Barrows House Country Inn & Restaurant is a New England historic treasure which welcomes you in every season. Located in the picture perfect village of Dorset, VT, Barrows House offers you a selection of 28 rooms and suites in 9 buildings and cottages on 9 acres of expansive park-like lawns, majestic trees and exceptional gardens.
All rooms have private baths, A/C, cable TV, wireless internet access and telephones. Suites have fireplaces; some have two person whirlpool tubs. Two cottages are dog friendly. Seasonally, we offer you a heated pool, tennis, bicycles, cross country skis, sleds and a sauna.

Take I 787 North to Exit 9. Take NY Route 7 East for about 30 miles to Route 279 East at a Blinking Yellow light. Go straight on Route 279. About 5 miles later take Route 7 North to exit 4 in Manchester, VT. At exit 4 make a left on VT Route 30 North for 8 miles. As you enter Dorset Village proper you will see the large Barrows House sign on the right which marks our entrance.

From the Airport Take I 87 North to NY Route 7 East about 3 miles. Take New York Route 7 East for about 35 miles to Route 279 East at a Blinking Yellow light. Go straight on Route 279. About 5 miles later take Route 7 North to exit 4 in Manchester, VT. At exit 4 make a left on VT Route 30 North for 8 miles. As you enter Dorset Village proper you will see the large Barrows House sign on the right which marks our entrance.

Guest pets are welcome (Two Dog Friendly Cottages: Carriage House and Field House)
Children are welcome (Well behaved persons of all ages are welcome here.)
Limitations on childcare (We provide you with a list of baby sitters)
Consumption of alcohol is permitted (We have a fully licensed restuarant)
Deposit amount required (•Reservations must be secured by a deposit equal to one night’s rate or 50% of the total amount for visits longer than two nights.)
Check in time is 3:00 PM and Check out time is 11:00 AM
Cancellations:
Deposits will be forfeited if guests arrive after the date specified or depart before the final day of the reservation. Deposits will be refunded (less a 10% handling charge) provided notice of cancellation is received prior to 14 days of arrival date. With less notice, a deposit may be credited to a future visit.
