of it! We sat out on the patio or went down to the grassy area to enjoy the serene waves and beautiful view. The room wasn't luxurious, but instead very quaint, down-to-earth, and perfect for us! It had a small bathroom, but again, was all we needed. It was quiet and peaceful - everything we had dreamed. The town was so small that there were only a couple places open for lunch within walking distance, and dinner was only served until 8pm but the food was wonderful! The food definitely was better than I could have imagined. Again, if you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of a busy life, and enjoy the views, water, and food, this is the B&B to stay! We will DEFINITELY be coming back!
