My husband and I stayed at Applewood several times some years ago. Now I went back by myself and found it as wonderful as always. Nancy (the proprietor ) is the loveliest, warmest woman who does everything to make you comfortable, who is gracious and friendly and helpful in every way, and her husband Ralph makes great breakfasts too. The Inn is beautiful - all the little details of furnishings and accessories are perfect, the bed was so comfortable, and the place is great. On this trip I was visitingfanily in the area for Thanksgiving and came in by train from New York There was a terrible snow storm and the roads were impassable. My son was supposed to pick me up at the train station but could not get out on the road. Instead Nancy showed up, cheerful and smiling through the storm, took my luggage and drove me to the Inn That's just an example of the kind of nice and accommodating thing Nancy and Ralph do. I will definitely stay there as often as I can.

The Applewood was a charming and historic treat on our recent trip to Vermont. The décor is gorgeous, the Innkeepers are gracious and welcoming and the breakfast was 5 star delicious and generous. Noah's bed has the softest sheets we've ever experienced. We'll be back ! Thank you Nancy & Ralph !

Our weekend was made extra magical due to old classmates gathering together and the reservation that we made at Applewood Manor back in June. Nancy is a wonderful hostess and Ralph makes the most amazing breakfast. On top of these two special people, there is a house/home filled with comfort, history and beautiful grounds surrounding it. From the moment we arrived on Friday until leaving on Sunday, we felt like welcomed old friends back for a visit, what more can you ask for? By the way, isn't that what a true B&B is all about? - Hospitable, step back in time, great discussions with other guests and a hostess joining us each morning, after making sure all our needs were met, with her cup of coffee making us all feel like part of her circle of friends. Hope I have poked your curiosity and you will be making reservations soon to find this treasure in a very special Vermont village - no matter the season. Once again, thank you so very much, Nancy and Ralph, it was definitely magical. We are looking forward to this being an annual visit to your B&B and CSC, if not sooner. Cathi and Paul

We loved staying at Applewood. It was one of the highlights of a delightful visit to VT. The accommodations and the friendly innkeepers ensured that we felt pampered, and well, special. Really, you owe yourself a little luxury at a reasonable price. Visit Applewood Manor. You won't regret it. Our only regret was when our visit was over and we had to return home.

Delia’s room is in the 18th century part of the house and has twin beds that can be easily bound together to form a king bed. Pillow-top mattresses provide soft and luxurious comfort for a peaceful night’s sleep. An elegant vanity stands in the corner of the bedroom, and the adjoining toilet/shower room, although small, is bright and appealing.

For the budget-conscious traveler, Suzanne’s room is our smallest room. It has a comfortable queen bed and is pleasantly decorated.
