The Gazebo Inn

  • Inn Details

Experience a classic bed and breakfast home in the quintessential Vermont town of Brandon. Cozy elegance and true New England style are found at this 1860s National Historic Register home. The Gazebo is located in picturesque Brandon at the foot of The Green Mountain National Forest. Mountain vistas and pastoral scenes abound. This classic Federal period home is decorated throughout with warm Victorian period pieces and original art. Common rooms include parlor, library with a Vermont Castings wood stove and cable TV/VCR, reading alcove, and screened porch. Distinctive guest rooms offer private baths, luxury linens/bedding, air conditioning, robes, and hairdryers. The 2 acres of private grounds provide vintage trees, flowering gardens, old-fashioned glider swing, and a Victorian gazebo. Mother-daughter hostesses Donna and Lindsay provide a sumptuous-- but healthy -- Vermont breakfast, refreshments of traditional treats, and take-away goodies. Stroll into town to enjoy fine dining, Stephen A. Douglas homestead, famed folk artist Warren Kimble's art gallery, the celebrated Brandon Artists' Guild, quaint shops, The Brandon Town Players, summer concerts, farmers' market, and parks with views of Brandon's lovely waterfalls. Come and enjoy the seasonal celebrations such as its famous July 4th parade, The Great Brandon Auction, and The Leaf People Festival. Minutes away are swimming at Lake Dunmore as well as hiking, biking, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, and berry picking in the National Forest. Open all year round. Families welcomed.
