We came here on our honeymoon and had a wonderful visit. We stayed in the Wrens Nest, a cute little cottage removed from the rest of the rooms. The bed was very comfortable and the whirlpool tub was nice (though we couldn't get the jets to work - not sure if that was just us...). We were there in the summer so didn't take advantage of the fireplace. Breakfasts were at an inn right down the street and were very good! I personally prefer more of a small Bed and Breakfast feel, which I didn't really get at the Barrow's House Inn, but the room and food were both worth coming back for!

The Barrows was a perfect way to hide from the cold and wind in VT. Planned on snowboarding but changed plans when the wind closed some lifts. However, the extra relaxation with my hubby was well worth it. The Barrows Inn was a great experience and lasting memory : ) I will be back!

The staff at the Barrows House are warm and friendly and the food is excellent. My daughter and I have stayed there on numerous occasions over the last 6 years. Recently, we stayed over Easter weekend with our dog, Sarah. The Barrows house permits well-behaved dogs in 2 of its cottages that are separate from the room accomodations in the main inn. Our cottage had a king bed on the main floor and 2 bedrooms upstairs, each with 3 twin beds. There were 2 bathrooms - ideal for two women traveling together. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Dorset community and the relaxing atmosphere of the Barrows House and will choose to stay there again and again..

The setting is exceeded only by the warmth of the innkeepers and staff. Thanksgiving dinner was delicious as were all the other meals and the room was comfortable and cozy. All in all, it was a wonderful stay.

The Engel family LOVED staying at the Barrows House...The three room cottage (Truffle House) served most of us, and the roomy, clean, cozy cottage was terrific...We spent a night by the fire playing Banangrams! Two of us stayed in the Inn and that was wonderful too. A strong, delicious drink by that fire was thoroughly enjoyed after a freezing afternoon at an outdoor wedding rehearsal. The only flaw in the whole weekend was our service on Saturday morning for breakfast (the only meal we ate there)...Our family sat down around 9:00 and didn't get served until 10! Many families came and went before we finally ate (we were the last to leave the dining room). Granted, it was very crowded, but really! We tried many times to get service, telling each waitress that we were waiting, but as I said, it took an hour! That said, we enjoyed a beautiful weekend and a large part of it was your lovely inn. We will return and make sure we're sitting at a different table next time!

This is our second stay at Barrows House. Once again, we could not have been happier with our stay. My wife and I plan to return sometime this Fall. Barrows House is a truly great experience all year long.
