omg. Just. Stay. Here.

Unbelievable place. Truly one-of-a-kind. Linda guaranteed that my teen daughters would love it and they LOVED it. I don't even know where to begin: the bounty of candy and snacks. The balloons. The vinyl collection. The guitars, amps and uke. The hot tub. The bubbles. The toys and games. The drinks. Mimosas and Sangria mixed on the spot. Like a permanent party at Willy Wonka's + Hasbro. The stunning and absolutely outstanding breakfast. Linda did a laundry for us before we left!!! The cat. She allows dogs. The soundproof walls. Movie library. Chalkboard walls. Party lights. Colored lights under the beds. Latex mattress pad. Velvety sheets. Bathrobes. Bathing suits available. Sunblock, too. In-room snack bars with drinks and cotton candy. Funky collection of shampoos and soaps. Linda's generosity and willingness to do anything to make you comfortable. The art book collection. The vintage periodicals. The interesting magazines, up-to-date. Fresh flowers. Nooks and crannies. Widow's walk with telescope and binoculars. Antiques. Refashioned funky furniture. The blank frame collection. The one-legged table. The electric fireplace nook. The stunning artwork. The etched windows. The hilarious, creative and inspired decor. The magical light-switch. The perfect ambient music. The excellent in-room air conditioner. The fountain near the cars. The fire pit. Lava lamp. Puzzles. Magnetic screen doors and unique window treatments. You can touch and explore everything and not worry about an inn-keeper being uptight about it--and there IS so much to touch and explore! Jam-packed, in fact. The service is outstanding. With all this stuff in the inn, it was hard to believe it can be kept clean, but it was! Completely dust- and cobweb-free :) I think there is more in that house or that Linda offers that I missed. Gotta go back.

Innkeeper Response
Dear Guests, Right before I read your review, I'd called our local Temp Agency and told them we needed somebody to come in for a few hours and take an inventory of the INN. Then I read your review, called them back and told them "Nevermind." That was a brilliant, thorough inventory of our amenities (I particularly loved "Willy Wonka's meets Hasbro"), and we appreciate the time and effort you devoted to it. It was a joy experiencing your family enjoying the INN, and that for us is the reward. I assembled my staff, and our elderly cat, and read your review aloud to them. I appreciate their hard work, too, and when I quoted you about the INN: "Completely dust- and cob-web free," our housekeeper (and so …much more) sighed and asked, "Does that mean you want me to add some?" What the public doesn’t know, (and you do), is that I had chosen not to remove a “very special spider web”, because I was planning on capturing that spider and making him work for me . . . making art. I had thought that was brilliant idea, as you knew I was very proud of my “Vermont” spider, who like Vermonters had worked hard and resourcefully, using all that was at-hand. As you may suspect, he got away from me, so I’ll keep my eyes open because that was a "genius" spider and I believe possibly an re-incarnation of Michelangelo . . what art our spider made! Please bring your perfectly parented — fabulous daughters and charming husband and visit us again; (we wish your daughter much success with her remarkable singing career). -Linda, her Fab Staff & Cute Cat! _____________________________________________________________________ MADE INN VERMONT BED & BREAKFAST [bed-n-brek-fuh st]; noun. An urban, chic, artisanal, intimate Victorian mansion that pairs well with localvore fare, award-winning IPAs, all-inclusive amenities, and located minutes from Lake Champlain and the heart of Burlington. Synonyms: Nothing compares. Come to Made INN Vermont Bed & Breakfast for an authentic YOLO experience. We're hip (some call us the "hip-replacement" B&B), chic and urban. We tweak your enjoyment, we tweet, we text, we've even been known to twerk on occasion. In other words, we aren't your grandmother's first choice (unless she's extremely plugged in and has the kind of blue hair Katy Perry would wear). We are the Millennials' favorite and some even bring their Baby Boomer parents along (grandma is welcome, too, but we don't have an elevator). We are within an easy walk of some of the best of Burlington's fine dining and music scene, and the Lake Champlain waterfront. Burlington is so cool, we even have “Green Cab” & Uber! (We even know that LOL does not mean "lots of love." ROFLMAO!) LGBTQ friendly? Puhleese...we've been that since before they added the "T" and the "Q," and made "L" the first letter. If you're the sort of potential guest who understood all the references and acronyms in this description: How soon can you be here?!

Romantic getaway

We absolutely loved staying at Made Inn Vermont. Linda and the rest of her staff were amazingly helpful and attentive. They went out of their way to make sure all of our needs were met. The breakfast exceeded our expectations! We were full and happy the entire weekend! The inn went above and beyond with little touches that really added to the experience. This is like no other bed and breakfast you will ever go to! Just a short walk to downtown and to lake Champlain. We will definitely be visiting again! Thanks Linda! Shayna and Steve

A Vermont Gem that would be a Gem Anywhere!

What a wonderful place to stay. Linda, the proprietor, is an absolute joy. She went out of her way to make sure my stay was fantabulous, and it was. Her breakfasts exceeded my every expectation, and were some of the best I've had anywhere. Loved the special Vermont foods and beverages. And a special shout out to all the classic records and record players. I really enjoyed playing the Moody Blues. It was a business trip - but sure seemed like a vacation.

Innkeeper Response
Thanks so much for the wonderful review! We try to think of all our guest needs in planning our hip and friendly “self-service“ (24/7), as well as our “invisible service”; for those needing more we also offer full-service. We are delighted you chose our hidden gem—millennials favorite "Burlington Place to Stay." It's great to hear our extra offering of INN-perks made you feel as if you were on a "vacation" even though you were on business. Beyond the vinyls & players, our guests often report their favorites are the candies at our candy bar, the “exclusive” Burlington B&B “Alchemist” brew service of Heady Toppers & Focal Bangers, and our extra delicious house-made afternoon cakes, pies and tarts. When you return, please try our highly acclaimed “secret” wine recipe for sangrias and our breakfast mimosas! But of course—not on a business trip!We hope your travels bring you back to us, soon. Also, we love your review title: "A Vermont Gem that would be a Gem Anywhere!" This warms our heart.Best—Linda, her “Fantabulous” Staff & the Inn's kitty: Cutie Catie.

Made INN Vermont! Great Stay!

4.8 on November 15, 2015

MadeINNVermont WOW! The coolest, coziest, sweetest, warmest, hotest place to stay on the East Coast! It was my second time staying at Made Inn Vermont and it was really a great experience. This little BnB is full of art and electric eclectic joy! The first time I was there I chatted to some guests on the way out. "Oh we're going to see the Pixies.." What? the greatest band of it's time- who are these cool people staying here? Anyway I'm gushing- great stay, great food, Linda is a hoot! and the service is top notch! -d

Innkeeper Response
I’m thrilled that you found us to be the "hottest place to stay on the East Coast! Our B&B concept is unique in the hospitality industry and guests really enjoy the all-inclusive, stress-free stays. We do offer more communal type stays in our small intimate INN; you can drink, relax, talk, play, and eat fab foods and feel like you are with friends— that's the plan! We're not trying to be "stuffy" or extra "dignified”, but rather coin the phrase “Millennials Favorite" place to stay in Burlington. A Fun Small Burlington Little Club-Like Hidden Gem of an INN - that's us!—Linda

Fabulous B&B

4.6 on September 21, 2015

Great location - easy walking distance to downtown. Large rooms decorated in hip and fun motif (with lots of snacks in room at no extra charge). Super-comfy beds and linens. Nicely appointed furnishings - comfy too! Bathroom roomy for two people with soft towels and softer bathrobes on hand. Breakfast was yummy and nutritious (we are bicyclists -so needed an energy packed breakfast that was also Gluten Free - Thank you Linda and staff). The staff was friendly and helpful. Linda is generous and informative (she offered us the use of her vehicle if needed). Hi-quality snacks always on hand in the dining area. Oh and Heady Topper Beer - now that was a Treat!!! It was a fun place to stay for our 20th. Would definitely stay again.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for your kind review and mentioning some of our all-inclusive amenities. We get a lot of cyclist guests. A bike lane runs directly in front of the inn to the Burlington Bike Path which goes all the way to Canada (of course you won’t make that trip in one day, unless you’re a “juiced” Lance Armstrong). And as they say in real estate: Location, location, location – and we were blessed to find an historic property available that is just blocks from the thriving downtown. We hope you’ll come visit us again. Still plenty of empty spaces in our secure bike rack.

Made Inn Burlington VT......

An absolutely fabulous getaway. The inn and rooms were fabulously decorated and extremely clean. We were so happy with the place. Food was to die for. Linda and her staff gave us such great attention, suggestions for dining and site-seeing and directions to get every where. Definitely worth a return trip. .

Innkeeper Response
We like to think we’re the “Ab Fab” of inns and are pleased you enjoyed your stay. We did have wonderful summer weather, but you were about a month too early for our spectacular fall foliage. October may be an “off” month for inns in other areas, but we always recommend that everyone book early for October here, when thousands of “leaf peepers” descend on us. We hope you’ll visit us again (and remember: returning guests receive a 5% discount!).

Great Get-Away

4.8 on August 27, 2015

Made Inn Vermont was a great choice for our get away. The room was wonderful and the entire b&b was great. Linda made sure we had everything we wanted or needed. The breakfast was great and Linda even greeted us with drinks after a long day of sightseeing. We had coffee in the morning in the widow's peek and watched the beautiful lake with the sun coming up. Can't wait to go back.

Innkeeper Response
Dear Guests, We are a great get-away refuge, and so far, we haven’t had any guests who were on the run from the authorities. Sightseeing here can make for some long days. First time visitors are always impressed with how much there is to see and do here. So, come back to the inn, put up your feet, don our plush robes, have a Heady Topper or housemade sangria, or relax in our outdoor hot tub. What’s not to like, right?
