Our stay at Piney Grove was a perfectly romantic treat. Our room glowed with warmth from a beautiful fire and a rose awaited me! Our Valentine's turndown featured Hershey Kisses!! We took part in a special 2-hour progressive house tour offered by the inn - It was a treat with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries served by a roaring fire. Following the tour we had a five-minute drive to the quaint Courthouse Grille - a casual restaurant in a restored country store. The country breakfast the following morning was more than we could ask for, and served in the original plantation home.

our wonderful accommodations are just what we wanted for our weekend escape to Williamsburg. Our room was comfortably furnished with antiques and very clean- spotless. Our candlelight breakfast each morning was a treat. We can't wait to return.

Piney Grove is just outside Williamsburg along Route 5 plantation road. The B&B is so peaceful with the sounds of birds, owls and geese. Our room was a suite on the first floor that had one large room and a smaller cozy room - It was perfect for my mother who was with us. Breakfast was served at a large plantation table by candlelight and we were called by a farm bell. Our host gave us excellent recommendations for local dining and touring in Williamsburg and at the plantations. The owners also offer a special 2-hour tour of the homes that make up the inn and their residences - We loved it.

Our visit to Piney Grove was like taking a step back in time. The inn is a collection of very historic landmark homes and is located among the plantations. The large rooms have antiques, but are very comfortable. While we went out to dinner at a historic tavern nearby the hosts started a fire in our room and turned our bed down - what a treat. We had a great breakfast served in a wonderful log building from the 1700s. The hosts shared the history of their special place and gave great advice for plantation touring in the area. If you like historic places, you'll love Piney Grove.
